Ryan and Shane’s boysenberry fest video was what introduced me to the idea of Knott’s years ago and made me want to visit! Finally made it to the park for the first time in 2022, but we were there on a Saturday so Timber Mountain ended up one of the only rides we got on that day. TLDR the Average Tourist test def checks out on this one lol. Was fun to relive that and see things come full circle with this ep!!

Heading to Alton Towers for the first time in August. Excited for Curse at Alton Manor and Nemesis Reborn! One thing that is missing from the podcast is praise for the Halloween Hootenanny version's soundtrack (with the Calico Coffin Creepers!) and the feeling of cruising through that spiderweb tunnel. Also the bear yells "Trick or treat," which will never not be funny.

At first I thought this was about Dudley Do Right log ride in Universal Island of Adventures (Orlando), but was happy to see another Knott’s Farm ride. Though, I would love to see a Dudley Do Right review too. I am also looking forward to their review of Tiana’s version of Splash Mountain. I do have a podcast request for next year, which is an in-person review of the new Universal Epic Universe park. I know there was an episode of the blueprints, which is exciting, but I am curious about the flow of the park (the good and the bad). Also, how the average tourist can plan a vacation for all three parks (since Epic Universe is separate from the other two). I’m planning a Universal trip and would love to hear expert opinions before I go. 😊

There used to be a log flume at Alton Towers, it had a dark ride section too with a very scary duck. There was no connection to the duck on the ride, there was just a pitch black tunnel and then a spotlight would turn on and there's be a massive duck animatronic. It scared us to death when we went on a school trip after our last GCSE exams. 😂

My favorite ride as a kid was the log ride at Michigan Adventure in Muskegon Michigan. Michigan Adventure's claim to fame was that they had a spider ride (which I also loved) but Michael Jackson bought it for neverland ranch. I hated him after that lol. But the log ride, that one was an absolute blast. Just scary enough, with the tick tick tick as you go up, but not so scary I wasn't riding it as a small child.

Not my story to tell -- but because the ride is dark and wet, my friend who was a former Scary Farm actor got a pretty badly injuryed on this ride about 5ish years ago. Which lines up with about when they were fading scare actors out of this ride. Scare actors on this ride was definitely a huge liability. They never returned to him his Hot Topic anime belt and won't re-hire him even though it was a genuine accident and just a bad location for actors. They were really unfair about it
