I found smosh in 2014 also and watched a lot of their stuff up to 2009. I saw molester moon, thought it was hilarious even tho I didn’t really know what it meant.( I was in 6th grade) I wrote it on a desk in the computer lab and got in trouble. They asked if it was me the next day and they interrogated me. Turns out it wasn’t a nice word. Got away with a warning tho.

I was like, who’s this loud blonde dude that in every video? And why does Ian look dead inside? Where’s Anthony? 😂 now I’m incapable of picking a favorite cast member because they’re all my favorite especially how they interact with each other

Fun fact: my siblings and I didn’t know what a molester was. We ran around the house yelling “MOLESTER MOON!!!” And my mom had to tell us what it was

First off, those moon face costumes are fantastic. Second, despite the subject matter, this video is still iconic and a certified classic. And there are parts of it that are legitimately hilarious, like the tripping scene, or how the moon gets foiled by the doorway being to small.

SMOSH was never good with video titles it has the same energy as Ian being a host on an episode. Weirdly too generic and uninteresting. The editors tho they work really hard and you can tell they pull a lottt of weight with the comedy aspects

I'm sure it's not meant like this, and I don't disagree it would be cool, but I see a lot of these comments and it makes me wonder how many people really think them through. They give the impression that such things are up to Ian and Anthony. Some of these people havn't been around for a decade or more. There is every chance that no one at Smosh knows where they are or can contact them. They've also moved on in life. There is a high chance that these people have more or less forgotten this period, or can't make it, or aren't interested. It's just that, with so many comments, it feels like they are saying "Anthony and Ian should just bring these people back on" like it's that simple. Sorry for the rant. Like I said, I'm sure I'm just putting that out there, and honestly, I'd love to see interviews with ex-Smosh people from that era too.@@liriodendronlasianthus

I'm glad you guys took the time to review this one! I remember very viscerally that I consciously decided this would be my last Smosh episode I watched because i determined as a 14 year old girl "Smosh is too childish for me". Looking back, that's really ironic lol but yeah, I remember this one being the death knoll of Smosh for me. LITERALLY only recently, after following you guys for the whole defy journey, the being bought by GMM journey, and then requiring the company yourselves, that I reevaluated and thought, "this company, this whole shadow, I can't believe it survived through all that. They've really earned their keep, to overcome so many odds while other channels are struggling or dying off. That's kind of magical." And then I reignited my flame as a fan again. Though I got to say, I'm glad your content has.. at least semi matured lol
