Ah yay!! I was wondering if we would see a Zelda Rap flashback! However, I didn't make the Tingle costume. I made Link, Zelda and Ganondorf (including the wig and headdress). Link's hat was indeed filled with thin plastic grocery bags; I opted for the bags instead of filler/batting because they could shape the cap better without making it bulky or adding weight. Even though I portrayed Zelda on screen, Kresta Ria Tabaranza provided the amazing singing voice of Zelda ❤ Margaret Caragan Aldrich did the fx makeup on Ganondorf, and Paula Barkley did the beauty makeup of myself and Ian (that 5 o'clock shadow, man).

They may think the pop culture references didn’t age well, but to be honest that makes the nostalgia for those of us who watched the video when it came out that much stronger. The jokes serve as a really good reference as to where the internet was back then. To me if feels like a little portal to the past, the early days of KZread. The KZread where hating Justin Bieber and making Chuck Norris jokes were peak comedy. I think this video and the song are absolutely perfect

This video also had an unitended huge impact on Smosh Games. Joven has admitted that when he, Lasercorn and Sohinki were asked how they felt about becoming Smosh Games and they realized that Smosh were the ones made this rap and immediately said yes

Back then, I was literally trying to catch at least every three episodes, because of our poor dialup internet and library only access we had. The Power Rangers, Santa Claus, the Christmas stop motions were top notch. Especially the Fun with a Condom bit, was top man. You guys will always be legends!

Can confirm that at the time, these jokes were a hit. I cosplayed Link and I ran around singing this song at conventions when I was an annoying younger version of me and everyone would crack up and join me. I have such fond memories of this video and those times that I'll show people in my life now and the aged pop culture references hurt all of us lol. I STILL love it though and would love to hear what the song would sound like if you were to write it today!!!

Flashback with Smosh is just a brilliant concept, I'm so glad they're doing it! I started watching Smosh after Anthony had left and while I watched several older videos, I didn't get through all of them, so this gives me perfect insight into their earlier videos and makes me appreciate Ian and Anthony more. Also Kourtney's little notes here and there are hilarious!
