Back in 2012, I was a 10 yr old kid watching food battles with my brother. I was at elementary and he was in his highschool. We've grown together watching every year until 2016 when it stopped. Now my brother is already working and I'm at my 3rd yr college level. It was a nostalgic feeling seeing Ian and Anthony creating food battle again. I hope the do for 2024 so brother and I could watch again. Thank you smosh! for being a part of our lives.

seeing ian and anthony working together again brings back so many memories from when i was a lil kid watching their videos. im glad they were able to buy smosh back, when they rebranded it really screwed them over. now they’re in control of what goes into their videos again which is what made old smosh so great. the best part of it all is seeing them become close friends again.

Actually this is even better than classic smosh, because its got the randomness of classic smosh, but the comedy is much more subtle. Stuff like Anthony crawling back from mexico without any dialogue, just wordless storytelling. Its perfect.

I loved the old Smosh exactly because of the whimsical immaturity. The new Smosh is still a Comedy channel, but it's now mostly just Adult Humor. Adult humor just isn't as flamboyant. I'm really grateful that they did Food Battle 2023 in the old style. It was really nostalgic and fun😅

Empty Ian mouth breathing while Anthony gets back from mexico is the best.

Honest to god, this was the best Food Battle since 2012. You reached new highs with this one and the wait was really worth it!

After all these years, Food Battle came back better than ever with Ian’s Mom still being a ruthless force of nature, Stevie still being treated like a punching bag seeking Ian and Anthony’s friendship, the original house, and even the Announcer is back after all these years.. Truly the best video of 2023!!!

No way they got Izzy to be the Bikini girl 😂. All the tropes from the song, rag dolls, explosions, Ian’s mom, ridiculous tasks, the Announcer… This is the perfect video to replicate Classic Smosh! 🤩

I love attention to detail and one detail I really loved is how they removed Anthony's tattoos (presumably by painting over them) in the flashback sequence, so he could look like his past self again.
