Thank you for the video, Dave. I agree completely. Anything that gets young people to play guitar is a good thing. People whine about the Machine Gun Kelly signatures, but they do the exact same thing. They inspire young people to pick up a guitar and play.

I think you're right! Interesting the Gibson/Epiphone are avoiding the use of her name in advertising. For sure she inspires people to play. I was inspired to learn to play guitar by a beautiful blonde haired, blue-eyed girl from church over 40 years ago. She looked and sounded like an angel when she played. Just my luck that she favored my brother, who dated her for a few years. She's long gone, but the guitar that I bought, and the love of playing guitar, is with me to this day.

I wonder if they are not allowed to mention her since Taylor guitars, appropriately, make her actual signature guitar?

For several years now, I’ve been saying they should do a run of these Everly guitars for all the Swifties. I’ve been saying they’d make a boatload of sales off Swifties without paying royalties to Taylor (I’m sure they pay less to the Everly estate than TS would want) AND making a killing. I mean, Swifties will drop major cash on anything. They’ll buy a guitar she plays without ever intending to learn to play just because they want it as a decoration or to try to get it signed at a concert. And then you also get the fans from the Everly Bros who’ve been dying to get this guitar because it’s been off the market for years and the originals are very expensive and nearly impossible to come by. Guess Epiphone and Gibson finally saw my comments. You’re welcome Swifties, lol. 😂😂😂

My wife is a huge Tay Tay fan. I like several of her songs, myself. Guess I'll have to get one of these. Lol Cool video, Dave! Rock on!

Taylor Swift fans are definitely the /Target/ demographic.

I can not see myself buying another accoustic guitar. But if I did, it would be pink....

I bet they did try to work out a deal with her and when that fell through because her people weren't sucking up enough profits to satisfy their greed, they decided to release it without her involvement & are avoiding bringing her up so they don't get taken to court. I bet it would have been another $500 to screen her signature on the back of the headstock.

might be they don't do a signature Swift guitar because ----- Taylor guitars has one? Although she's played a number of different ones (Koa 6 and 12 string models, red and black ones, a crystal covered GS, a blue Living Jewels special edition, during in her early tours --- she started playing Gibson mini jumbo around the time she shifted to pop. It might be there is an exclusivity clause in the license for that Taylor Swift Baby Taylor. I also saw a post of a Taylor Grand Symphony full size limited edition signature once, (bc a fan was going to sell it to pay for a wedding, and other fans started a fund site so she wouldn't have to.). fwiw, she donated an Epiphone Hummingbird to a charity auction during the pandemic: she often donates her used guitars to charity auctions. On tour, she's using the Gibson model, but it is possible she got several spares in case of accident or for the guitarists who play with her. in any case, someone donated a lot to the charity to get the guitar.

I think it’s also important that this is a quality guitar. They could have just gone with a ply top and traded off the Swifty looks with playability a poor second. Well done, Epiphone. It’s a good move.

You are 100% on the money on this one. I thought the Dave Grohl was going to be the guitar of the year, but ya, they won't be able to make enough of these. Really strange they're not using her name. Maybe waiting for the actual Gibson version? Hmm?
