That’s the best thing about doing it. If I can help someone enjoy a piece of their day….thats what it’s all about Thank you
DANG! For that amount and what not does how do you NOT buy one... oh ya... cause they are out of stock and don't know if they will be able to restock them. Great find to those who got one in time. Congrats. Thanks to Bark for sharing and trying to find a great deal for everyone!

Used my best headphones for this one since I was editing some stuff. I agree with your assessment. I can tell it's not the SM58, but it at least sounds similar and not bad at all for the price. For someone like me, who never takes his mics out of his tiny home studio, build quality is not a dealbreaker if other criteria are met.

Great for $9.50. Better than the 8500 value wise?
@ObscureMics
14 күн бұрын
With the 8500 being $25…I’m gonna say yes
The original is a bit "fuller" is how I would say it, but It is a very good replica that costs only $9,50! I would have a few of those in my mic case in case I all of a sudden need some more dynamic mics. I think no one will hear the different especially when it is miking something on a big stage. If they have the same SPL rating as the SM58, I see them miking a brass section that no one told me was coming along :D

Fuller sums it up. Yeah this would definitely work well in a pinch

Ok, now you have to compare it to other mics under $20, the behringer 84c, the waymic, and gear it brand mics 👍🏻 The transformer might make it the winner.

Definitely plan on it!
Man that's interesting Cheapo dynamic champion material?

At less than half the price of the XM 8500 I would say so
I think I have another obscure winner its a "BETA58A" from aliexpress and somehow its got a transformer! you gotta remove the xlr port and shine it but still it sounds great for 20 dollars!

How?? How in the world is that mic less than 10 bucks? Not complaining, but wow, this is a best buy. I mean I would not record with it, but impressive buy.

If I weren't already knee deep in these things, I'd definitely be interested. Decent equipment that even a middle schooler with a paper route can afford? Compare that to the plastic cigar that came with my cassette recorder in 1974!

lol plastic cigar. Good description
I'm hearing this on my cell phone so I really can't tell anything about the quality. But I'd love to know how they're able to sell a microphone that actually has a transformer in it for 10 bucks.

Hawk tuah huh? Jeeze man… $9.50 thats a little ridiculous. Wonder if the balls are interchangeable. If so, its worth it as a replacement for the screen for the shure. The difference in the high end is not bad. I cant imagine another sub $20 mic beating that.
@ObscureMics

Indeed
Unless you live somewhere in the world that $100 U.S. dollars is the equivalent of a million just get a real Shure SM58. Over the course of a year that's a giant .28 cents a day. If you used the mic for ten years that's a a whopping ten dollars a year and if you don't lose it or have it stolen it will last half a century or more. Why waste your time with a mic that is maybe "almost" as good as the real thing when the real thing just isn't all that much money??? The race to the bottom for the cheapest product that sorta comes close-ish to the original is silly. You can pay ten bucks and wonder for as long as you own the cheap clone about how close it might or might not be to the original iconic mic or you can just get an actual Shure, know that it's good and get on with using it probably for the rest of your life if you choose to.
@ObscureMics

Totally get that. There are however a lot of people who want to get into podcasting, KZread, or other hobbies that don’t want to drop $100 on something that $10 can do for a long time for them. Again…totally get not going cheap if you are going to be on a stage or are getting paid from the get go. But for a new hobbyist, it’s not always just as simple as buying a $100 mic

@@ObscureMicsYeah I get that some people either don't have much cash at all to spend or just want the cheapest thing that will get the job done. Still I think many miss the point that one can get the actual Shure SM58 or an SM57 which are super solid great sounding mics for only about $100. And if you can't come up with the $100 all at once you can even pay just $3 a month for three years with no interest and still own the real deal. Real quality audio tools are an option and quite available to almost anyone at least if you happen to live in the U.S.
