Don’t forget that tourist season is also a community Team effort in towns like this, and that includes boat crews. It’s an inter-dependant ecosystem. Everyone looks after everyone in Italy, because it works. It’s just not transactional, in the black & white sense. All the crews talking and eating together leads to better safety for all crews, and that’s crucial for their families. That restaurant needs to survive the off-season, the bad years, the weird pandemics. What better way than staying in good rapport with the locals, and getting to display their food skills and loyalty when it really counts?

I love that the “everyday” life of the Amalfi coast is ever MORE beautiful then the edit “influencer” version most people see! ❤

What a wonderful experience today for all of us who wanted to know more about the ins and outs of the Blue Star Amalfi Coast boat tours. The exchanges between Captain Carlo and “Imposter Skye” (AKA, Nicki) were so much fun. What a treat to see all the stops including the grotto and other gorgeous swim spots. And, as always, it was great to see Nicki’s Carlo pick her up and take her home. ❤

I agree! I went to the amalfi coast a long long time ago and this video took me straight back to that trip, the sparkling seas, beautiful calm blue waters, the energy in the air.

Captain Carlo was adorable, great personality.

Wow, I can't tell you how much I loved watching this one, Nicki! It's one of those things you don't think about. You take these boat tours but rarely consider all of the effort and long hours that go into the preparation and running of these boats. The days are long & hot, but everyone seems so cheery. They must love what they do to continue to do it, day in and day out. It's so beautiful to be able to see the sea from the vantage point of inside the boat. Someday, my dreams of going to Italy will be realized. Until that day, thank you for taking us along. ❤

Thank you and the younger Carlo for taking us along on the Amalfi coast cruise. We did the same cruise last year in early October in the same boat with Fabio. It turned out to be the best thing we did during our stay in Positano. Elizabeth was made us feel like old family friends. We can’t say enough positive things about Blue Star.

Thank you Nicki. For this wonderful look at life on the water in Positano. Its Sunday morning here in Northern California .We are experiencing at heat wave here right now with Temp. rising to 100deg. F I am about to feed my wife breakfast of fresh fruit,yogurt ,Denver omlette and juice . Kathy is bedbound due to Dementia.Light is flooding in from the garden and a warm breeze is flowing across us as we settle is for our visit to Positanio. Every scene is so refreshing ,The early morning start, The prep of the boat , The banter between each other, The meeting of the visitors. Kathy was a traveller and visited Italy several times . She was an excellent swimmer and diver and I can imaging her enjoying the Emerald Grotto . Listening to the Mediterranian lapping off the boat and the conversation in Italian just captured the magic of what you do and what this medium can do. For a little time on a Sunday morning Life is suspended in sights, sounds, smells ,tastes and most of all Joy. Thank you again for allowing the Spirit of Things to be revealed

What lucky patrons to have you & Captain Carlo to provide them with a magical day on the Amalfi coast. Bluestar Positano is clearly a top tier organization that not only treats their clients like royalty, but more importantly, their crew 💙⭐ P.S.: When you have the black Hello Everywhere t-shirt with the lemons in your store, I'm going to buy 3 just for myself and another 4 for my family!

This was so much fun, Nicki. Carlo was an absolute delight (your Carlo, too). He was very entertaining, funny, and sweet. It really shows how hard the work is and how long the days are for these captains and crew. I hope one day, when I get to Italy, I have the opportunity to be on the Blue Star Boats. I'd say you did really well, Nicki!

Best video EVER! Brings back so many memories. Italians are so so nice and professional! Also love the fact that the owners of the restaurants are so considerate in offering all the captains of the boats a beautiful lunch and a place so they can relax, it's very generous.

That was a very interesting and fun video. Those captains and assistants do a lot of work. All day and evening!!!!! That’s a long day and hard work for 6 months. No time off until end of season. Thank you for doing this video Nicky.

That is a trip of a lifetime for many people, so it is great that they are treated so well by the Captain and crew. Thank you for working as crew for the day so that we can see it from both perspectives. I am sure it is not an easy job, being out in the hot sun all day, making sure everyone is safe and having a great time, watching out for other boats and swimmers, paying attention to the time, cleaning and preparing, anticipating the needs of the guests, and doing it all with a cheery attitude and a smile on your face! And hopefully, you have kind and interested guests.

Great video. Took me back to my days on the dive boat I worked on when living in Antigua, WI. It was a lot of work, filling tanks, loading tanks, fitting masks, snorkels, food, drinks, other supplies, cleaning at end of day, but the best part was taking the divers out on an underwater tour and making sure everyone was safe and back on board. It is good to get the inside scoop about boat tours; so much happening behind the scenes; it's like ducks on a pond. They appear idle as they glide along, but the legs are paddling furiously below the surface. I admire your ability to balance vlogging and putting in a full 10 hour day simultaneously. What a great video! I think your joyous attitude is what keeps you looking so young and beautiful. Skye has a wonderful role model mom.

Carlo knows how to work the crowd, I'll bet he does very well in that job...and Nikki you're a natural too. I work the travel business as a tour guide so this was fun to see how Positano does their boat tours. I was in Positano back in 2022 and would love to come back and do this boat tour. The Amalfi Coast is so beautiful.

I would love to be able to go on a cruise with the Blue Star crew, such a lovely group of people. Thank you Carlo and Elizabeth for letting NIcki film this wonderful trip, a treat for those of us who are not in Italy. The Blue Star group and all the boat crews do an amazing job during the summer season. Hats off to them! 🎊 🌟 🌟

Going with you and Captain Carlo on a day boat tour was so much fun. The clients were treated so nicely but I was also very impressed with how well the crew are treated by the restaurant. My husband and I did something similar in the Caribbean years ago and had an absolute blast with both the crew and fellow passengers (all strangers) helping to make the day super special.

Thank you so much for sharing this behind the scenes of a Blue sky Boat tour work day so we can really understand the long work hours that make holidays safe and relaxing for so many! Hospitality is much more strenuous than it looks because it is caring work.

When I visited the coast I didn’t even think of day trip out on a boat. We did however take a boat back to catch the bus & train to Naples. It was so glorious. I grew up on the water, living in the San Juan Islands off the coast of Washington. We didn’t realize how blessed we were to have our own boat and be out weekly on the beautiful Pacific Ocean.

It's a bit of a rainy and boring sunday in the netherlands today. What a very nice short holiday nicky provides us, just could not be better, thank you thank you dear. I have grown very fond of you and carlo and hope we can walk along with you for a long time to come.

I hope you will consider making more of these videos. Working in the shops and restaurants of Positano would give everyone an appreciation of how hard everyone works to make these holidays memorable.

I knew I wanted to return to Positano and after seeing the wonderful service provided by Elizabeth and her team, I want to experience it myself. Thank you Nikki for sharing and showing us how the magic comes about; hats off to the captains and crew that do so much for their clients.
