Me too! It was very heartwarming to see and hear the family singing and worshiping together.

The way you ended this video is a Christmas gift to all your viewers.

As a father to 6 daughters and soon to be off grid as well, the video was beautiful, the systems you all have implemented are awesome and the homestead is beautiful. However, the real success that you all have created was the last few minutes of your video where you were praising God. You both have given your daughters what my wife and I are trying to give our daughters that is more important than off grid life, sustainable living or success and that’s a strong relationship with Jesus, faith in the valley of the shadow of death and the love for family that is gone in our present world. Been a very longtime viewer and am happy that this is the only channel on KZread I let my kids watch without worry of what’s coming on. Kudos to you all for not being afraid to show your faith to the giants of the world.

I grew up in a large family in Wisconsin. We had wood heat and cooked on a wood stove, only cold running water. We had gardens and animals and an outhouse. We had a river to fish and swim and a forest to hunt. We didn't have money so I thought we were poor. I don't know why I ever thought getting a job and living in town would be better, it's not. This video brought back a lot of memories, especially the end with the music and singing. God bless you and your family and Merry Christmas to you!!

Wow! It takes a lot to get me emotional. But, when all of you started singing together, I got teary and have to walk away so that my wife doesn't see me. Being an only child and not having my biological parents, loosing my mom when I was only two days old and my dad was too young to take care of me. I always think and daydream how my life would have been like if my parents were still around. Seeing your family doing everything together makes me happy and I wish I had the same experience when I was young. I have my own little family and I'm doing my best to do the things that I was unable to do with my parents. You and Rose did a fantastic job with your kids. Oh and the view is not bad as well. Totally beautiful!

I love the life you've made for yourselves! My dream is to live in the woods here off grid, and until then I'm "backyard homesteading" in town. I grow and forage and hunt and fish for my food and herbs, preserve it myself, cut and split my firewood, brew my own wine and mead, make sourdough, grind my homegrown corn, hand mill wheat, sew, crochet, etc! I just shot my first deer and make summer sausage, jerky, pressure canned some and the rest is in the freezer. My last task is tanning the hide to make things from. Everyone can learn skills to be more self-sufficient, even if you live in town! I hope my channel helps others learn these skills, just like you are showing us! Happy Holidays guys!

Thanks for taking us along for a day in your life. Our winter is just starting here, it's been a mild one so far, mud and snow lol. Off-grid living in the winter is where it gets real, we put away the toaster lol and the wood cookstove becomes my partner in cooking and heating our home. Gone are the days of summer and endless power to waste, instead sometimes you feel you are living in the clouds and of course there is always the unexpected things, the struggle to make the generator work etc, but I wouldn't go back to the city for any amount of money, and I mean that!

Merry Christmas to you all! You are living a dream, while some are dreaming of living! Life off leash or life off grid is the hardest and simultaneously the most rewarding kind of living!
