As you are well aware... there can be lots of negativity on this platform which can easily discourage you from doing or saying stuff , for the last 18 months or so I've kept in my lane, ignored what others think and just got on with it. I think Kyosho builds some great vehicles, they just don't get a lot of attention. This truck is pretty quick and tough.

The Best Part About this Van For Me Is I can Watch all you KZreadrs Go Mad With Yours and i can Dial Mine down to half way on two S and still pull a wheelie and keep it in shelf queen looking machine that it is - so love this truck and so cool now that i've put in the light kit from Ebay for only a Fiver looks super scale even more now cheers Tomley Love your channel my friend Gotta Chat some time soon Buds.

The start of the video had me laughing, funny seeing it skidding by on its roof. I would like to have one it looks awesome. It seems surprisingly stable when you were bashing it around.

This week hopefully

Need to shim the diff ring gear and input gear. Kyosho don't do this, so the gears last 5-10 packs if you're lucky. It was the same with the original MV. 12x15 for the diff, 5x7 for the input. Rather than add these from the factory, Kyosho fitted gardened gears but irs not solved the cause. Odd, as a shim is so cheap... The original chewed up spurs too, in less than a pack sometimes. There's a 32dp upgrade that works a treat. Other things to do are get the diff seals and fill them with oil plus add 350cst shock oil and check they're not leaking, as they all seem to. To keep the front down, add weights, its such a light thing that they just flip.

Hi Phil. You got some great shots in the bash segment. Good to see that the plastic roof bits saved the body in the speed test. Mine still sounds really screechy at speed like there is something wrong with it but I've had it apart and can't find anything. That clicking noise you had at the end does sound like something else. Hope your gears are ok!

The Mrs and I have both of the Mad Vans. We are almost finished with our fully upgraded Mad Van original and it now has a 4000kv 3s brushless system in it. We’re waiting on pinion gears ⚙️ and then we’re on to speed runs and some serious bashing.

This thing is a classic, Im pretty sure I remember contemplating buying one back when the traxxas tmaxx came out, I went with the tmaxx but I would have kept this one running just the same =)

amazing looking machine, its a truck to have fun with like a lunchbox... not a basher or a racer but its sure fast when you keep it planted.

Impressive stuff! Would controllability be improved on-road with some different wheels / tyres? I know that's not the point of the Mad Van but I can see there'll be a future video out there of 100km/h + runs with these things.

I never noticed a battery get better ever but I did yesterday for the first time. My lipo 80c Golbat 2s woke Right up in the Gen 8 yesterday on the mud run 👊😀 It was so fun This could use some mudder tires it’s nice 😁👌🙂👍

Great video and wow that’s impressive 54 mph on 3s. Maybe a gear change to keep it on 3s or will it still overheat? I’m so glad my LHS got these in stock. Definitely picking one up this week. Figured I'd pop in and answer a few things like this since I got tired of waiting and just tried it. lol So, I've had mine for a little over 3 months now (don't judge, they were out of stock for months here in the US lol), and I run it on 3s on a regular basis. I do have a 3300kv Reedy on hand from my MT10 just in case I were to need, it but thus far I've had zero issues with it. The motor gets a bit warm at times, so I did add a heat sink and high RPM cooling fan, but otherwise we're golden. My suspicion is where the motor is rated for 50k max RPM and it's 4,000 KV that you could, conceivably, max it out although I feel the weight of the tires at least would prevent hitting that 50k even if you were to be full throttle up in the air. I do also take the precaution of dialing my throttle max down to about 90%. Most of the time. But, yes, thus far spur, slipper, diffs and motor are all handling it without complaints.

These have the most georgeous paint.like a crome red..like to truck body chrome or blue

This one is loads of fun, reason why it didn't fail on 3S, because it kyosho, Japanese quality.
