I think this video was more promotional! Many people have complained that the transmissions of their Mad Van VE trucks seem to fall apart like butter and that they are more focused on being the queen of the showcase! It is very far from being a basher, I think the Mad Van brushed version is the best option! Well, it is safer not to break steering arms (differential teeth at a decent 22-23 mph) regards

trust me you don't want one, they look cool but that where it ends, the suspension is way to weak to handle all the stress the big tires put on the car, the reason the brushless mad van won't go straight in the rough dirt is because there is more then a half inch of play in the steering that with the big tires cause the car to bump steer all over the place. however the worst thing about the mad van ve is that to cut cost Kyosho used dog bones for the front end instead of cv joints and because of all the flex in the suspension the dog bones tear the crap out of the cups within a few pack, for mine it was 5 packs and that with never jumping my mad van, i just ran it on an oval track and it still tore up the cups.....

The primary "correct answer" to your question is price. For the manufacturers and for the consumers. And it's far more than just the electronics. As soon as you put brushless power in a vehicle, the whole thing needs to be upgraded and possibly re-engineered. That means that the manufacturer has to make a R&D investment. Lastly, skill level plays a huge role in why manufacturers need to offer brushed vehicles (or versions of vehicles). There are lots of folks that are just getting in the hobby or who just don't have the dexterity to handle brushless speed and power without constantly breaking their vehicles. And that's just not fun.

With those smaller 1/10 wheels it looks like a lowrider. If the body was like The A-TEAM 1983 VANDURRA would be even better. They should start coming out with movie car bodies like Christine, Back To The Future, Ghost Busters, The Car and others. The one I would want the most is the MAD MAX V8 INTERCEPTOR for my DR10. I am about to try and make it myself soon.

Yeah, 1/8 buggies are awesome. I've raced and bashed them, although personally, I think they make for better race cars than bashers in rough terrain (not as true on smooth pavement). In rough uneven terrain, a wide and stable platform will best serve you and keep you tire side down longer, something like a Kraton 6S BLX. It just depends on your terrain, how you like to drive and where you want to drive. This is all pretty nitpicky though, you'd probably be stoked driving any of the 6S BLX vehicles honestly. -Brett

Every time you crashed that beautiful body I cringed. I can't believe the body held up that well. What did Kyosho make that body out of? My Mad Force Kruiser VE version 1 original body was not that tough...not even close. This thing looks like a blast to drive, and that price is unreal. Kyosho is going to sell these like hotcakes.

The rear of the body is weak due to the cut out. It will crack after a few hits. I own a Mad Van VE myself.

It's same but brushless and with wheelie bar. Nothing else you can do it on your own. 4:28 you have damaged camera lens, black marks on recording.

As far as I know it's been good. You don't need many unique parts for these fazer cars because so many are shared on the platform, and then platform to platform. -Brett
