Why. Cargo space is junk, rides harsh, power is weak, could be more comfortable or sportier and it fails at both. Not only that, honda reliability has tanked in the last 10 years. So is it just appearance and mpg cause thats a lousy way to buy s car.

The sport rims are the best looking rims imo. The other options on Honda's website look amazing in person. Lol Honda pretty much makes the most attractive wheels in the mainstream segment. I like the hybrid powertrain over the 1.5 but cvts give me motion sickness so the 2.0 with the 10 speed ftw. Great review as always!

Aside from the 21’ 2.0T Sport (mine). I bought a 21’ Hybrid EX-L (Partner’s). Cons: the brake & gas pedal feeling is a bit odd. Unable to drive the car off w/o seatbelt secured, relocating the car real quick in the driveway, is now annoying. Pros: The regen paddle shifters feels like you’re playing a video game, commute to/from work here in LA County, lots of hillside highway driving and the regen paddle shifters are awesome, especially going downhill. The exit “Econ report”, I’m still figuring it out but, if the “flowers” are fully bloomed and the bar is filled, you got the “best” efficiency during your drive. The hybrid is quick, I drove on Sport Mode during a round trip, and I was pleased with it and still got 38MPG, which I’m only getting 21MPG on my 2.0T Sport 😂 If anyone is curious, the hybrid goes generate a “humming” noise but it’s not annoying. A neighbor has a Lexus UX hybrid, and geez, the most unpleasant sounds EVER! Avoid that thing! When on reverse, it has a “holy/futuristic sound” and my passengers and I laugh as it’s a trip. Once again Kirk, keep up the awesome content and always look forward seeing a new vehicle review. If you haven’t done so, perhaps a 21’ 2.0T Sport as future video? 🙏🏽 ❤️

I believe the regenerative braking manually set by the paddles in the 2021 Accord Hybrid does not reset after you come to a stop when you are in the Sport mode, only in the Econ mode. In the Sport mode, the setting remains the same and is cancelled once you turn the car off or if you change to Econ mode.

The "left side" of the driver's display is very customizable. Press the "home" button on the steering wheel, and you get a list of more than 10 different displays. You can turn most of them off if you don't want a list that long, and re-arrange their order. You don't need to use the paddles to get regen braking. It's seemlessly integrated into the brake pedal; so well integrated, that you later said it doesn't feel like regen brakes. So if you are coming to a stop, as you describe, you can just use the pedal. The different levels are for adjusting the effect when you are coasting downhill, or coming to a long, slow stop. They reset because it can be a too-sudden jolt when you lift your foot off of the accelerator. But they stay in SPORT mode, for a limited one-pedal driving.

I'm heavily considering this, but i don't get why they don't just use the dashboard layout of the Civic, which is great. Big number with the speed, configurable options, fuel on the right. Also the 19 inch wheels that reduce fuel economy and ride comfort on what is supposed to be a comfy appliance makes ZERO sense. Plus it reduces sidewall on a car without a spare!

Shame it's just a sedan, was wishing for a liftback with that back end. Honestly i never get sunroofs/moonroofs, if it's light you want just get a light interior(white/light grey, cappuccino brown, etc.) plus in the summer they're hot and in the winter you have a lot of heat escaping through there (think people who live in the northern parts of the world get it best also have seen them use insulation there (Bjorn Nyland)). Comparing to the prius (gen 3 as you have) does the delay feel the same, better, worse? Not gonna lie, i use the ev button on my gen 2 prius (Europe) only when i know i'll have a long straight / downhill road or a downhill section is coming, otherwise i have no power. In general i think it's best to compare all hybrids (except for minivans, suvs, trucks(pickup), super and hyper cars and luxury autos (s class, LS, 7 series)) to a Prius (any gen since they're all roughly the same and almost everyone either knows who has/had one or has/had one themselves). And for the greatest question is the interior(seat covers?) stylized like a 2nd gen insight or is it more like a spaceship(bubble) civic?

Very misleading review in one aspect(and for some the most important). Reviewer mentions that although in eco mode the car is very slow to respond, if he stops there, thats fine and accurate but then he says "its the limitation of honda system". That couldn't be further from the truth. In sport mode, driving the speeds he was driving when he made that statement, this car is more responsive than my 16 macan turbo at that speed, my 15' corvette stingray and certainly more responsive than anything in its class. Granted the cars i just mentioned will destroy it 1.5 seconds into the race however, we are talking about responsiveness and this thing(shockingly and surprisingly) excels at that. So its def not a limitation of the system, as a reviewer you cant say im going to put this car into the ultimate gas savings mode that geared to do one thing and thats save fuel, CUT throttle response and then say the car isnt responsive. I bought this solely as a commuter car (100miles a day) expecting it to suck the living soul out of me, but the aspect of how insanely responsive it reacts to throttle inputs(0-40 mph in sport mode) is what makes it really fun for something that not supposed to be and a huge differentiating factor from the other hybrids. at city speeds, in all the other hybrids, you drive the engine, here you drive the electric generator just like an electric car and it reacts as such.

@Jean Toronto Raptors The Honda system is NOTHING like the Toyota system. Neither are CVTs. They both behave like CVTs, but the Honda system is more like an EV with a generator than anything else.

@Jean Toronto Raptors The only similarities are the label "eCVT" and the fact that both use two motor-generators and one engine. Better link: global.honda/innovation/technology/automobile/hybrid/i-MMD-picturebook.html

I have a 2022 Hybrid and is amazing, but if you mostly drive in highways with 65 of 70mph limit. you will never get 40mpg. Believe me in have tried. And the sound system sucks!!!!!! Big time! Is quick and handles great, very comfortable and it looks great too. I love it, but I was disappointed with the aforementioned issues.
