I’ve got over 100 miles on my Ranger S, and so far I love it! There was a bit of a learning curve for me with the app and adjusting the PAS speeds, but now I love that, too.

As an owner of a tiny car, folding bikes are pretty much the only option for me 😅 Thanks for this review! This is one of the candidates I’m considering for my Dad and I.

The pedals do fold to reduce space when storing or transporting the bike.

Its very nice, but the real issue with a lot of these fold bike is the lack of a rear suspension and poor seat comfort.

What happens if you get caught in the rain, will it damage the battery or anything? I am traveling to Central America for a season. Would it be wise? Please give me your advice, it will be stored in doors but I know at time I will be in rain and going through water.

The web site says the Ranger is classified as a Class 3, not a class 2. Still a little confused about those definitions.

Hey, yes the classifications can be a little confusing. Class 2 refers to an electric bike with a throttle assist. Class 1 & 3 are reserved for the pedal assist only. A class 2 bike can be limited to class 1 or 3 speeds but the throttle will not support past the class 1 speed rating. Hope that helps.

We just brought a Lectric XP3.0 in on test and will have a review out soon. They are definitely similar, but we'll have to wait til we do the review to better know which we prefer between the two.

Had Lectric 2.0 and have Heybike Mars. I'd go for the Heybike Ranger for easy of access. Love the Mars but it's hard for me to get on and off (I'm 5'1"). It has great power !& stability vs. The Lectric.

    The chain looks loose!

A higher spec level derailleur would have a clutch in it. Essentially a spring tensioner to keep tension on the chain. Despite not having one I didn’t have any issues with the chain jumping on me while navigating super rough terrain.

You mean to tell me a 750 W motor and they've got it limited to 21 miles an hour with the throttle that's terrible. In my opinion, I would think with the throttle it should go 28 to 30 miles and hour what a waste of a nice looking Ebike that's really to Bad😢

In the US, Class 2 regulation on all bikes is as follows: Pedal Assist up to 28mph and Throttle Assist up to 20mph. This is just the legal guidelines to create 3 different Class ratings of electric bikes, of which bike manufactures have to comply with for US sales and distribution.

I don't know what to tell you man I've got three e-bikes I live in the u.s. they got 750 W Motors and they hit anywhere between 32 to 28 miles an hour with the throttle and I'm not really sure how fast they would go peddling them

We're not the ones bummed out ;) Just sharing our thoughts and experience. You're right though, it is an interesting thought that the throttle has less, but we can be glad our rules aren't more strict like other areas of the world.
