The app allows you to adjust PAS sensitivity so if someone wants the motor to kick in sooner than a couple of revolutions it can be set to that. Also, (pet peeve warning) people are regularly complaining about ebikes not going 28 mph throttle only (not just with Heybike models). By law, Class 3 ebikes can't go above 20 mph throttle only. Instead of grumbling about the bikes, people need to do some research on ebike classes. Another reviewer went to great lengths to complain about this. He really made himself look foolish IMO because he made it appear like this was Heybike's fault he couldn't pedal fast enough to go 28 mph. (kudos to you for pointing out you have to be in really good shape to pedal fast enough to reach 28 mph on level ground. Or replace the chainring with one that has more teeth). People need to remember that things like advertised range and top speed are under optimal conditions, with a professional rider who probably weighs around 170 pounds doing the testing.

E-bike classes and laws change state to state. Here in New Jersey you can have any speed on the road legally. I have a customer with a 250lb electric motorcycle that the DMV said he doesn’t have to register it. He drives it 50 on the roads, jersey still considers it a low power electric bike. Also only the ranger S and Tyson have this feature as far as my knowledge. The brawn’s all go 28 throttle only. 29 or 30 if it’s a full charge
