I have only 1 Luna, a big-Z. As a throwing putter, it does a -1 1 flight path. I already have a Z Buzzz that does exactly that. So the Luna isn't needed for that. As for the advertised 0 3 fade, that's just bs. Maybe that's why on Discraft's website today, all plastics except Titanium are discontinued. On a putt, I find that if I miss, it sails too far past the basket, and have replaced it with a Challenger, which works better for me. As for that 03 disc I wanted, I found the Stabilizer which does exactly as advertised. My gorgeous (but useless) Luna is now up for sale. I will look into the Pure though. Several guys bag one, and this time, I'll try before I buy. Thanks for the tip.

I guess I’m gunna have to give the Pure another shot for putting

You should!

The Pure is a perfect putter. It is great to throw, cycle a few baselines for touch shots and flippy throws. Keep a premium (preferably Opto X) on hand for a slower seasoning and a perfect lazer beam thrower at all times.

The Pure is a pretty incredible throwing putter. And yes, baseline putters should not have to be $20+

I honestly haven't tried any premium plastic Pures to throw yet, but I'm so used to my Lunas flights now I don't think I would replace them

I'm also a fan of both Luna and Pure, and also switched to using Pure for putting. I have to recommend the Hope though as a replacement for Luna. It's basically the same, but plastic choices are both incredible and they're also far cheaper and more consistently available. The new Royal Grand Hope might actually fill every putter slot in my bag on its own, other than Proxy which is specifically for ultra-straight mid-range shots.

I’m pretty new to this and have the Aviar dx 171 g..I like the reviews on this pure but can someone please explain the different plastics and maybe steer me in a direction?

I've only tried putting with the Zero Medium and Zero Hard plastics. The Medium is a bit softer and has more grip, while the Hard is stiffer and is a little more slick. I personally prefer the Zero Medium, but I would recommend trying both if you can to see what fits you best!

Nothing like the same. 3302 vs 2401 Luna Roach Envy Rainmaker Warden Alien skygod IV Banger gt Pure Judge Nomad Get the idea yet.. Every putter is the same but the envy and Luna..they are like a rounded firebird overstable

Lunas are not as overstable as the flight numbers indicate

Anything is better than a Luna. Most uncomfortable putter I've ever owned by a significant gap.
