What's concerning Henry? The Priest who "Baptized" him probably gave him the Tarot cards to begin with. Russel is where he wants to be for now, and I for one suspected this was going to happen a year ago, and I stopped watching him around that same time. Agreed. Which is why we should pray that Christ moves within him and guides him away from such things. Condemn the sin not the sinner. Help guide those that fall short and sin because we all do. So many Christians are quick to condemn and chastise others yet won’t then help others towards a more Christ like life. Those that do as Russel does need guidance so that they may truly live in accordance with what Christ taught us. I see so many in this comment section that are quick to call him a fake Christian because he is sinning. Yet we all sin. We are sinners. So does that mean we are all fake Christians? It’s important to remember the only person that walked this earth that was without sin was Christ. Yet even he forgives us at every turn. If our God that is all powerful shows grace and forgives those that repent… then as Christians our duty is to help others recognize their sin and correct it. As Christians we need to help our brothers and sisters in Christ try to live a better life with the least amount of sin as humanly possible. Heck it’s also our job to do that for non believers too. If all we do is instantly condemn others for sin then we are shutting off their hearts from Christ. It also makes us hypocrites if we condemn others for sin when we ourselves are not without sin. It’s okay to call sin out. It is not okay to condemn others for it. It’s important to know the difference.

I hope he does come to Christ legitimately and repents. The symbols and his talk and his connections make me think maybe that wont happen. A relationship with Christ and believing he died for our sins and rose on the third day is what saves us, not “religion” or “my Baptist church” is better than “your non-denominational church”. There’s ONE CHURCH! All this division within the followers of Jesus Christ of which I’m one, is doing more harm than good. Doreen Virtue did an interview about Russell Brands baptism and explained her journey of coming out new age. It’s definitely a journey and Brand desperately needs discipleship. Doreen didn’t get it correct immediately and she talks about that. She admits she was baptized and yet not truly saved. So pray for Russell Brand. He influences a lot of people whether we like it or not.

Someone who has lived his whole life in the world then turns to Christ will have baggage. We all have baggage. Sanctification is God's work, praying Russell reads his Bible and God can do the rest. As Christians lets pray, and trust God for the rest. I pray he will not get caught up in "works based"religion like his wife. He needs our prayers and for a brother to walk alongside him.

The experience he described, the joy and serenity, the being carried, is to me a clear sign of rebirth. Only now he will start the journey to become Christ like. As @NancyAlmighty says a New Christian will make a lot of mistakes. Only now the Holy Spirit will start convicting Russel on those mistakes, and he will hate that he made the mistakes. Remember the journey of the apostle Paul; his ongoing battle with his own flesh. If Russel is "playing" Christian, like kayne west, Russel will fall like kayne west. I pray for Russel that this is not the case, and that he will continue on this extremely narrow yet absolutely amazing path to Christ.

Some of you have been saved for so long- when you first come to Christ- you don't know everything right away. But the more you read and pray the more you grow. Hopefully, he is just asking questions and he will learn and grow. Christians need to stop determining if someone is really saved or not -let God work it out and reveal it. How long till there is change in a believer then? Most people see a change right away ,the spirit bears witness to the new life as the old is passed away. And in that new life there is a real desire to not do the things you used to. Russell however thinks it's all a joke and I have never heard him say that he was saved before he decided to be baptized, putting all the emphases on being water baptized. He has never talked about sin in his life and Jesus as his saviour. Unless you can tell me of a video stating otherwise. You need to listen carefully to what Mr Brand is saying, because it is this that's witnessing against himself that indeed he may not be saved.

Some will claim that you are "judging" when you are simply making an observation of the fruits produced by others. That's not "judging", what the Lord was telling us not to judge was we are not to judge someone to be unworthy of hearing the Gospel of Christ. Simply observing what someone is doing is not judging! You act as though you have the authority to know Russel’s heart. If he has Christ in his heart then we pray for him to change his wicked ways. If he doesn’t have Christ in his heart then we pray that Christ comes to him. You call others “so called Christians” yet you yourself believe you hold some higher authority to condemn another when you do not and never will know another’s heart like Christ can. At the end of the day if he is pretending to be Christian then he will be judged for his sins in the end. It’s not on us to decide that because we do not have the authority to do so. For you to think discernment gives you the authority to condemn is heresy too. We have the discernment to see evil and sin. We can call out that sin but we can’t condemn the sinner. That power rests firmly with Christ. To even insinuate that we have that power of condemnation is blasphemous. Yet you still think you are somehow above others because you think your discernment gives you the authority of Christ. It’s important to stay humble and to let Christ decide who is and isn’t Christian. Even if Russel is pretending then he still has the opportunity to turn to Christ. It’s the entire reason Jesus died on the cross my brother. He forgives if we truly feel it in our heart. We cannot know if Russel does or does not truly feel it. I am so glad you brought this up as everything Russel has spoken of is not the true gospel. I believe his is about christ consciousness, and is new age. I don't think he is saved, as he has never talked about his sin or repentance. Jesus has told us, "you will know them by their fruits". It vexes me that where I have looked at his statements all the so called christians are applauding him. 100%!! I’d add though that when the Bible speaks about us judging others, it’s other Christians-other believers and not judging unbelievers. So questioning other believers lives when they stray off course, as we all do, is what we’re SUPPOSED to do, after removing the plank from our eye first. That’s why he tells us to be surrounded by other believers / Christian’s and not be around unbelievers. That’s hard, yes, but a goal we should all have. It’s easy to get pulled astray by those that don’t have our faith. God bless~

First it's a warning against being judgmental of anyone, not just Christians, and that if we are to make a judgement of anyone (i.e: call out a sin) then we ought to have our own affairs in order and be right with the lord. Secondly, not mix with unbelievers? And how else are you to evangelize the Gospel? Christ himself compels us to go to the sinners and make disciples of them. You must have fellowship with them and love them for the brothers and sisters they are in order to do so, and no this does not mean be tolerant of their sin. Did Christ not have fellowship with publicans, harlots, tax collectors, drunkards, the diseased? Brother you better get back to reading scripture lest Mathew 7: 21-23 be your outcome.

Yes we’re supposed to spread the gospel I’m not speaking of that and that’s not what 2 Corinthians 6:14 is about. It’s about being with them all the time. John 7:24 reference judging Christians. Hopefully he is just a babe in Christ still in need of milk, making heretical mistakes, rather than the seed falling on rocking soil which quickly sprouts up, but eventually withers away. Pray he planted Christ in good soil and we see good fruit start to bear, that soil being that we are all filthy rags on our best day and need a savior, not for anything we can do, but for what he has done (the gospel).

I started homeschooling them due to them having many issues in public school, I’m thankful because they have made such progress, but my hours to work are limited. Jesus give me strength I’m constantly struggling to provide for them I’m so ashamed. He announced his conversion by means of getting baptized, that's fairly suspicious. I started my walk with the Lord back in January of this year and started taking the Bible seriously before that even and I don't know if I am ready for baptism myself yet. His reverence for the 12 Step ideology is also concerning. He is on the path, one that he has been on for many years now. But he hasn't actually repented, he has lamented and even at times romanticized his past transgressions but never once outright repented. He's getting there but he isn't there yet.

Same here. I remember being born again out of New Age practices. Everything changed and first things to go were all my new age items...tarot cards, crystals, books, jewelry, decor, even some gnome yard ornaments. Russell has simply added his own version of Christianity to Satan's spiritual buffet called New age. He's still on the hamster wheel. I pray the Holy Spirit illuminates the truth in scripture for him.

I am praying for him. But joining the Catholic Church and getting baptized does NOT make you a born again Christian. RCC is a false church. It's damned to hell. He has had absolutely no true encounter with Christ. Listen to his latest interview with Jordan Peterson. I'm an evangelist and a Ukrainian missionary. I preach to 100,000s of people in America...I know how true born again believers (even if they're BABES in christ talk,) , he didn't even talk about the Cross, him being a sinner deserving a hell and how jesus is Lord and only way to heaven. He was taking in flowery language to Jordan peterson about how great Mother Mary is and how baptism make you enlightened. He's CLOSE to God but he's not there yet. You need to ask God for discernment and actually look at what he's doing and promoting false Christianity before thinking he's DEFINITELY a transformed believer. Still not our place to decide if he is Christian or not. It’s on Russel to foster a personal relationship with Christ. We do not know his heart only Christ does. It’s okay to call out his sin but to condemn him isn’t our place at all. Christians that are quick to condemn others for their sins are hypocrites. We all fall short and we should help those that also fall short. It seems more like some Christians think they are more righteous and above others. Some condemn and never try to guide those that are committing sin. All that serves to do is turn people away from Christ. His divination practice needs to be corrected but to straight up decide he’s not Christian isn’t your place. It makes you come across as someone who believes they are the gatekeepers of faith. You do not know his heart and if his heart has Christ in it then we must pray and Christ will help him shed those sins. Too often I see so called Christians quick to judge other for their sin while also being sinful. It’s okay to call out sin. It is not okay to condemn others when we ourselves are not Christ. We will never be Christ and we will never hold the authority of Christ to condemn others.

Nobody is condemning him to hellfire, so pump the brakes on accusing others of self-righteously condemning him. When Peter perceived that Simon Magus got baptized just so he could by his way into performing the miracles he saw from Phillip, he called the sorcerer out on immediately.

You need to actually watch the interviews where he gives his perspective on his new found "faith". It's a skin deep philosophical idea at best. He's closer than ever before but not there. Even a Baby Christian has at least professed with their mouths aloud the Christ is their Lord and Savior, he hasn't even remotely espoused this.

I was saved out of the new age and didn’t understand the extent of the problems with my old spiritual practices for the first few years. I didn’t understand the nature of Christ, or the reliability of the Bible… or anything, really. I just understood that I decided to trust in Jesus and that I was not the same anymore. Once I saw the truth I let all of my old spiritual practices go like the people in Acts 19:19. It seems like, because I was in such darkness for so long, the Spirit took time to untangle the knots that I was bound by, allowing me to become acclimated to the light. Brand may be a false convert, but it’s possible he just needs grace and time to grow in the knowledge of the truth.

He may not understand what the baptism was all about, but pray that the Lord will use that and bring people into his life that will show him the way. Do you forget what Jesus said to The thief on the cross? All the man said was remember me in your kingdom. And Jesus said to him today you will be with me in Paradise. He didn’t say oh you weren’t baptized. Oh you don’t understand everything about the scriptures. why don’t you contact Russell and say who do you say Jesus is? 🙏😇⭐️

Amen!! I pray the Lord leads him to read your email! Great job. I am praying for him. But joining the Catholic Church and getting baptized does NOT make you a born again Christian. RCC is a false church. It's damned to hell. He has had absolutely no true encounter with Christ. Listen to his latest interview with Jordan Peterson. I'm an evangelist and a Ukrainian missionary. I preach to 100,000s of people in America...I know how true born again believers (even if they're BABES in christ talk,) , he didn't even talk about the Cross, him being a sinner deserving a hell and how jesus is Lord and only way to heaven. He was taking in flowery language to Jordan peterson about how great Mother Mary is and how baptism make you enlightened. He's CLOSE to God but he's not there yet. You need to ask God for discernment and actually look at what he's doing and promoting false Christianity before thinking he's DEFINITELY a transformed believer.
