I’d have to hear about HOW they feel to play and about the quality of the materials (if they’re different at all) to answer the question. Almost any guitar can be made to sound good with some nice pickups and a good amp.

I've owned 2 Mexican Fenders and 1 Japanese one. With that very limited sample size I can say that the one I got had a much nicer feel than the Mexican ones and generally felt like it was made with more attention to detail.

Supposedly made better. Polished frets, more crisp (or tinny depending on your ear) and other things I'm not qualified to notice. Mexican sounds warmer. Fuller, imho. Mexico for rock and blues. (Maybe country if you like its "vibe") Japan for mostly anything else. Im oversimplifing for comments sake, but that's the way it seems. End of the day, its all personal preference. @amoalosretros8258

    フェンダージャパンは高音域の倍音が多くて明るい音。メキシコのほうは上の方が削れた感じの曇った音。個人的にはジャパンが好みかな。

I only ever tried one Fender Japan and one Mexican Fender. The Fender Japan I actually bought because of how good it was while for the Mexican one I wanted to buy it until I played it haha. There is a VERY noticable quality difference (from my experience)

Well.. seems to me that with right pick-up, the Mexico one's sound results a lil' bit more clear. But who knows... maybe choosing other two guitars, from Japan and Mexico, could be even the opposite. And in fact, Telecaster is mostly famous, and appreciated, for the (great) sound of the other one, single coil.

I like Japan, because the quality is superior. I realize it is a relatively small sample, but I've never found a Japanese made I didn't like, never found a Mexican made I did like and US made is 50/50 at best. To be fair, I liked the sound of both of these, but in my hand, experience says I'll prefer the Japan.

I have an Estrada acoustic that’s over 50 years old. IMHO, it’s bias and opinion as to which guitar is better. The heart wants what it wants. Feel is something you can’t show in a video. For me, that’s the deciding factor. Pickups can be replaced easily enough, if it’s the tone at issue
