Introducing my new Tele Pickups with Bare Knuckle - The Nomads
Check Em Out! www.bareknucklepickups.co.uk/...
Nomads: The journey continues.
Rabea Massaad signature Tele set.
“I’ve always loved using Telecaster tones on my recordings. They have an aggressive mid range that just brings that extra bit of gnarliness to heavier guitar tones and they also add wonderful clarity to clean and mid-gain tones.
When designing the Nomads I wanted to create something more controlled and powerful that would cater to my heavier sounds just as much as the ambient and cleaner side of what I do.
The Nomads can get super heavy without any unwanted spikiness, but also respect the original early ‘50s tele tones for all the lower gain chime and spank that I love.
I really couldn’t be happier with these pickups!” Rabea
With an approach to the Telecaster as individual as his playing, Rabea’s Nomads fill a void left by traditional Tele pickups and push forward the boundaries of Tele tones, allowing players to think past the conventional and be inspired to create new music.
Nomads build on the same foundation of Alnico III powered bridge and Alnico V neck coils as the Triptych Strat set to reproduce another dimension in Rabea’s signature range of tones.
The bridge coil is flat magnet profile with a thicker ‘50s style copper-plated steel baseplate and a hot wind of 43 AWG plain enamel wire, designed to deliver a combination of muscular output, plus masses of dynamic headroom. Mids are totally dialled to add the perfect throatiness to complement the depth in the bass and rich attack in the high end.
A special neck coil design allows for superb balance of output with the bridge, whilst delivering both weight behind single notes and a hollow snappy tone, again hand wound with 43 AWG PE.
Signature green and black cloth ‘push back’ hookup is standard and there is a choice of RWRP or stock neck with optional 4 way mod wiring. Rabea’s preference is for a solid nickel silver neck cover, however all neck finish options are available, including custom etches.

Damn Bea has been on a roll these last few months and I've been enjoying it. Good to see your hard work paying off. 👏🏾👏🏾
Man Rabea. I know you super dig the heavy stuff but IMO you were born to do the clean ambient music. I honestly don't think I have ever heard someone consistently make that kind of music better. Also: The tone you had in this video is EXACTLY what's in my head.
The tele is the be all and end all guitar. There is nothing it cant do. Congrats Bea on this new signature pickup set. You earned it over the years btother.
Hope to see you on TPS demoing this set too, those episodes with you are always pure gold.
Congrats Rabea. Wonderful to see all your success and your playing and writing is so inspiring.
No shit, I was literally listening to the strat set demo at work earlier this morning and i was thinking about a signature tele set. Congratulations dude, well deserved, might pick up a set if i get any spare change
I love them! I think these might be my favourite sounding tele pick ups and it came out of no where.
I’m still in the process a few years on (!) of breaking out of my lockdown-driven excess of guitar collecting - now more than ever before I really want a classic Tele. Just awesome, another absolute gem of a set that is insanely versatile and to me, perfect for how/what I play. Massive congrats man
Bea, this is what you do best: relating the technical aspects of the gear to the sound that you're trying to achieve. Keep doing this and I will keep coming back for your perspective. I think these pickups sound amazing and I have a tele that needs some new pickups.
Hum, I think I've found my next Tele pickup for a project. Love so much your sound ! Great job Rabea !
I love the music you make and how it all sounds but it also has really made me happy to see all these pickups you have made with bare knuckle lately. I feel like i never really found the right strat set with the right balance of push and vintage vibe at the same time until you guys came out with your tryptichs and now you have made this set that has that sound that reminds me of my telecaster with the tone on about 6 or 7 where i normally run it but without having to tweak things. it amazes me how similar your tonal preferences are to mine in the single coil realm but its awesome because now I have all these options look at for my own playing and to watch you play on youtube! tldr: these sound awesome, keep making great pickups and great music.
Your guitar playing is so inspiring, I almost cannot finish watching your videos that I need to grab my guitar. Awesome music as always 🤟 I also have a tele and recently swapped the bridge single coil with a DiMarzio Fast Track T. I'm not 100% satisfied with it so I might give theese a try (at least the bridge one) I would have definitely gone for it instead, had it been out in late november last year
Yeah bro, that sounds magic. On the radar.
Love everything you do man! Absolutely amazing set of hands and ears! Now I need to get another tele 🤣
So you now have three signature sets by BKP. Tele, strat and humbuckers. That is pretty epic. Sounds great, like it's customary with you.

Yes! I play teles in a heavy band but haven’t found the right pickups. The things u went for are exactly what i’ve been looking for! Gotta start saving!
These sound great that'll be my next set to try just installed the Twisted Tele set and I'm playing around with them for now. But definitely next on my list. Great video very informative bro
Damn they sound great! Third set now?! Who would have thought, little Bea the skatin’ drummer has tied in with his second guitar company with his own sigs, three bands at the same time plus solo work, a killer sound, and Hannah. Damn Dude. Good job Brother.
tones! I want a tele that sounds exactly like this! So it has to come with a set of nomads and a Rabbea! Sweet playing
They sound beautiful. Love the Tele sound anyway but there's definitely an improvement in terms of having the highs tamed but in no way has the tone been diminished. Tele's are awesome recording guitars. Any picked part on a Tele sounds incredible, to my ears anyway. They just cut through with a beautiful resonant chime. Great job Tim and Rabea 👏🏻
So cool, and sound great
I am going to put these in my chapman ml3 bea standard. I've got plenty of humbuckers but tele is special man ... can't wait to get this set
Very nice. Now I want to get a tele and put some of those in it and go crazy!!!
I'd love to see your take on P90s 💪
flipping awesome!
Just ordered a set. Can’t wait to try em out! It sounds exactly what I’ve been looking for.

That bridge tone around 9min in is MASSIVE
Holy crap…when does the drum channel launch? That was some tight drumming Bea!!!
Man those sound good, hope that opening jam is going on the next Grinding Gears. Love your high gain stuff but could go for more clean/pushed clean noodling songs too. Also curious to see if P90s are in the works and it looks like I'm not alone
Now complete the set! Work on a set of P90s too! Hahaha Congrats on the new signature set! Now I need to get me another Tele just for those Nomads!
It's funny that the headstock of that guitar says Esquire and it was modded to have 2 pickups on it. Sick playing too. I hope to see more videos with that Tele. That middle position sound is heavenly. I do prefer Teles I like the sound of rather than 3 single coils Strats.
I got my first Tele 7 years ago, in my 50´s! Can you imagine! The one thing I do not like about Teles is that ice pick frequency that you get! I swapped the pickups out for some handwound pickups (not Bareknuckles) with a more aggressive tone, higher output and without the ice pick frequencies! The Tele has become my go to guitar! I did consider Bareknuckles but these handwound pickups came along and they were the perfect solution for me BUT, if I havdn´t got these then Bareknuckles were top of my list!
feels like desert dusk, amazing vibes CaliPsych...a.k.a.: Mr Dave
outro with frogleap was epic, this tele sounds jpast pretty, when is the chapman bea coming out would you recomend it
i NEED these for my Tele
wohoo congrats!!! i can sorta understand what you meant about the original pu's that where in that guitar. when i play mine, specially the neck can sometimes sound juuust a bit thin. but on the other hand, i love how it cuts through a mix, specially with some kraken gain. now you can sell your original ones to me for spare ahahah
@jimi272
4 ай бұрын
or yeah not thin but there's a bit top end that bites a tad...
Robea, sounds awesome as always. Now I need to get another tele. You need to send a set to Dan Stienhardt….. Bare Knuckle needs to do a signature set for him to copy red….
I'm hoping I can buy the neck pickup on its own, that thing sounds delicious!
Niiice!!! Just have one question - do these pickups reflect to volume knob? I mean, can I 'clean' the sound with them like on regular Tele (decreasing volume on overdriven single coils help you achieve clean/crunch tone) ?
Would you say these are hotter than what Chapman puts in their ML3 Pro Traditional? These reminded me of your video when you demo'd the ML3.
Do you use a treble bleed on the volume pot with these? Or with the Triptychs?
We need some kind of post-apocalyptic indie game with you writing the score, it would be the most amazing of journeys
are those alder or ash body guitar ? Wicked tone as always
I see different covers for the neck, how they affect the tone if they do so? i’ll put then in a baritone tele, looking forward to hear them in Drop-A tuning!
I’ve been thinking about replacing my Piledrivers with something just a bit less piledrivey. These should be perfect.
So basically a modified Twisted Tele set? The tele set are 52's but with a Strat sounding neck. From the sounds here, I'd say they are close 👍
Conspiracy: T-Style Bea Sig. Sterling by MM with these pickups loaded? Count me in!!!
Heavy music on a Tele. I know he has his signature PRS, but I feel like Myles Kennedy should try this. More desire to spend money I don't have.
which string gauge do you use to be able to tune it to c? thanks
What inspired you to name this set the Nomad, Rabea? I think I asked something similar about previous sets, so forgive me if I’m repeating myself.
What string gauge do you use here for the lower tuning ?
Tele bridge pickups are usually 42 guage wire... interesting to hear how little difference that makes to the sound (or at least to me!)
Inb4 a set of signature P90s and a set of mini humbucker sized Silos.
Pretty curious on how the Silo's & the Triptychs/Nomads would sound together in a HSS styled guitar. Has anyone ever tried it?

Humbucker, strat, tele, when are the Bea-90s coming?
Im only here for the Funk ;) ....and Rage?...hell yeah.
Me: Finally lands in a set of Lindy Fralins for my Tele. Rabea: Hold my beer. Now I am torn all over again lol.
Glen Frickin Fricker would like a word with you 😂😂 Bea could make any guitar and pickup sound like this 😂😂
RATM riff...nice
The Dos Huevos riff at 9:00 is disgusting!🤘
17:31 little Township Rebellion, eh?
The tele easily accepts & adapts to any type of pickup or playing style. Yours are even beefier than Joe Barden dual blades.
Soooo... Music Man "Tele" coming soon?
Didn't know Bea was a Tele guy? Always saw him doing single stuff with the strat
Are these noiseless ?
I wonder how much of your sound is derived from the amp, rather than pickups.
It sounds like p90 at the bridge position
👍👌
It would have been nice to have a guitar sounding in standard tuning.
🤘🤘🤘👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
well, time to buy another tele.

Why don't you compare these pickups to others in one video? This video tells us absolutely nothing about the Nomads, it only shows what sound you can get from your rig.
@RabeaMassaad
4 ай бұрын
It’s a tone demonstration of the sound of the pickups. Not a comparison. If one likes the sound of these pickups in this video, then the purpose of it was successful surely?
@Chris_Nouvelli

Actually watch the video. He literally goes over exactly what’s in the pickup from the 11-minute mark. It doesn’t need a comparison. It’s a demo.

@@RabeaMassaadi can’t resist jumping in here cause I remember a comparison you made for your Strat with the Josephina and the 63 veener and man I’ve been using those 63 ever since. On my tele I have the royal and the special from Lollar and I am not quite sure about them after a year. Would be nice to see the difference. By the way you Archetype plugin is amazing. @@RabeaMassaad How can someone know if they like these pickups in your setup if they haven't heard any others? A guitar with these pickups will sound different on any other equipment. Comparison is the only way to show what a guitar/pickup/amplifier sounds like because it maintains the test conditions. P.S. We both know why you didn't do it ;)
