I ran across your video while researching this scan tool. Nicely presented, none of the ott bs I've seen on so many other YT channels. I've used multiple makes of scantool at work & am looking for something for myself, this tool looks like a good balance. As far as I can work out It doesn't program ECU's but it does extract pin numbers & give the ability to delve deeper into the coding/settings than other tools that cost more. Key programming with the optional add-ons is a plus too. I'm going to give one a go.

I got a D7 just for one car Opel Tigra Twintop/ Corsa C 2005 (Z14XEP Ecotec engine), which a) won't run -- just fires and cuts out, and b) didn't show any codes by pedal test or 50€ reader. Plugged D7 in hoping for some codes, but still apparently there's nothing wrong with the car!! New fuel pump & filter 50psi on fuel rail, new crank and cam sensors, new oil pressure sensor, removed throttle body and cleaned behind butterfly, cleaned maf..., Now am going to buy cable extension to work under bonnet to check for spark, actuating coils. Meanwhile thanks a lot for this video. Loved your delight.

Does yours also shows 4GB of total space instead of the 64GB(59GB formatted) when you connect it to a computer? Not sure why it only shows around 4GB of storage and not more🤔

The two pin European plug is, I believe, the same as a UK shaver socket? I`m old school and still have an adaptor that plugs into a regular UK three pin socket!

They are slightly different, the EU plug pins are wider apart than our shaving plugs.

I purchased the Xtool D8 several months ago, but just started to use it more and found while looking at freeze frame data from a 2013 Nissan Frontier, there are PIDs with data displayed that are named Option 1, Option 2 thru Option 8. Not sure what these PIDs are for so I contacted the Xtool help email and after an exhausting 4 days back and forth they say they are not sure to contact S4 Shop. This is really messed up when the Manufacturer dosent know about their own product. Buyer beware.

If bought today that would include 2025-6 models those don't go away...After which wait till you need an update

I bought last week and still it's only working with Chinese language when try by another language it says the update is not supported this language

I stumbled on this video and I am very pleased...well done. Will this tool work on a vehicle that was built and assembled in Japan for their market? It does not have a United States VIN number.

It supports Subaru as a brand and supports vehicles back to 2004. you might want to drop them an email with your VIN code and they will confirm for sure that your car is supported

Still a great scanner in my opinon

Looking online it looks like this scanner comes with free updates for 2 years. No mention anywhere about what the costs are after that.

It’s 3 years free updates. After that it’s about £150 a year. Very fair when you look at other less capable tools.

Would you recommend this tool or the Foxwell you are giving away?

They both are good, the D8 has a bigger screen, and more options, hence the price

My experience with XTool is zero support from them 😢 I have a PS80 Many translations are wrong and the measurement units are also wrong many times... Also crashed the car software with a Nissan car

XTOOL customer service from Amazon is very high standard, great aftercare, very friendly and respectful, especially, when you need to contact them and are lucky enough to have Andrey to help you, she is 5 star.

I have this tool had it about 4 months now it is very slow takes a long time to get the information you need I have a hard time turning it on it takes several attempts and I'm very frustrated with it it's definitely not working right
