Why? When it opened from the front, both sides could still get at the inside. There's no reason for it to open from both sides.

100k miles is the problem-free lifespan of most brands. 100k miles is a Lexus’s break in period. My 07 ES made it to 340k with a total of 0 issues (with good maintenance) before it got totaled.

100k free it is so common for Honda and Toyota, now the problem is the new 2022 es it is manufactured by American so many ppl tell me it has a lots of small problems

I have watched a few reviews on these Lexus ES 350 and all I’ve heard were positive reviews with minimal to almost none negative thing. To sum up the rest of the reviews so far, this Lexus ES 350 regardless of the trim is a great car. I hope to see one in my garage in the near future.

Just got a 2009 Lexus ES 350 with 82,000 miles as a daily driver car. Navy exterior with beige interior. Also has 2020 Lexus ES 350 f sport rims which make it look better.

Mercedes and other German brands are the kings of leasability. No one buys these cars for long term ownership and trade them in after 5 years for someone else to buy for peanuts. Lexus not only competes in reliability but also in style and other areas but their brand philosophy takes change gradually. Mercedes was good before Lexus hit the market and they've been riding on their rep for decades.

BMW is all plastic under the hood and honestly, if you seriously think that buying an extended warranty on an already expensive car is smart thinking then I can't help you. The Lexus ES is not based on the Camry or Avalon anymore and even if it was the quality of the Lexus ES is leagues above BMW. Think twice. Write once.

If you're careful, up here in the snow, fwd is fine. I'm liking this one! Brightwork isn't overly heavy, so not a big zonk. That interior is nice! Thanks for a great Sunday review, Joe. Lori, another fine video. Thanks for all you do!

Love this car! I have 2015 ES 350 and I could not be happier. It drives well, it’s quiet, and it feels very safe!

Great demonstration Joe! I just picked up my 2022 ES 350 F Sport yesterday. Mine is black with the same red/black interior. I live in South Florida, so I have dark tint….. looks amazing with the black paint and rims!!

I just took possession of this exact same car several days ago. The only difference is mine is white on the outside. Freaking love this car! You have to drive one to understand how buttery smooth it feels driving around. The ride and handling is perfect for me...I am 40 years old and want a comfortable, plush ride with just a little bit of sport handling for everyday driving- this knocks it out of the park! This is not gonna win any speed races with any corvettes, but is more than adequate to have a little fun on your daily commute. The throttle and brakes are super smooth as well. As you can tell my #1 adjective for this car is...SMOOTH!!! BTW, the Mark Levinson sound system is amazing too! Look forward to many years and miles of worry free reliability.

Wow! Thank you for that input. That was very helpful. I have an 07 Infiniti M35x. It has been a wonderful car, and it sounds a lot like the ES: Smooth and comfortable, reliable and long lasting, with just a tad bit of git up and go when you need it. @@chipstroz3846 You have a nice car! I had a 2005 Infiniti Q45 and it was solid and reliable like Lexus. I've owned several Lexus and Infiniti vehicles (GS, ES, RX; QX, Q45) and never had any problems. I recently bought a 2022 ES350 and it is smooth & comfortable with enough power for daily driving.

For some reason the refreshed ES’s outer design keeps reminding me so much about the last gen GS. A great looking car for sure👍

Just wanted to say hi from Guam Joe. I watch youtube a lot and you are one of the best content creators for car reviews. Yes Lexus reliability is amazing just test drove a used 2007 model and it ran like new compared to a 2011 BMW 3 series which had an acceleration delay when stepping on the gas. I can't wait for your "ON THROTTLE OF THE IS 500".

8:15 This would be a great time in the video to show us what the lighting looks like. After you rev the engine, hit the brakes, turn signals, and reverse lights. Then as you come towards the camera a few seconds later, hit the signals again and headlights and brights. People like to know what the lights all look like.

There's something great about a luxury car that is made to be a tad more sporty. All the fun you could want in a daily driver. Lexus cars/SUVs in my mind are always a sure thing. Yes there are more fun cars out there but that blend of luxury, style and dependability is a winning combo.

Love it. Thanks for reviewing this new refreshed model.

Great review and I would love to see a review comparing hybrid to nonhybrid version in terms of handling, power performance, MPG.

The 12" screen and forward position is great. The black and red interior looks awesome. I would trade the old clock with a larger display area and get rid of the CD play for more open space underneath the control buttons panel. You never talk about the windshield and the sensors on it. Still drive the 2017 model and it's still run like the first day I drove it off the dealership. One additional big plus about Lexus is their services and their waiting rooms come with first class customer comfort with free coffee, drinks and massage chair and life time car wash.

The most professional describer of any cars, keep up the good work brother....

I’m loving this I love the wheels I love the black finishes on the headlights and grill but I’m hating fact that it’s not all wheel drive

Also disappointing that there is a mix of black chrome and shiny chrome. It looks odd. IMO, they could have made it sportier, since it is an F Sport.

Great review… wife owns a 2019 white (black interior), es350 f-sport. Wrapped the chrome window trim and roof in gloss black. Took out the wheel gap with RS-R lowering springs… nice stance now. She loves it!

The GS was perfect, still sporty like an Is but much nicer interior

This is amazing piece of machinery with every aspects. This is not a sport sedan and never was meant to be build like that, it has perfect combination with more than enough power and excellent ride quality for everyday driving!!!

My mom is going to order one this week, though not an F Sport. I’m binging all 2022 ES content as a result. We’ve been thinking she needed a new car due to a few reasons so she’s selling a 2012 Volvo XC70 that’s been nothing but solid for her. She did sit in an F Sport and immediately identified being uncomfortable with the highly bolstered seats. I think the car she’ll get is going to be a great car for her and it’ll be her first Lexus. After a string of Volvos and BMWs through the years since 1982, and to varying degrees of satisfaction, I’m hopeful that the entire experience of owning this car is a highly pleasant one. Thanks for the review, Joe. You cracked me up with the Warrant reference. You bring me back, man!

It's a PIA to use the FOB, as you need to see it to know it works. I use the App on for our RX450h; still not as easy as hitting the button on our Jeep GC which gives a confirming honk when started that I can hear in the back of the house getting my coffee.

This is the car I’m gonna get when I go home from the airforce for vacation next year I just love the design of it Lexus does a great job in everything

In the middle of the body is bright chrome, on the front and the rear side is dark chrome. That is really nice.

Just bought a 2022 ES350. Nicest car (by far) I've ever had. In fact, I'm a little bit intimidated by it at this very early juncture. I just never imagined that a car could be so nice as this.

I just bought one! I’m picking it up tomorrow! So excited!

Just got this car and am loving it. It makes everyday driving a blast. I am continually surprised by the smooth 6 cylinder in sport mode. The interior lacks for nothing in terms of comfort. My only zing is that it lacks a 360 view camera.

Good review as always. Beautiful reliable smooth as butter luxury car I prefer the non F sport trims cause this is a luxury cruiser not a sports sedan.

FYI.. There is remote start on the key fob. If you are signed up for the service you press lock three times. One, two, then hold on the third press.

I love my 2013 Lexus ES350. Probably the smoothest and most comfortable car I’ve ever driven. Not sporty but comfortable.

Always such a great job J&L! I've recently become interested in Lexus for the first time. Fit and fin and reliability are of great importance to me. Was very excited when I saw this video come up on only to have all the air leave the balloon when you mentioned the HP and 0-60. Not everything but 6+ second to 60 in 2022 is unacceptable. That said, amazing video and on to the next F sport!

The key actually does have remote start. You press the lock button 3 times and hold it on the 3rd click.

Have the 2020 mode. Love the car. It has a smooth & fast acceleration. After a 14hrs road trip, I was ready to drive another 10hrs... haha... Highly recommend this vehicle.

Sold my porche carrea,1990, five, four wheel drive, horrific in traffic, almost twice what I paid, 200,000 miles, great car, but my new Lexus is so sweet to drive, old Nana will definitely drive this car until I am 90‼️

I've owned two brand new Lexus ES 300H cars; a 2017 and 2018. 242,000 and 142,000 miles respectively. Ultra reliable, no issues whatsoever. I did change the transmission oil every 50,000 miles. Lexus is known to be conservative in their disclosed 0-60 time. Real time is several milliseconds quicker. The Hybrid is super fast off the line due to the electric motor. This time however, I'm going with a white on white ES 350 F-Sport! Can't wait to own this car! Thank you for the review! The overall refresh in this 2022 model- especially to the cockpit technology, is worth buying versus the 2019 model.

Always a quality vehicle at a fair price. I know purists will argue that it's not a true luxury/sports car with out rear wheel drive. This car is sharp, well-finished, quiet and dependable and as a result enjoys strong resale value, this is not the case for most of its competition. A nice mid-cycle refresh 👍🏽

I have the same in a 2021 and everything seems to be the same except that I don't have the touchscreen nor the Sport Plus mode (which I thought was standard on the F-Sport and didn't realize it until I signed the papers). My only criticism is that it really should be AWD. Way too much torque steer and the door panels seem flimsy. I love my seats, thought they aren't real leather, and the Mark Levinson is banging! My blue and black with white interior is a head turner. Looks like US-19 to me.., saying hello from Iowa.

You have remote start.. press lock lock lock and hold and when the lights start flashing stop holding it and it will start.

here is a bit of feedback. try to test the tech of these cars. how well is the adaptive cruise control, how well the is the lane keep assist. it would also help to put things in perspective for certain things like cebine noise. when you say quite, how quite? quiter than audi?

I’m going to have a hard time choosing between the new IS 350 F Sport and this ES. Really wish this had AWD, but it’s not a deal breaker for me.

@@rosendorendonjr ES 250 has a 4 cylinder engine with turbo and it has AWD as opposed to ES 350 which its base model is a 6 cylinder engine and does not have the AWD option. ES 350 is very quiet and more fuel efficient than the ES 250.

@@rosendorendonjr Most reviewers who've driven both dismiss the ES 250 despite its AWD because its 4-cylinder Camry engine is loud, coarse and slow compared to the ES 350's V6, and cheapens the character of the car.

Remote start on the keyfob? I just found out my 2015 IS250, you can remote start it by pressing the lock button 3 times and on the 3rd time hold it for 3 seconds and let it go
