I had a 2019 mustang gt 6 speed manual (MT82) transmission. I never had an issue with mine. I also perform spirited driving every now and again. I now drive a Camaro SS With a manual tremec 6060 transmission, One difference that I've noticed is the tremec goes into gear much faster than the mt82 transmission.
I had a 2014 MUSTANG gt 6 speed, never had a problem. Just had to be careful not to jam the gears because of the forks are easy to break. Lol I have a 2019, now still no complaints. I heard the tremic like the gt350 or the challengers 6speed, has the tremic and it is a great transmission..

I respect your honesty I’m not sure why Ford wouldn’t just put a different transmission in the Mustang. Ford should use a T56 variant or a Tremec and their customers would be very happy
I’ve only been locked out from second, I also drive an 18 Mustang GT. This was before I swapped out the clutch an went with a trans mounted shifter. Not long after once I got use to these upgrades I almost never lockout of second.

Which brand shifter and clutch?
Do the 2020s still have the same issues? Idk if I should do the 6 speed or the A10

I think mine is going bad. Does the waranty cover it?
Is there no way to bulletproof them?
It’s not the best but I think the stock clutch is what’s the downfall of the mt82

@@WildlifeWhisperFacts It depends on your budget. If you can afford a T6 it would be superior in every way but I would also upgrade the clutch. If not a McLeod RST will be night and day compared to the stock clutch. All depends what you want to spend.
I absolutely hate the dual mass flywheel, it has no place behind a high performance v8.
I think the MT82 is designed by getrag, but being built in China, the metallurgy just isn't there in China.
my boy just got locked out of 1st, 2nd and 5th.
If you jack yours up I have one from 2018 with 7200 miles on it. It’s for sale.

Im thinking about doing this. So no issues? I would hate to get, then turnaround and have to reinstall the stock shifter to get warranty work done 🤣

@@lilgreg212 no issues at all it’s a direct mount to the transmission just make sure the person installing it knows what they’re doing.

@@lilgreg212 I was hesitant to buy the MGW shifter but I ended up pulling the plug and I am in love with the shifter (MGW short throw race shifter)
