If mkbhd had chosen different materials, I could see them looking pretty decent. Something like a geobasket to a chuck taylor type thing going. I believe he had comfort and utility in mind so I get why those materials were chosen but unfortunately it just makes the shoes look like something you’d find in Walmart. The ones strung up on plastic hangers with no box kind 😅

My retail store sells "vegan leather" (plastic) shoes for $30. There's no reason these should cost $180. $80 and they would be a good deal. It's all hype and "limited status" bullshit.

You can get a pair of Timberlands Pros for $30 less that are made with significantly better materials and will last many years longer.

I have my pair in hand too. They're great if you want something more subtle and comfortable, although definitely not worth the premium price. If the price was $120, these would be well worth it.

Like ask your mom as a kid plleeeeease get me Jordan 1's and your mom is like you're only getting those if you get a job and she's like here take these, you then take the walk of shame to school.

As someone who's not a sneakerhead who still appreciates good looking shoes, these are far far off what even I would consider acceptable footwear, looks very cheap, all while base or bottom looks awful and will get scuffed and marked up a lot, sides are so plain too, the red around the heel area is so flat and the 251 text looks like it's just been printed there in the most generic font. People in the comments saying that it should be $150 instead but honestly I wouldn't pay more than $100 for these. The reason why they're sold out is because of his popularity in tech, not because he's made a good sneaker.

These aren't bad. It has very clean line, and sturdy silhouette. Looks like a quality product. But I'd be damned if I would spend almost $200 for these. These are $120 tops.

I seen those at Dollar Tree.

they're pretty basic, I actually think they would spark more interest if they were a low top. The high top makes it way too similar to a jordan 1 high silhouette. The price, considering the materials, should be much lower. $150 max honestly which is still pretty high. You just can't be charging the same price as a jordan 1 high that has all leather materials, history, and iconic branding. MKBHD has a good following to create something that can be hyped up, but these are a little disappointing attempt to jump on the sneaker mainstream.

I own a pair. All the pros here i agree with. While not the most comfortable shoe out there (especially in this price bracket) it definitely is more comfortable than i thought. Colorway leaves a bit to be desired (even tho i do love red and black) but its mkbhd, its either this or all black so this is much better. The hardest thing is price. From a manufacturer pov, it’s understandable that it wouldnt be as cheap since its a new design and is a risk. But from a consumer point, i like it but not $180 like it. Maybe with time this can drop in price since manufacturing gets cheaper in larger batches/over more time. But realistically a $100/$120 shoe. Nothing about its materials or fit or comfort screams worth 200.

I think the materials on this make the shoe look cheap… the styling is cool, but the mesh and synthetic leather just turn me off. If the price was around $100 then I might consider. But $189 is pretty steep for what I feel is a mediocre shoe that has a big KZread following behind it. Love MKBHD, but don’t love the shoe especially at that price. Great review though, as always!

Everyone that reviews these shoes is just too afraid to tell the truth. I like MKBHD but come on. If these didn't have his name attached to them everyone would be clowning them.

The nerve to charge people $180 for these K-Mart specials is outrages, Michael Jordan the best basketball Player to ever step on the court His Shoe is $180 for the Jordan 1 High, which is one of the best sneakers ever created…think about that, slimy cash grab🤮

I watch MKBHD, but hard no on almost $200 for a pair of these. They remind me of ProWings from Payless Shoe Source. These are the styles that are intended to be knockoffs, but have no logo, and are changed ever so slightly.

Your design and materials from your collab shoes are better compared to the synthetic materials and was expecting a tech driven mass accessible shoe considering the price

I like the shoe, but it does look like a cheap knock off shoe on the surface with no logo/branding. I like minimal designs, but he coulda slapped his logo in a lighter/darker shade to add some depth. And the price seems steep. Not sure about the quality of materials used, bit $190 is a lot of money for these imo. I'll also say in regards to the price, if they were slip resistant, water resistant/proof id definitely but them, he wants those who own them to actually wear them and not keep them clean, id 1000% daily these if that was the case.

I have a pair….they’re so fkn comfortable! It’s insane how comfy the sole is.

i like the shoes but the white outsole is quite thick for me and I dont fancy it. overall it's a nice looking shoe.

The most interesting part of the shoe is the back view, apart from that it honestly looks like regular shoes. I haven't tried it yet but I am sure it would also feel great. I am not sure the people who like buying popular shoes will buy it. 😬

Some things I do like and some I don’t like about these shoes… cons are not a fan of the shoe size tag sticks out like a sor thumb, price is too high for the material and I don’t think the nyc tag is nessecary. A lowcut version of that shoe would be more nicer and more comfortable having all those padding features and comfy insoles.

I Can afford 1 pair of these but, my main issue is that I am a white shoe guy, black shoes just don’t look good on me except for the old school vans silhouette. I hope MKB releases a pair that have a white/blue or even white/red id definitely buy but they have to be matte white 😂

I already owned 3 pairs of Atoms so being an mkbhd viewer, this was a no brainer. They were delivered a few days ago and they look great!

They're the definition of $120 shoes that are a bit too high in price.

Let's be honest. People who love these sneakers are die-hard fans of MKBHD. These just look objectively bad.

Function over funshion

I like Marques, but as a technology guy. Not exactly cramming to get his shoes although I respect it especially the story behind it and as his own.

Honestly this reminds me of a Walmart shoe and for $189 I don’t think it’s worth it. They look very cheap due to the vegan materials. I also think the marketing for it wasn’t the best, first of all I hadn’t even heard of the brand atoms until the mkbhd collab and there was no build up or hype for it nobody even knew it was a thing until he made a video about it. I think if the price point was around the $100 I would consider buying a pair just to support him, but let’s be real these look and probably feel like a $20 pair of Walmart shoes, there’s a lot of higher quality sneakers out there for $189. Congrats to MKBHD for getting a sneaker collab that’s a big accomplishment but I wouldn’t even recommend these to an average person that’s not a sneakerhead there’s just so many better options out there.

Why have I never heard of Atoms before??

Okay its mainly of review about the cosmetics of the shoe, Im not sure I heard him say anything about comfort. A shoe is not all about the cosmetics of a shoe. Would you wear a shoe that cosmetically looks great but you suffer wearing it?…can you speak to the comfort instead of only the color, laces, tags etc?

They don't have to make as much profit off the shoe as they are right now.... You can get a longer lasting shoe for 1/4th the price. They either need to lower the price to $100 or significantly higher the quality of materials.

Where do you get your joggers?

good try for a first shoe the pros are short and fixing the cons would make these so much better 1.redo the design completely, look like walmart shoes 2. branding, they look like cheap off brands 3. materials, 190 for synthetic leather and mesh is not even close to a good price 4. price, 190 is simply too much for a startup when i can just buy some new jordans for that price 5. put the size tag back in the shoe

Next time when seth fowler launch a phone MKBHD will the first one to review

I have them. Had to support a creator I like. I was so surprised by how comfortable they are.

Nice to hear! Maybe its okay to have Jordan 1s for people who just want to feel good.

For all those who assume jordans are not that comfortable, I agree. But. Try their jordan zoom cmft series they are hell lot comfortable than any other jordan by far and only costs $150 and look wayyy better than these shoe (if you want some pop). No disrespect to mkbhd here just facts.

Is it rain waterproof?

I love mkbhd but these shoes look like something you would see at Ross in a size 16 for $20. I feel like he should went. With more leather and less red even tho that is his channel theme
