I had an old Geeetech Prusa I3 proW that was fully Frankenstein'd and when it died (again) I opted for the Ender3 S1 Pro. Even though the bed size is 8cm smaller I don't miss it. Very happy with the choice, wood, clear and standard PLA printing with no problems out of the box. Yours was one of the reviews I looked at before buying, thanks.

Hey, it's me and I brought a CR10 SE recently and I also own an Ender 3 S1 pro, and in my opinion CR10 SE is like an upgraded version of Ender 3 S1 pro with a more capable firmware "Klipper", which gives CR10 SE the capability to go at 600mm/s lightning speed and still maintaining descent print quality, which is somehow mind blowing for a bed slinger, also with some hardware upgrades for running at high speeds. That sounds too good in paper but in reality, for achieving such high speeds without compromising with the print quality, we need more complex and capable algorithms (like which Klipper uses, input shaping, pressure advance, z-offset ,etc) which is totally fine but with more complexity comes more challenges which is a matter of concern especially for beginners, also in my experience with both of these printers I have suffered a lot with my CR10 SE (especially in terms of print quality) as compared to my Ender 3 S1 pro, which prints slowly and uses marlin but offers me much higher print quality, sometimes input shaping doesn't works correctly and my print shows ghosting or ringing which is quiet annoying, especially if you want that print for some decoration or simply if you want it as you sliced, and in that case your precious filament which costs many dollars get simply wasted, and yeah if you guessed it why, then you are right, "because of speed" which Klipper provides and not merlin, I know speed is also important but in my opinion not as important as print quality, and if you agree with this, please help us by contributing some more content related to this topic on, "how to gain better print quality even at high speeds", also thanks to it's open source nature that we can tune it's algorithms as per our needs. As Klipper is becoming mainstream and more and more people were getting into this, our effort towards it provides significant value to our community and helps our "makers of tomorrow", contributing towards better. #Z_Made

9:03 Couldn't agree more... I'm actually doing some final research on what I should upgrade my V2 Neo to, and I think the S1 Pro is what I'm getting in a few days when I get paid. I could save a few paychecks for a Bambu Labs, but to me the community support and open source nature of Ender's is what seals the deal for me. I started using Linux in 1996 so I'm not afraid of putting in some proverbial elbow grease to get something running the way I want it to.

Hey man, its really nice for you to share your experience using Ender-3 S1 Pro with us. I believe, Our World is a Shared Experience. Now the bit I want to ask you a favour. I having serious issues printing with my E-3 S1 Pro. First one came, which I had to send it back to Creality so they swap me my present printer. It started Ok, then back to square one. As myself being disabled, I keep finding hard to use the Stock screen that comes with it, so I also bought the Sonic Pad from Creality. After a few hiccups, I managed to make it work. Then all back to square one (x2) again. My models becoming out of shape, coming off even I use Glue Sticks as a precaution. So, I went through every single checks, tighten up all the screws (I found some came loose), reset to factory setting, but cannot win. I Levelled/Re-Levelled the Bed, but when it comes to set up the Probe the Extruder get stuck to the bed and keep pushing down as well as loud noise. I hope I managed to explain my problem, so I will be extremely obliged if you could advice me to resolve this issue. Remember, *_Life_* is *_Short_* , so *_Live Long_* and *_Prosper_* ...🖖… Have a good Christmas and a very Happy New Year'2024. Take care matey!!!

I would say the resonance setup is necessary if you want to go fast with the S1 Pro. it will surprise you. No doubt cooling can be improved but as it is it still does very well.

The max neo was my first printer and honestly, it was easy to set up and print. However, looking to get the S1 Pro on black friday when its cheaper, but I have heard good things about Bambu Lab P1P 3D Printer, do you think this would be a good begginer printer. I want to buy a printer that will last for few years, where I don't want to upgrade for atleast 4 or 5 years. Thanks

Ender 3 s1 pro is adequate if you don't use the auto bed leveler. I couldn't get consistent prints until I stopped using it and just did it manually and now I'm ok. That said I can't stand how slow these printers are and the new fast printers are too loud. I'm hoping they figure out fast and *more* quiet so I can grab one.

Thanks for the information. Just picked up an open box Ender 3 S1 Pro at Microcenter for $179. I was worried cause it said missing parts... The guy at the checkout who happened to know about printers opened it up to make sure everything was there. He seemed confident and I was content. I got home and put the thing together in like 25 minutes. The only thing that was missing were 2 extra unneeded screws. I've managed to level the bed and it all seems to work just fine. I blew it and didn't get any filament so Ill grab some tomorrow to test it. The "spool" that was included just looks like its gonna tangle up into a mess so I'm not going to bother with it. Im gonna have to get that sonic pad as well. I came from resin printing so this is my first filament printer. Are there any other must have upgrades to improve speed/quality?

  • @z-made

    @z-made

    Жыл бұрын

Hey there TheMugwump1! thanks for the comment, truth be told the number 1 best upgrade you can get for the Ender 3 s1 pro in my opinion is klipper, and the sonic pad specifically, aside from that it depends on what you want to print, but the s1 pro is pretty dect out in terms of upgrades, aside from the sonic pad i would only suggest you pick up a hardened steel nozzle, and you will be good to go with almost anything you might want to print, if you want to print some more demanding filaments you might want to pick up and encloser for the printer, to reduce external influence on the part and maybe a filament dryer but these are far from essential, the s1 pro sets you up very well for a first fdm printer, good luck with your new printer, and let me know what you decide to pick up😊

I bought the S1 Pro a few months ago (first printer) with the SonicPad and I gotta say - I had about enough. I've tried several different ways of ensuring the tramming is perfect and cannot change. Right now I literally just have solid spacers, nuts and washers yet it still loses tramming here and there. So I can only imagine that the printbed is warping / moving / changing. Another issue is Z Offset - I don't know if this is a bug in the Sonic Pad or printer. I had now three (two PEI sheets and one glass bed) destroyed as for no reason whatsoever during a print the nozzle decided to massively accelerate and punches down into the bed. After having two destroyed PEI sheets due to that I also bought a Diamondback nozzle (unrelated to the issues) and it experienced yet again the bug where it rammed into the bed. Naturally the diamond nozzle punched through the glass destroying the bed. Maybe I have a lemon or something but I just put an order through for the Prusa mk4 ... hopefully this is working better. If not I may just give up 3d printing. What is interesting is the fact it looks like 9:18 your nozzel also had a close encounter with that build plate (mine was far worse though) :)

would all your views in this vid also apply to the ender 3 s1 none pro. as i have this model in a box after a house move, and was thinking to upgrade rather than unpacking it. i could still happily use the s1 as an above novice user, so don't mind waiting to see what comes out in the near future, but looking at what's available now it has given me the itch to start printing again. LOL

Hey l.l.coolray , that's a great question, the ender 3 s1 not Pro is a very similar printer to the s1 Pro minus a few upgrades but is still a solid choice, The question here basically boils down to budget in my opinion, if you're going to be happy upgrading to klipper and getting solid prints out at 100-150 mm and do not want to pay all that extra money, stick with the ender s1, but your willing to pay 600$ for aP1P and get all the speed and other upgrades offered with those printers, let me know what you decide, I made another video on klipper vs marlin if you're interested by the way

@@z-made I will make a point of watching that. As of what to do, I will wait a bit longer, maybe until after Christmas. That way anything amazing will be available, and if not they will be some good deals about. Until then the s1 will be out and I can brush up on my skills. Thx for the reply👍😎🇬🇧

Getting ready to pull the trigger on my 5th printer which is going to be the s1pro. I started off immediately with the S1 Plus.,And it is by far an amazing machine. I loveed it so much I bought a second one. And dubbed them Lilith and Brigid completely two different personalities. Brigid, I bought direct from creality out-of-the-box kicking ass. Lilith I bought third party vendor and took two months to work The Kinks out of, but with some patients and some TLC they are both kicking ass and taking names. In 3 days I anticipate having a halot mage delivered. Being an independent artist/sculptor and designer creality and their products have become an integral part of my craft. This has catapulted me and my business to an unforeseen whole new level. Isaac BlueWolf Art Sprite extruder It is an absolute Beast. And the first two times I had to break one down, it was a nightmare. Beginner Growing Pains I have it down to a science if the need arises. I figured out how to break free a jam without breaking down the extruder. Once the machine itself is tuned ,you can tune your slicer, I'm now returning my slicer and tuning the machines input functions, gaining speed, and still keeping quality cutting print time almost in half without clipper. I love your video. Good insight

It would be good if you could inform your viewers that this printer does not recognise folders on the SD card, I finally got Creality to admit today that this is correct. their reply is below: If you put the folder in the memory card, the display will not recognize it, please do not put the folder into the memory card, and the print file should be placed in the root directory of the memory card. If placed in a folder, it may be misrecognized (Their spelling not mine). So there you have it, they screwed up the software, which is effectively a downgrade on this machine!

Done everything with it, wasted rolls of filament "calibrating" and the amount of successful prints it had in its whole lifetime was surpassed by my Bambu X1C in a span of just 1 day of use! Insane how much screwed people can get when they purchase these el cheapo bedslingers.

It seems like you've got a lot of good information to share, but after listening to a 3 or 4 of your videos (I listen to videos without watching while at work), it's really difficult to listen to you because your cadence of speech from your edits sounds really unnatural. I think you'd benefit from re-shooting some clips so that each complete sentence is in one take, and adding a brief half to one second pause between spliced edits

You waste money if you buy this printer. Mark my words. Official Creality Firmware Update crashes printer on Auto bed level, pre heat bed, and attempting to print from sd card. STAY AWAY from this printer. Be warned. Protect yourself, don't buy garbage. Most people want a complete package, as far as I'm aware. Why would someone buy something just to have to "put more work into it" just to get the damn thing to work properly out of the box? Ridiculous nonsense and I won't stand for it.
