    Love the "out of the box" experience is improved. Would also encourage (if they haven't already) to have companies to create (or have content creators create for a company) good maintenance/tuning videos. That way there is great foundation of educating, if that needs to be addressed. That's what we strive for. The best experience and the best prints.

    My V3 KE arrived today and it was printing TPU perfectly right out of the box. It's such a step up from my 3 year old Ender 3 Max that needed quite a few mods to print TPU. Prints that would take all day now just take 3 or 4 hours. I couldn't be happier with it. Since I'm disabled, all of the quality of life additions like auto bed levelling and remote start and monitoring are game-changing for me. My back and shoulders are so grateful that I'm not having to contort myself into the back of the enclosure to adjust the rear bed levelling screws any more - especially when I'm using an 85C bed for PETG!

    I'm a complete noob when it comes to 3D printing, for quite a while I didn't see a lot of point in having one, but not so long ago it dawned on me how beneficial one could be to me. I have a car that is a classic in age but not so old that it doesn't have a lot of plastic trim and such. Because it's getting older some of the plastic components are becoming more and more brittle and are impossible to replace, hence my new found interest in 3D printing :) I've been looking at and reviewing a good number of entry level 3D printers for a quite a few months now and was on the cusp of buying one only to find it was discontinued and also I read online through other review articles, and KZread videos, that 2024 would bring new things. And it looks as if it has :) This printer is now looking very much like it will be the go to printer for my needs, previously it was the Sovol SV07. I'm not sure there's a whole lot of difference between them, I'll have to do a comparison. The Creality might take the prize though :)

  • @LoyalMoses

    @LoyalMoses

    6 ай бұрын

    300mm/s is super common, in-fact a couple of my prints over the past month or so have been at 300mm/s - everything has changed in the last 12 to 18 months - extruders are moving more material, heat creep is becoming less of an issue as heater efficiency is increasing. Even high-speed filaments are having an impact as they melt and cool quicker and more evenly.

    Did your printer have solid bed? I think there are printers with loose Y bearings (could be undersized rods) leading to the bed rotating moving up and down at speed -> ruins print quality. Z frame mounting to plastic base with heat inserts from top does not feel very forgiving for tightening the bolts or long time endurance. But this printer still feels like value for money :)

    I agree that the setup out of the box is great for most prints, but even a very small amount of error can ruin the functionality of mechanical parts with tight tolerances, such as bushings, and small gears 0.1mm can be the difference between a part that spins perfectly, or one that ceases up every half rotation

    I'm trying to pause a print with the ender3 v3 KE just like you did. It's does not seems to work either with the touch pad or by placing the PAUSE command in the gcode. Either way the printer head retract itself, drop the filament temperature to 140 and then resume printing right away. Since the temperature does not go back to 220, the print fail with a 2111 error message. I'm on the lastest firmware : V1.1.0.13.

    Makes me wonder why the Ender 3 S1 was $400. Bambu gave a real kick in the butt to these companies who had become complacent and lacked innovation while milking us with cosmetic levels of upgrades.... now in 2024, everyone has or will have 500mm/s bed slingers lol

    I'm thinking of buying this printer as my second machine. You stated that this KE is compatible with all slicers, but I've been reading a lot of Reddit posts about people having issues getting or creating profiles for this printer in Cura or Prusa Slicer. If I wanted to use Cura after purchasing this, could you point me in the direction to set it up properly?
