Base model , no extras is $37k right now. $7500 tax credit and $2k back in CA also, as well as the CA HOV lane. With sales tax and fees, should be out the door for about $34k. Not to mention not spending the $ on gas or service.

I want the Model Y but decided since this car is primarily going to be a commuter car and we already have an SUV I couldn’t justify paying so much more $200 more on a lease on the Model Y vs the Model 3 RWD. So…..scheduled pick up for my RWD Model 3 is this Saturday! So excited!

Just picked mine up and I am loving it! Wish I could have gotten the AWD version but the base model is worth it❤

I tested this originally but bought the long range model 3 (acceleration boost) and I can still say this car moves quick. You have to bring it up past 25 mph for that Tesla torque to kick in though.

just got mine almost a week ago and oof it’s beautiful. It’s super modifiable too so if some don’t enjoy the minimalism, they can add a HUD display, backseat center console screen similar to higher end teslas, and much more.

That is correct. I added a mini cooper style Hud in mine and I love it. Its easy to install as well.

Performance is the most fun.

I have this car, 2023 version and most people do not need awd. The traction control system is so good on this car that In bad weather the handling is excellent. This car is also so well equipped from base model you don’t feel like you’re missing out.

If you do Uber full time this is a must.

@@ddm62571 nope my dad has been Ubering for over 5 years with his 2016 model s still runs amazing and battery replacements don't have to happen for over 20 years on a good model but with oil changes and gassing up and other maintenance to a gas car you would be spending more then 15k in over 20 years 😂

I owned the model 3 performance but drove my buddies standard rwd on the race track and was amazed how great it felt. I even have a video catching a c6 zo6 with it

​@@knpstrrthe $7500 tax credit is only for new vehicles purchased + its Non Refundable, meaning it can only reduce your tax liability. You don't receive anything back as you would with a refundable tax credit.

​@@knpstrrassuming you get a refund, you could but it's not like a down payment that would reduce your monthly payments and interest. You'll still have the same loan terms and a good portion of that would just be going towards interest. Regardless, something is still definitely better than nothing

I heard that the full premium audio is no joke fantastic and there is a noticeable difference. But I think the partial premium is still good, it’s definitely not bad.

Dont charge your teslas above 80% , this will damage your battery sooner. Unless youre going on long road trips, tesla does not advise to charge up to a 100% regularly.

@@tristanheeter7952 youre refering to nickle cobalt batteries of years past. Their new LFP chemistry has been cycle tested to 4,000 cycles and beyond and can regularly last over 1,000,000 miles in the car with only mild degredation. Will drop to about 85% original capacity over that 1M miles.

If I can afford $43K Model 3, might purchase Model Y for bigger room and space as well

Just got my model 3 a couple days ago and i absolutely love it. Does Tesla own me and my bank account for the next year? Yes! But, YOLO. It’s worth it and I absolutely enjoy every second of driving it.

What about road noise, quality? Also EVs are more expensive to insure than ice cars!

I would not waste my money on the model 3 or Y, they are significantly cheaper feeling than the S or X. Feels like a plastic Honda civic for 50-60k. Just get a slightly used S or X if you want a Tesla.

2021 M3LR owner here. Autopilot has been a terrible experience for me on freeways, and even the cruise control is a friggin joke on the highway that I commute on every day. I think it has to do with the reliance on Tesla vision, but regardless, it has been an absolute joke. Hell, even the ride quality is disappointing (albeit im on the 19inch wheels). Im definitely buying a Lexus 300H when my lease ends.

That’s strange. I use auto pilot continuously and really rely on it. I find it much much safer to use. I’m not using full self driving either.

Until EV’s can be fully charged in under 7-10 min, I won’t ever consider getting one.

It's January 2024. I just bought a used 2020 SR+ w/50k miles for $20,000. After the used ev tax credit, that makes it $16,000.

I just got a 2021 Tesla Model 3 Plus from Tesla that came with Enhanced autopilot, white/black partial premium interior, front & rear heated seats, 19 in sport wheels, and 9,800 miles for $27K. Solid warranty as well.

The AWD versions are a lot better.

Miata has a 5.9 0-60. If there were only incentives for miata it wouldn’t be a question miata would be the only answer

Reason why there dropping in price is because they got a lot of competitors coming in 2024 so there making them affordable.

There are no good reasons to buy a Tesla now. Unless you think that the extra tax credit today is going to be worth more than the cost reduction next year. Of course the future even looks better still with V4 charging. That's going to mean like 10 minute battery charging. There are two V4 chargers now, one in France and one in Norway. So if you can wait a few years it might be worth it. But there are cost and benefits for buying a Tesla. Teslss are fun to drive, but there are several states where there are no repair centers. They are extremely expensive to repair if they break down. Read consumer reports on the quality control. If they break down into warranty you still have to pay for a tow anything more than 50 miles. Also battery packs are 20K. There are also little things. Like paying $20 a month to get live traffic in the navigation system. Or the glass ceiling letting in a lot of light and of course heat. The difficulty in using an iPad to drive your car. The relatively cheap interior for a car priced at over 40,000. The high insurance. And then there's a question of long trips. It's often the case that superchargers cost of the same as gas in some states. So if you drive long trips it may not be worth it. Also, if you live in very cold winters your range is reduced. Consumer reports also did a study and found that Tesla's range is reduced far more than other cars.

Model y performance is where it’s at

Prius is 0-60 to 6.6 44 miles electric only 600 mile hybrid range plug in at home. looks way better $32000 to $40000 fully loaded. no fed tax credits thigh. rated best in quality reliability and resale. no range anxiety at all. a hatchback. 6 usbc a realinstrument panel real AC knobs and buttons

@@lupe2947 in my area they were at msrp. However they force you to buy $800 in worthless paint fabric etc protection etc and up to a $400 dealer fee so about a thousand markup in reality. But you can get MSRP near the end i3f the month. Cuts by Tesla and customer generally refusing to pay extra and other hybrid competition from honda the Koreans and soon the hybrid civic hatch means customers can and will say no to markups and just keep their old cars. And used d at giants like car max vana are also lowering their prices.

Why buy anything with less then 500 mile range depending on government welfare credits and fear and ban methods to get you to buy. No resale value extreme battery replacement cost new OEM that is. Pollutes more then gas cars for the first few years because of mining etc then me as until you replace them battery again. Prius is often voted the most reliable car in the world tesla not so much you have to get a contract service there not a true trained dealer.service. And dint get body damaged instantly scraped because of the batteries. Brakes do last longer no oil but tires wear out because of the weight.a good quality cvt is better than 1 speed all the torque all the time transmission. That's changing though as multi speed transmissions will increase efficiency on evs just like cars soon. Both are tops in their segments. If you have no way to charge it home or just dont want the added installation cost and hassle get a prius small commute get a prius plugin cheaper to run then a model 3. Have a garage installed a fast charger added solar panels or not too far from superchargers not much winter cold driving get a discontinued model 3. No instrument gauges they put it in the back seats area instead where it should be for safety cold feeling heat virtually no knobs and switches for no look safety. Frunk is nice but with no hatch try a 65" TV next time. Really both are great and best in their category. Take care🤔🙂😉😊

Yikes! There are still dimwits that believe there’s no “mining” involved in traditional, non electric cars? What kind of special blinders must you wear to not see drilling, pumping, fracking of shale fields & refining petroleum as a form of “mining?” The elements that go into a battery are charged & discharged hundreds of times, while gas & diesel are extracted once & burned up to be sent out your tailpipe. Next time, open the garage door before letting the fumes effect your thoughts. And no, most of my electricity does not come from coal, so skip that talking point please.

They all only make money after the warranty runs out and it breaks. How do you trust a company with this strategy?? Tesla approaching 20% going out the door, does very well. This is GM mentality. Proof of this is the fact GMs profit margins suck. They don't make money going out the door. Only after the warranty is over. Tesla with almost 30% profit margins, and lack of stealerships or Tesla repair centers proves Teslas are designed to be million mile vehicles.
