Is the Atelier Marie Remake Worth Buying?

The remake of Atelier Marie is finally here. After 26 years and literally dozens of sequels, is this version of the original alchemy 'em up worth playing for long time fans? Or newer fans? Or how about for first time players? Here's what I think, if it helps.
I played the PS4 version, by the way.

I'm still glad the first Atelier was finally be able to get a Western release. Part of me is hoping the other games in Japan might come to the West too - remade or not. I wanna play them all.
Simple and cozy, I think that may have had me sold. I do miss a lot of these old art styles of the era. I rather enjoyed this review, great job Hoodlie

Do you want to play with a time limit? If yes, Dusk. If not, Mysterious.

It's really fun to watch your review of Iris after that one, as it makes one wonders what happened for the series to take such a different direction for the Iris series (and mana khemia to a lesser extent) before coming back to its root. Probably some kind of new director or some directive from the top or something. Iir Ellie and Annie are still like normal Atelier too, not whatever Iris was.

Maybe they were trying to up sales by making them more like conventional JRPGs, and it didn’t work out as well as they hoped because they couldn’t reach the sam scale as their competitors. Or they figured they might as well make different series altogether, and that’s how we got Ar Tonelico. It’s interesting, at the very least.
I hated the ryza trilogy but did like all the other atelier games mostly the Dusk series. This is a easy buy for me.
