Is the 2022 Tesla Model S Plaid the KING of performance sedans?

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The Model S Plaid is Tesla's answer to performance EVs like the Porsche Taycan Turbo S & Lucid Air. On the outside you will find an updated front fascia, headlights, wheels and rear bumper. On the inside is a steering yoke, 17in infotainment screen and digital gauge cluster. Powering the Model S Plaid are (3) electric motors producing over 1000HP. Is the 2022 Tesla Model S Plaid the KING of performance sedans?

I’ve owned an S Plaid for over a month now. Have already driven it from Florida to NY and back. I absolutely love this car and the acceleration is unmatched by anything you’re going see on the road today. That being said, I don’t think S Plaid will be King of the Hill for long. Someone in a 90's corolla can cause a great deal of damage driving recklessly; Imagine a 2.4 ton metal bowling ball hurling at you at the speed of light. Enough torque to kill you from blunt force trauma or severe whiplash. Plus tesla has like one of the best crash safety ratings of all companies, because of how they make their cars. SO almost all the force of the crash is going into the other person's car.

The Kawasaki H2R does the 1/4 mile in under 9 seconds but not consistently because it's extremely hard to get traction in 1st gear with a bike of that power because you only have 2 wheels gripping. So it's actually faster then the official time for the model S plaid but not the 0-60. But yeah other bikes aren't even close but that's mostly because of being Naturally aspirated and limit of grip on a motorcycle. But also it's not a fair comparison because since high hp motorcycles are so bad from dig's (like dodge demon on street tires bad), especially NA ones because they bog down; Also motorcycles are notoriously bad at losing to high hp cars above 120mph because they run out of steam, it's really just the weight advantage that gives them breathing room in the 20-120mph range.

I was able to get used to it on the first day. My girlfriend on the other hand...she's one of those that sits very close to the steering wheel and does the hand over hand turns with the wheel so she absolutely hated the yolk at first.
