Rory hit the nail on the head, the first gen P100d S was almost painful to be in off the line when it was released, so the contrast with the Plaid S is remarkable! Great vid guys!

To be fair you get used to the p100d, but I still tell people to put their head against the head restraint if it's their first launch. 2.3 0-60 is still very quick. They look slow in this video next to the others

Even if you take the 0-60 without the rolling start, it’s still about 2.6s, so still ranks near the top of the list of fastest accelerating production cars nestled in amongst the usual ‘exotic’ ICE contenders. You definitely get used to it, but doesn’t diminish how impressive that acceleration figure is in isolation.

This race is electrifying 😂

Taycan turbo gt would beat the plaid but lose to the lucid becuase it has 4 motors and porsche only used 2 due to them caring more about overall performance then just straight line speed. If porsche cared only about straight line speed and put 4 of their motors in a car it would easily be the fastest car on the planet.

@futuristic_car_channel yea. At the end of the day porsche is the true winner for being able to retain a lightweight 2 motor setup and be able to keep up/beat 2 car brands that have to use 3-4. Porsche engineering is obv leading the pack

16:24 - when i was Circuit Racing, i used a product called 'Rain-X' (comes in a little yellow plastic bottle) and after 2 applications, once you go above 10mph you *NEVER* have to use your wipers, ever. Providing you don't wash it off with your screenwash, or swipe it off with the wipers sweep, it lasts, and lasts, and last Awesome product - I can't recommend it highly enough

it goes exactly as expected Would be more interesting seeing the various model 3 performance and the long range with that optional boost package and one long range with boost package and smallest diameter rims possible for the model 3 (if it can use 17 or 16)

@@Dooferz32 Lights vary every time, it's the whole idea. He's said before that they don't get lights as they want to remove the drivers reactions from the equation, however even with the arms reaction time comes into play so the argument is moot

i believe the race times are gps data, but of course head to head in very fast cars a few tenths off the line can make a big difference to the winner in the frame
