Raiti's Rides it was a combination of a strike that they had, GM being behind already on orders and then the virus. They’ve stopped taking orders entirely for now and production has been pushed back, orders now for only the 2021 model year I think. Something along those lines, a shame I wanted to see one in person or in the streets.

Joe, flip the switch on the rear view mirror and there is a rear camera that is displayed on the mirror. No more blind spots

Oh my goodness, thanks Joe for taking me for a ride!! This is Star Trek Next Generation stuff. The interior is absolutely space age glorious.

I love this Corvette.. I once drove the C6 edition, and the C7 was cool, but GM has finally taken the Vette to the next level. Thanks for an awesome review.

I saw one in the highway and first reaction I had was "that's a nice color Lamborghini" until it passed me and totally realized it was the new C8 vette ❤️ Just like you, It's growing on me.

That car is just INSANE! Especially given the starting price. Cannot even imagine what the Z06 and ZR1 will end up being in terms of performance. MIND BLOWN! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯Oh and just a minor correction on Corvette history from a Corvette fanatic. You mentioned Targa roof being around since the C7. It first appeared on the 1984 Corvette so the C4 was when it was first available. Prior to that you got T-Tops which I believe started with the C3 in 1968.

Now this was an awesome review on the C8!!! I loved your reactions to it!!! Convinces me I NEED one!!! If ever I have the money I'm not hesitating!!!

One of my favorite simple joys in life is seeing people get excited about things they're passionate about. I definitely got that is this video. You clearly had a blast driving that car.

The rear view mirror can also be switched to a camera/video screen mode. So GM thought of the visibility too.

Excellent review, Joe! I love the interior of the C8, especially as this particular vehicle is optioned. If GM put this same level of commitment to excellence in all their products, they could rightfully put "Mark of Excellence" on their keys again.

Just an estimate, it may be longer. GM screwed up by taking 40k+ orders for a car during UAW strikes. Its almost guaranteed to be something on it to fail as these are being rushed out right now, even preproduction models already had check engine lights on. Some KZreadrs already admitted theirs had to light on already as well.

Used scat pacc is prob around 30k and used AMG 63 $15k . The AMG was my first choice for 2020 but got a cheap new car instead

Hey Joe. I love what you do man. I discovered you about two weeks ago. I have learned so much about this iconic new corvette over the past few weeks, thanks mostly to your thorough reviews. Hey, twice in this video you mentioned that you were NOT happy with the lack of a manual transmission option. I feel ya on that. For folks who want that "true racing experience" nothing beats an old skool manual transmission. However Joe, I have noticed a trend across the automotive industry of car manufacturers scuttling manual transmissions for automatic transmissions with shifter paddles behind the steering wheel. Personally, after using both, the gears change faster, up and down, when using the paddle shifters. From a safety standpoint I like being able to engage my paddle shifter to downshift in my Chrysler 300 when I have to slow down abruptly. Conversely, I like being able to "manual shift" up with ease and quickness when accelerating on those days when I'm feeling like Mario Andretti. Overall, I think that that paddle shifters get you up to a fast speed quicker than "a stick on the floor" and a clutch peddle. Therefore, I think that the days of the manual transmission might be behind us; at least in mass produced consumer vehicles. What are your thoughts???

@@LGBFJB46 The base model starts at right under 60k, anyone who's buying one isn't driving off the production line or especially the dealer at that price. Even non-spec out ones are coming to a final price at or around 80k.

Great review of the all new mind-engine 2020 C8 Corvette. You look like you really, really enjoyed the ride! You did a zonk on the visibility of the rear view mirror but you didn't push the button on the mirror for the rear view camera. It's absolutely crisp unobstructed view. People say it just takes a little getting use to and it's located on top of the rear glass.

Joe thank you for reviewing these awesome cars! I feel excited from behind the screen 📺 🤩
