There is something about the new story mode that is really captivating to people who casually play fighting games and people who've never played a fighting game before. The fact that I could run up to random mfers on the street and hit them in the back with a shoryuken was the most amazing thing ever as a person who never really messed with street fighter like that. My buddy is that one guy in the friend group that doesn't play games that don't involve shooting people. When he tried the world tour mode it was the first time i could say i got him to be interested learning how to play a fighting game. Ultimately, SF6 is a textbook example of how you draw new players into complicated fighting games. Now we pray Capcom does a Marvel vs Capcom multiverse tour mode or something lol

Can't call yourself single player or casual while advocating for ranked mode.

I like Street Fighter 5 a lot better than Street Fighter 6 because in Street Fighter 5, there is no need for Capcom ID and no need for annoying QR codes to scan with a smartphone. In Street Fighter 5, all you have to do is create your online fighter ID name, go online and win and lose some online matches. Easy peasy. Street Fighter 6's World Tour story mode sucks because you are basically leveling up your created fighters for absolutely nothing and you cannot play as your created fighters in offline and online matches in Street Fighter 6! If I were you, Capcom fans, I would stick with Street Fighter 2 through 5, the Street Fighter Alpha series, Street Fighter EX 1,2 and 3, Street Fighter X Tekken, etc.. The Capcom of today are not as good as the Capcom of way back when. If Capcom are going to continue forcing Capcom ID and QR codes down us Capcom fans' throats, then me, you and the rest of the Capcom community are going to quit buying Capcom's future games.

Because of the current pro gamer situation regarding fighting games overall I simply avoid online shit. I always played some Street Fighter in my free time. But I never went on to become a professional competition player. I'm certainly not gonna study footsies and other shit like I would study physics or chemistry. But in single player oinly everything is fine. Pick the difficulty level you prefer for the day and let go. I'd argue it is among the best fighting games right now and it is still in its vanilla state. Can't wait how this turns out once everything is added up.

Did the HUB thing last night.. saw a few people online got a few rounds in with some dude.. was a good time as I’m a casual in these newer fighter games (MVC2 is more my deal) No toxic people that came across. Plus some people mad some crazy looking avatars lol

I would recommend this version of SF to beginners and new people who have never even touched a fighting game. They literally created a way to make combos easier by letting u chose modern instead of classic controls so incase u can do the inputs correctly modern makes it easier to where u don’t have to do as many inputs but ur damage output won’t be as high as classic controls. And u can create ur own avatar and give it any special moves u want and u can even fight others lol that shit is hilarious and fun. So if anyone is looking into a fighting game to get into give SF6 a chance.

Thanks for all the info. I was planning on getting it because my brother and his friends have played Street Fighter all their teenage years up til now at 34/36 years. While I'm way younger than them and already got Street Fighter IV and V I haven't played it but it I still thought that it was a pretty good game. But I've always had that "fear" or start playing it with the little tl no knowledge I have in fighting games.

I have always been a Tekken and sometimes MK person (my last street fighter game was in SNES and I sucked at it) but after the hype matched the initial reviews I had to go ahead and pick this up. I play ranked in Tekken 7 (only because I've been playing since I was a kid lol) so im glad you recommended to try that out. I think I'm gonna drop into the practice modes and guides and find a character to main. Thanks for the review man !

I suck at fighting games so I mostly stay away from but I heard SF world tour was good so I played the demo and world tour and I thought this is fun and the modern controls were easy to pick up and (it doesn't hurt that it's on sale on steam). Got a question though should I just get base game or should I get deluxe?

So I just downloaded Tekken 8 and it just seems like it's going to be way too involved for me to even play casually
