You got it wrong this time. Cassava plants roots are not at all edible eaten raw. It has to be properly boiled, drained. In fact it is twice cooked to remove toxins in it. Cassava root has a type of cyanide in it. Double boiling and cooking removes it to the safest level. Now coming to Sabudana(tapioca pearls) from cassava, which you are calling as refined processed food, is actually good during fasting because it is edible latex food and latex is easy to digest, good energy source and being edible latex, it passes through intestines easily which do not causes constipation. Some people end up having constipation even after fasting and on liquids. Also, latex food is not only good during the days of fasting, but also good to open the fast for the same reason that it is latex and milder on digestion. If fried potatoes are not added to it sabudana is good. Normally peanuts are added to it which is a combo of carbohydrate and protein. Cilantro leaves and lemon juice makes it a fantastic food.

To make it more digestable in our gut. Sabudana is actually healthy especially in summers.. Yes frying sabudana by making vadas and all is definitely not healthy, but its khichdi, or soaked sabudana mixed with fruits.. Is definitely very nutritious. And also half of the food alternatives which these self proclaimed coaches suggest are way too expensive if one wants to get all the dietary requirements for the day. Hundreds of years ago our ancestors were eating all this but still had the life span of 40-50 years and even if we consider that even they lived short lives those were healthy lives it would be a foolhardy to not consider the fact that they were doing a lot of physical work to digest all that. It is not necessary that what worked ages ago would still work for us.

half of the food alternatives which these self proclaimed coaches suggest are way too expensive if one wants to get all the dietary requirements for the day.

If you are fasting consume root based food like sweet potato and fruit like orange and Banana.... Orange is high in citric acid which help to reduce the stomach burn which is caused by fasting... Banana is instant energy fruit because it's digest fast than other fruit which is enriched with potassium.....

its not that true actually..these things have been given in the ancient books and from that time everyone who is fasting is eating these type of foods only and now you are saying that it is not good for health I don't think so because if it is suggested by the old people it must have any benefit because I have been fasting I know it doesn't affect anything I am a science student also I know everything about it and I am connected to the ancient culture also cause as the old people say the things everything they say are very true for nowadays kyunki wo log jo bolte hain unmen koi baat Hoti hai un mein koi burai nahin Hoti hai they always speak and give the information which is right for the people's health for the people's good living and anything so you ka everyday you can't come and say that this thing is wrong this thing is wrong today you are saying that sago is unhealthy for us and if we start eating fruits the other day you will post that fruits are made up like this their pollinated their this they are that every time so I don't get the point of pointing out every four cause hame jina nahin hai na is Dharti per Jo mil sakta hai hamen vah khana chahie aur yah sari chijen bahut nutritious Hoti hai kyunki main ek nutritionist ki field mein jaane wali hun and I know that sago is good
