Jessica Letsu.. Bullsh*t. You're a blatant liar. If a person's been smoking for 30 years, do you think they can just wake up one day and say "you know what? I don't feel like smoking today or ever?" It doesn't work that way. If you've been cheating a lot before you got married, nothing can stop you from cheating in you're marriage. A ring won't get rid of someone's habit. Sooner or later you're going to cheat on your husband if you already haven't.

So do I my husband was a cheater and now it's been almost 7 years without another incident . A combination between me stepping up and no longer allowing him to treat me that way , he himself working out that he didn't want to lose us (myself and our children one of watch I was pregnant with at the time ) .It wasn't easy I mean I wanted to beat him many times and lost all respect for him and it took years for him to earn back both my love and respect .But it is possible if both are willing to work for it .

Eh no. I cheated on my girl. Nasty argument too. (Not violent lol) but we talked and I realized what I was about to lose and I do want her in my life so I stepped up and manned up. It’s as Steve says. Sometimes it takes that moment for us to get our ish together. And we don’t have problems now. She doesn’t keep me in some jailhouse relationship where she’s gotta check my phone all the time. Shoo I have a female bestfriend. Had this girl my bestfriend for 6 years and my girl knows her and they’re friends they gossip. I’m not popular but I know a lot of people and a lot of females and she doesn’t get jealous on it cause she knows I’m a friendly guy. And she knows to me being friendly isn’t flirting. It’s how i was raised to be friendly and kind and. It cold shoulder people. She knows I love meeting knee people and if they’re girls I’ll meet em befriend em but the moment they disrespect with some hidden agenda than I cut off. I always give a female a chance until she disrespects and that’s where I’m at now and my girl I told her the same thing for her. I don’t check her phone she has male friends. And she can befriend em as long as they don’t disrespect.

If my gf were to come to me and tell she has feelings for someone else i would feel bad ofc but i would really appreciate the fact that she took the hard path of honesty and didn't betray me (assuming that she dumped me before doing anything with the guy ofc). Unlike actions feelings are impossible to be controlled therefore i can't blame her for having said feelings no matter how hurt my ego would be.

I don’t know how people can say that cheating can never be justified? Even cheating isn’t black or white and there’s always a deeper reason than "he/she is a horrible person". Would you be mad if someone who had been suffering and stuck in an extremely physical and mental abusive relationship for years, would choose to seek love elsewhere? Or what about if you were forced into an arranged marriage with no way out. Cheating is bad and it is unfortunate that some feels as tho its the only way out, but its not in every case that its done with malicious intent. It can simply be to escape your current situation, as we are all human and everyone seeks and craves love and validation. And no, I have never cheated myself as thats what everyone assume if you choose to be open minded.

There are no excuses for cheating whatsoever, theres no such thing as a “slip-up” in a relationship because why were you in that position to possibly “slip-up” in the first place? You cant ever cheat if you’re never in a position/situation to cheat. (Example: Going to the bar and hooking up with someone for the night....STILL CHEATING, why were you at the bar without your significant other in the first place?)

Anthony Fortson Exactly, there ain’t no damn thing such as a “slip-up”. Like if someone with a partner decides to cheat with someone at the bar and go all the way back to their apartment, there’s SOO many opportunities in that sequence for them to think “This is wrong”, but they keep going through with it. That one “slip-up” is basically them telling you how much you mean to them in one event; and that’s 0.

Saying cheating is part of life makes it more acceptable and easier to get away with cheating. Saying that is the equivalent of telling your man/woman "yeah, what you did was wrong, but please don't do it again, pleeeeaaase". Nah man, life's too short to spend with a cheater. This ain't stealing a pen from someone, this is infidelity, and the only option is to get rid of the human waste a.k.a your ex-to-be

Steve Harvey is always spot on. I lost the love of my life because I cheated and it’s not like she left me when she found out it was several years later because she had no trust no faith and no respect in me. She stayed because she loved me but when she realized she didn’t feel appreciated, loved, respected she left and took everything with her. I lost her, my home, and our cat over this. Needless to say it changed me completely. I shattered to pieces, was a complete wreck. I found god, confessed to friends and family, became a good person. I am proud that I am no longer the man who took his love for granted and I know, given another chance at love, I will appreciate every single second. I changed because of her leaving but I changed for me. My mind, my heart, and my soul are completely new and I’m grateful for the pain because without it I wouldn’t be the man I am today.

You should see how he reflects on his wrong doings. Take a break from the relationship and see how much he has change just for your relationship. Ask reason why he cheated. Then asked again, does he really not gonna repeat the mistakes. Also, what if he has that urge, would you able to stop him?

I firmly believe the way you get them is the way they leave. But I also know first hand that not everyone is honest about that. My ex was still involved with a women who he told me was a crazy ex. Over three years more and more of the truth came out and when I left him I called his “crazy ex” and apologized because I knew what he had told me about her 3 years earlier wasn’t true. Her and I had a great conversation and she was a great support for me during a very hard time in my life. My ex was a narcissist. And sometimes you don’t see the truth until you’ve lived the hell. And I don’t think that all men can change. Some just like being cheating jerks. My ex will be 57 this year. He’s just like his dad, with a rotating door of ex “crazy” girlfriends. The only one who is crazy is him and how he treats women.

I think if you are cheated on, the most important deciding factor of whether you want to get back or not should be how YOU feel about it. Can you forgive him? Are you willing to contribute to building back up the trust? How much will you be able to trust him after that? Can you get past this and make peace with yourself and your partner? Is working through this painful experience which will be psychologically and emotionally draining for possibly the rest of your relationship worth it to YOU? Or has your trust been broken so badly that you believe you cannot salvage the relationship to a point where YOU will feel comfortable? In that case, it's better to move on.... You just gotta be completely honest with yourself. All that other stuff about whether it's a repeat or not, whether it meant something or not, whether he was drunk or not, why did he do it, was he unhappy etc. None of that matters bc in the end of the day it all comes down to the same thing... he betrayed your trust. Period. Your relationship will never feel as good to you as it was before he betrayed you. You will never feel as safe. Even if he doesn't do it again, you will always wonder....No explanation will ever be enough. It will hurt like hell. Are the remains of that damage worth holding on to and trying to salvage?

It’s very true! My partner and I met at the absolute worst time in both of our lives.. Ironically we bonded as friends over the fact that neither of us believed we wanted another relationship again! Needless to say, two very passionate people in denial made for a roller coaster of mistakes. He was still casually sleeping with his ex from about 10 years ago, which I knew of, but then when we got more serious, they both began to lie about it.. Cut to a few months later and he was given a major reality check when he was thrown in jail because of a charge he had about 4 years prior! The moment I heard his voice on the phone, I knew everything was different.. He now has a full time job with overtime, he is saving for a home for us, we have pets, we go to family events, he is honestly a new man! And best of all, because of all that we went through in the beginning, I know in my heart that without a doubt, he changed his whole life in order to be enough for me and the family we hope to start someday. Set your standards ladies. Men do not want a woman who is just like all the others. The right one will step up to be with you! Regardless of the unlucky hand he has been dealt in life. And although I feel I am still healing from certain things, I know I have his full support on both the good days and bad. I also know he is more transparent with me than I think he would have been had this not have happened at the beginning. Every cloud has a silver lining!

People do change, so it all comes down to the individual person. When I was a young man I used sex as a means to numb my pain from my past, so I cheated on every woman I had a relationship with. Overtime I realized how my actions were effecting people in my life and how everything else was taking a back seat to pursuing a numb state, so I decided to change. I sought out counseling, the lord and looked at how my behavior was hurting others and took responsibility for my mistakes. I successfully stoped being a player and became a man. A man should value a woman. Sex should be reserved for someone you love and that you are committed to. I would never cheat again because I have changed the person I was and became a new version of myself. Once you view your partners beauty based on what's inside, their character and the love you have for each other, physical temptation from another woman would simply be something that you wouldn't even give a second thought to because you know the woman waiting at home has everything you want and need. No other woman could even compare to the way she makes you feel. Unfortunately some people never change and continue their destruction. It has to come from within, not from someone telling you have too.

It depends on how the guy reflects after he cheated. If he’s saying “oh I did it because she didn’t satisfy me enough” and not being sorry and is finding excuses, then obviously he’s going to do it again. If he’s like “wrong is wrong and I have no excuse for what I did” and he is actively trying to change on that then I’d give him another chance. Everyone makes mistakes but not everyone learn from them.

But that is only true when it comes to mistakes u did not know were mistakes like baking something on a higher temperature than u should, sunbathing without sunscreen thinking u won't get a sunburn or drinking that fourth drink thinking u will not end up throwing up. Cheating, betraying, lying and hurting your bf's/gf's/spouse's feelings thinking it's not a mistake is inconceivable to me.

I agree to a certain extent. For example, a man in his 30's that is married and has been for 5 years but married his high school sweetheart and still cheating on her is not going to change. Some people never grow out of that. It's just apart of their character and who they are as an individual. I am only 24 and has knowledge on this topic.

if your girl does relationships like jobs? and looks for one while she still has one.. ...be very aware you aren't her last interview, she sees you as a stepping stone, and there is somewhere around zero percent chance that your affection will be reciprocated on anything but a guilt-based level. She probably only likes you for your stuff.

I can agree that people can change but if you are cheated on do not stay with the person because they might change. They didn’t respect you when they cheated and they probably still don’t respect you after.

The real question is this: do men forgive female cheaters? The answer is NO. So why do so many women take back men who cheat on them? Have standards IMO.
