Traction+torque curve is more important for everyday driving. I chipped my AWD Ford Fusion Ecoboost 2.0L and the traction from that AWD just helps to plant all that lovely torque all. the. time. I have enough power for a FWD or RWD car to break loose, but that AWD just keeps everything planted and so predictable, it's great.

I normally skip the promo ads but donut they make them worth watching keep it up guys!!

I exchanged my 5th gen Camaro for a C5 Z06, and even that little bit of weight difference makes a huge difference. The LS6 might be making like 40hp less than the LS3, but the car is still faster because it's not obese. Also it can barrel through turns much better lol

I think there was a tiny mistake here. The graphics showed the "weight to power" ratio which the lower it is, the better. However, the power to weight ratio is always better the higher it is (P2W ratio is always desirable to be closer to 1 or greater than 1). So I think the graphics and the wordings got jumbled up over there. But an amazing video, as always!

Do you know why this is the case? This video didn't actually explain how reducing weight improves lap times, just the limits of adding more power. I commented somewhere in this thread the actual reason reducing weight improves lap times, but using the tire model they described in the video reducing weight would have no effect on handling...

@@Brock_Corb my issue is the lack of entertainment value. we've been complaining about these videos since Jeremiah was brought onto the team. Why don't we see the complaints in the comments anymore? Probably because those people stopped watching, and I'm about to as well. I love Zach, Nolan, and James, but Jeremiah doesn't fit into the picture. From what I've read, too many people have not found him funny and the videos aren't very entertaining or informative. @@raynjpg Quite literally nobody is stopping you from not watching.. There is a big difference from constructive criticism and just flat out complaining. Idk what to tell you man... I'm sorry something you used to like changed and you dont like it as much now... There's a Nova in town that has done quite a few rolling burnouts on the highway, Im pretty sure it was doing upwards of 50 before putting the pedal down.

When ragging it my Old JCW mini would get a hint of wheel spin changing into 3rd, which was over 50mph. Pretty sure if you were trying to get them to spin up you could get that to last.

Would be cool to see some more details on this topic. Like a car can only get so light with a certain amount of hp, and also a car can basicly only have so many hp power but what is the weight gonna be then. When does it break even for different applications. But a good start to this topic :)
