I've travelled to Iran as an Aussie tourist and the people there are incredibly hospitable and love all visitors coming to see their country. I don't think they have any issue with Americans in general, maybe the policies of the American government ticks them off (particularly because of all the sanctions the US has held against Iran since forever) which has destroyed their economy. But for the most part, they don't see Americans in a bad light. Part of the indoctrination is actually in western media. They do alot of damage when they spread lots of misinformation about other countries like Iran..

Americans can go to Iran but they need an official tour guide. If you have an Irish passport you can go without a guide and you are on your own. But for people without an American passport if you visit Iran it makes visiting America extremely complicated and you may be refused entry into America.

I pray for the day when all the Arab across the gulf can visit Iran and enjoy the tourism as our grandfathers did in the past . Too bad Tahran is only 2hrs from Dharan in Saudi Arabia and I can't visit .

I've been in Iran several times, professionally and as a tourist. One has tripped in several countries all over the world, the iranian middle class is probably the most evolved one on earth, no kidding. They reached an intellectual level you can only cross in elite high society in our western era.

Iran has almost 90 million people. 16 million people live in the Tehran 🇮🇷 metropolitan area (where this video was filmed). This would be like going to NYC or DC 🇺🇸 and showing off the best neighborhoods. Or only showing off the modern cities on the eastern coast of China 🇨🇳, whereas the western side is more rural and struggles. Or only showing off Moscow + St Petersburg in Russia 🇷🇺 . Or only showing off the best parts of Tokyo for Japan 🇯🇵 whereas the countryside is aging & infrastructure may be lacking. Don’t let propaganda fool you; every country has its good parts but also some bad parts. We’re all just people trying to survive 🌍, the average person does not represent its government.

I am an Indian. From a long time I have been obsessed with Iran and God willing I will visit Iran someday... From the ancient times, we have been interacting together and we hope to do it in the future too.🇮🇳❤️🇮🇷

I have watched several videos of people of western extraction visiting through the rural areas of Iran and the one thing they have all had in common is their reflections on what they had been told and what the reality was,how they had no problems passing through border controls and how engaging and hospitable the Iranian people were to complete strangers,i am English and have long since stopped believing in the narrative spun by our governments and media in the west,most people in this world are but pawns used by the super wealthy and ruling classes to ensure they remain at the top of the ladder and they have no qualms in sacrificing us pawns to ensure they remain their.Thanks for the video mate it,s nice to see life from a different perspective.

Hello George, I have a feeling you and I do not share each other's politics but I do agree with almost everything you have said. I visited Iran a couple of times before the revolution -yes, I am now officially old! It was a wonderful country with wonderful people. Persians are definitely from an incredibly high cultural background. I loved the country and have only had very positive relationships with Persians around the world since my visits back in the 70s.

Regards from Greece. Iran definetelly worth for visit. One of the most ancient civilizations and a very cultural rich country worths a visit, im sure.

As a Norwegian I visited Iran for a two weeks holiday back in 2014, and it is probably the most wonderful holidays I've ever had. I spent a week in Isfahan and a week in Tehran, and both were impressive cities, albeit in differing manners. I thoroughly enjoyed engaging with locals, and I did not meet a single rude or unfriendly person. Everyone seemed very welcoming, and keen to engage in communication. I travelled alone, and so I was probably quite approachable in the eyes of the locals. Prior to attending a football match in Isfahan (well, rather away from the city, in Fooladshahr), I was invited to sit down and share a cup of tea (or a few cups of tea, as it turned out) with some home fans, whose knowledge of international football was on par with my own, if I may be so bold. I agree that northern Tehran was the most 'Western' feeling you could get in Iran, but when you travel, surely, you'll prefer to see what is unique about the places you visit rather than seek reassurances through scenes which are more or less identical to home. I'll give Iran and the Iranian people ten out of ten for their hospitality and friendliness.

Spain has itself inherited aspects of Persian culture. The love of water in Spanish gardens for example is pure Persian with the gardens of the Alhambra being the most well known. When two people say the the same thing together in Spain you say "there must be an angel passing over head", isn't that right? That is a Persian saying. Culturally speaking I think Spain is the luckiest country in Europe. Un saludo.

I have a Persian friend who spended couple of years in Szeged and Budapest (both hungarian city) as medical student, he was a very very positive guy, but he didn't tell me much about Iran. (only about the Iranian people pot consumption habits 😅). Beside that he only increased my appreciation of the country for me, which has a great history and culture. Persians are truly deserve respect and love.

This cleared up many misconceptions I had about Iran, although I always knew most of the stereotypes were fake. I would want to visit Iran someday as an Indian.

Way better than I expected. I heard a lot about the mandatory veil for women and the protests, but in this and other videos in Tehran I see many ladies with their hair uncovered, just more modest than Europeans and Americans and in fact, people are generally better dressed. Am I missing something here?

The only stricter regions your talking about are Qum and mashhad, which is pretty obvios as they contain holy sites and clerics and this is where most of the religious schools are so of course modesty is a huge thing there, it's not hard to just respect the majority people there and just wear a head covering. The same strictness is also present in a lot orthodox Jewish sites but no one says anything and respects their beliefs

Been to Iran many 2yrs ago. Visited not only Tehran but a few other places as well. People there r friendly I enjoyed their foods l. I felt safe there. Iran to my eyes is not what the western seem to make it to b. I also saw tourists from Japan n Germany as well. M a Malaysian

Iran certainly has come a long way since I lived in Tehran and worked for the Iranian Air Force at Doshen-Tappeh AFB from 1977 until the Shah was overthrown. It's even more beautiful now. I still carry a 50 Rial note in my wallet, just in case...when 50 Rials was real money, unlike it is today.

I worked for Pan Am Technical Services, a branch of Pan Am Airlines who were subcontractors of Raytheon for the Iranian Air Force SIGINT department. My job was building and training IAF Homofars in test equipment calibration and repair, nothing to do with USAF. My apartment was near Park-e-Saie off the main street. I've forgotten which district that was...

I would love to visit Iran one day for its beauty, culture and history. As a child of USSR we we taught to value every nation and I as a child even danced persian dance :) Then during Russia-Georgia conflict I saw a news video from Iran about that and I was imoressed by journalist ethics and unbias of the broadcast. Also I met an Iranian family in Thailand - they were so intelligent and polite, I liked them so much. So for me there was no surprise that Iran is developed and of rich culture. Wish you all the best from Russia!

I visited from the US for snow skiing in 1976. It was GREAT! Most people there speak more than one language. So, it was easy to get help with any translation. I was too young for drinking then. But, it seems that alcohol was served/sold then.

If there were no subtitles or farsi signs, it could easily be mistaken as if it were Istanbul (the Asian Side) if you know Istanbul. In any case, thank you for sharing this video. What you see in this video does not indicate a unique Western style. You shouldn't attribute order and excellent design just to a Western culture. Remember, Iran was the center of the world at one point in history with elaborate architecture, scientific discoveries, arts, literature, and poetry. The world needs to move from the platform of East and West to an understanding that humanity needs order, design, and beauty. What you see in this video is a unique blending of the best of Western and Persian architecture.

I live in germany and one time there was an Iranian refugee in the metro station who screamed around and talked about how bad life in Iran is. He was pretty much describing it like it was Afghanistan or Somalia. Now I think that he was probably paid by the German government or the church

i met a girl from Iran at university and she was really cool Totally nice and open I even thought at the beginning that she was from Latin America

A shopping mall is usually the last place I’d want to spend my time in but have to admit it is a beautiful one all the same.

I have been to 144 countries and am yet to find one which can rival Iran . They got it all . Magnificent !!! ✊❤️🇨🇦

6:50 Actually weekend in Iran is Thursday, Friday On Thursdays some places work half-time but on Friday all Government organizations and Private companies are closed, but most tourist attractions are open.

I was surprised by the hockey rink until you mentioned that this is the world's largest shopping mall. I am more than familiar with the original "world's largest mall" (until 2004) the West Edmonton Mall (WEM) in Alberta Canada, developed by the Persian-Jewish Ghermezian family. I see in wikipedia that the family patriarch Jacob played host to Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin in 1943 during the Tehran conference. The family moved to Montreal in the 1950s. WEM also has a ice hockey rink.

Iran won the championship of 2024 IIHF Women's Asia and Oceania Cup International Ice Hockey. just today Iran also won the championship 2024 CAFA Women's Futsal Championship for the 3rd time not to mention countless Iranian woman Olympic gold medalist such oppressing society is this that if its women are achieving more than any other countries. it seems west should examine their priorities that if a country do not sexualized their females are oppressive despite the fact that in all metrics Iranian female are ahead of western women especially in science and sport. but it seems only category that is matter is the number of qorn star as i said erlier because that is only category that western woman beats Iranian women. they present the fact that Iranian metro has women only cabin as anti women policy. But they don't tell you that although it's true that there are women only section in metro and bus but there isn't any men only sections which means there are only mix or normal sections and only women section as privilege for women privacy and safety in rush hours , how dishonest west is that depict a clearly Pro women policy as evidence of oppressions against women . something tells me due to amount of sexual assault against women in west they will start to adopt Iranian policy

I can feel the lack of tension in that mall. Unlike the UK where people are marching about with their stern faces never making eye contact.

It doesn't look like we usually say in Western countries. As I see, it looks a modern society more quiet than ours.

We are still "quiet" in Europe. But migrants from Middle East and Africa are not.

Thank you for this comprehensive video showing the true face of a part of Teheran and its' people. Western media and politics try to force wrong views onto their people about countries that do not fit into their political agenda. We criticize countries like Iran, China, Russia and more of censoreship and what not, but we are in no way better to judge others. Channels like yours help curious people have a more open and real view on the world and help to question what our own politics and media are trying to sell us.

I am still waiting to vacation in Iran.

The perception and reality are very different.

Its good to see malls in Iran are thriving ,here in the US malls are dying unfortunately

I visited Iran once. Travelled overland from the eastern frontier Zahedan bordered Pakistan to Tabriz the western part bordering Turkey. I must say, Iran is one of the most friendliest country in the world. I think the west underestimates Iran and therefore loses immense opportunity in building good relationship based on mutual respect.
