I've been to Delhi a few times over 3 trips to India. It is full on India for sure!!! I like the craziness but with India there is an extreme amount of variance of good and bad to experience. I love it India is my favourite place to travel. One tip from western female friends is to always cover your shoulders in public to ease the male stares. Happy Travels

Hope you doing ok. I went to India many years ago on a yoga retreat with a friend and stayed in New Delhi. The Indian People are amongst the friendliest people in the world bare none. I enjoyed my time there touring the architectural ruins and historical sites. The Food Outstanding. However, India has its problems. There is a great divide between the rich and poor as you branch out into the rural areas. That being said. I urge everyone to go at least once in your lifetime and keep an open mind. You will come away from the experience enlightened. Thank You Rhett and Claire for a wonderful tour. It brings back many fond memories. Sending you lots of love 💖💖💖 from Richmond, Va. I went to Delhi couple times and was only a stop over to reach other cities from there. However I never explored the city. Tbh it’s ignorant to say, but I was discouraged by many people and Indian friends to not visit Delhi because it’s not safe for solo female travelers. I regret it a lot that I didn’t give it a chance. I was told the same thing about Varanasi, but regardless I visited and nothing happened and I loved the experience which I call bold and out of this world. @00:28 "we will be exploring as much of Old Delhi and New Delhi as possible" and then out of 11 min and 20 second there is 9 minute of Old Delhi and just a glimpse of New Delhi. well we need to address this unseen bias. I condone you showing Buzzling and chaotic Old Delhi with it's rich history I think it's an important part of India but not giving equal importance to New Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon is a huge problem. When I went out of India for the first time and told I came from Delhi everyone had this picture of Delhi bombarding me with stereotypes and thinking the whole of India looks like this --> there is litter every where, everywhere is very chaotic, there are no clean streets or urban areas. I don't want to explain to them that the things you have seen are far from truth exploring a little part of a such a massive NCR region and then calling all of the country (most diversed) the same is a huge symbol of foolishness. I like your vlogs don't get me wrong But I thought it's important to diverse your attention to this. Please don't add in the bias people already have. thank you

Sorry but the info on Qutub Minar is incorrect. It was erected by Indian ruler. But after conquest the muslims destroyed the Hindu idolatory compound and temples around it. The Minar was quite grand so in order to impose their victory they just carved Islamic scriptures on the Minar.

We asked to experience this. We are fully aware that Delhi has many modern wonderful buildings but we don't want to see this, we can see this in our own country and many others around the world. We want to see something unique and new to us. Regardless, if you decide to continue watching our videos then you will see that we do explore the modern areas of Gorgoan, etc. And yes, we are very impressed with the infrastructure there.

I made it to India and I just want to thank both of you for your videos they helped very much. I got spiked in Delhi, I don’t know how but they gave me speed. I know because I took the stuff for 8 years. I heard they give you speed to dry you out and disorientate you then when you are a mess with dehydration and delirium they take your stuff. Luckily I was experienced with it and knew how to stay safe. Anybody else could be dead now. I underestimated the distance between Delhi and Rishikesh, where I am now. We took a five hour taxi ride from a series of taxi drivers who must have been literal saints sent to help me. 🙏 I got to Rishikesh which is much more relaxed and my homestay manager has been helpful. I can’t believe how much they overcharge and short change but I’m starting to enjoy myself as the jet lag wears off and the comedown ends. 😂😂 Crazy days eh?

@@RhettandClaire no not a restaurant. I left the airport without drawing out some rupees or getting a sim card and used my card to get a metro to the city thinking everything would be cheaper there. I’d watched a million videos about people who approach you but nothing prepares you I think. Someone said they’d take me to an atm and I don’t even think I followed him he followed me. Anyway every atm I got to didn’t work and I was shown to these money changers which I avoided. Long story short I was worried I was going to pass out with thirst and I think they must have offered me a drink and I really had no choice. I went through all the stages of amphetamine use which lasted a few days. Taxi drivers who took me were angels. Rishikesh is great. I’m in the poor end of town rn but I’m moving up to Tapovan colony on Wednesday. None of the bad people got anything and I think I avoided every scam, which isn’t had for my first time. Tapovan has lots of hotels for backpackers and quality eating establishments etc. At the end of the day there are worse things they can do to an ex amphetamine addict than give him speed. I like speed lol but I’ve got more sense than to take it now.

It’s on every “top 10 things to do in Delhi” list. It’s an interesting area to explore, it’s different, you get to observe daily life and see things you wouldn’t see back home, there are many stores set up for tourists to buy things etc.

Poverty porn😂😂 and adding to negative stereotypes of the country. Nothing else. It is as if there is no poverty or deprivation in their own country. Indians vloggers should visit ghettos in Johannesburg and spend a day just filming there and say ‘ welcome to South Africa’ Oh wait! they can’t do that lest they get mugged or worse murdered for their camera. It’s a crime infested shithole .. ( see how stereotypes work!?) Give us a break!

Chandni Chawk is part of old Delhi and really it's not a tourist place. It is basically market for cloths, spices that one buys in bulk from wholesale or for someone's need. Unless you r not intended to buy anything from Chandni Chauk or Sadar I won't recommend any tourist going there, it will be definitely chaotic due to business activities. It can not be represented as India. Tourists should visit may be red fort, Delhi Haat, Akshar Dham, Eskon, Bhai, India Gate, Jim corbette wild life sanctuary (200 kms towards hills around Delhi), Suraj kund near Gurugram within national capital region, Noida, Vrindavan, Taj Mahal. There r plethora of interesting, historical and modern places to see around away from chaos.
