$39.99 now😂I just got one tho, best knob I’ve ever had. Super worth the money and especially worth it to monitor live voltage. Pretty sure they fixed the knob, it’s not cheap feeling or loose, also no dead zone, it’s a very well made knob in 2023.

What do you expect for $20, gold terminals and steel casing? CT Sounds make good products so im sure it will do its job just fine. Plus it has a volt meter and on and off feature that other bass knobs dont have.

I've had a couple of issues with my CT Sounds bass knob. The first is that it would turn my Taramps Smart 3K on, but not my Crescendo S6. I had to wire the Crescendo directly to the remote wire out of the radio and the Taramps to the bass knob. The 2nd is a low hum in my subs, which may be my fault, but I will find out today. I ran a separate ground to the metal behind the radio and I'm hoping grounding it with the radio or cigarette lighter will help it. What's odd is that the hum is louder at low volume and goes completely away with the knob at 100%.

Can I wire this directly to the amp? I like the on/off amp feature. I would like to use my CD player and it's internal amp by itself many times and when need be I would like to turn on this bass knob to have the amp and subs kick in. I still want the Head unit to control the bass volume through eq, bass boost, loudness, and sub woofer gain controls. All I need from the bass knob is the convenience of the on/off switch for my amp.

Just buy a $3 toggle switch from auto parts, Wally World, etc., cut your remote wire and put it in line, take 10 seconds, no need to buy this and wire it all up.

Wish the universal knob was able to include the Clip Light that is included on the knob that comes with CT amps.

thats for a ct amp. they use the same knob and you dont have to run a remote wire with them which is nice but you need "universal"

5:40 isnt that positive supposed to be wired to your amp +, so you can have the voltage from your amp terminal?

You could but I adjusted it to account for the difference in voltage at the amp. Which isn’t much. Either way your going to have some voltage drop because there is enough distance between the amp and the meter so it’ll have to be accounted for

I Just got the DS18 version of the CT bass knob w/digital volt read out with the little adjuster on the side to get your true voltage. They look exactly the same other than the brand and name. I will b hookin mine up this coming Saturday. I hope its not a P.O.S. lol. Hows yours holdin up? Thanks for the quick breakdown on how it hooks up. Mine came with No direction, no paper work at all good thing I already know my colors, Only thing I don't like so far is the short RCAs, they are so short, going to be a little more work to hide. But it really didn't cost much at all so I shouldnt be bitchin about it. Anyway thanks for this video and your others Bro.

Just controls what u have. If u need to add bass look into audio control epicenter. Dont get the cheap junk brand ones. Trust me the audio control stuff is way better. Cheap on sonic electronics too. Most shops want 270 for it while sonic have for about half that

Archie Dennis what setup do you have if you’re just running a radio and an amp the from your radio subwoofer out put or what ever rca channel you’re using for your subwoofer amp the bass knob will get installed on that rca before you run it to the amp rca input. If you have other equipment such as a pre amp, crossover, passive eq or a line driver the bass will get installed right before your rca goes into your subwoofer amp. Hope that makes sense

Thats basically a small broke down cross over with a volt meter right? Cuz back in da day like 14 years ago i had a old school alpine e.q. i just used for sub in and out but it had normal sub knob and right next to that knob it said crossover and u could give the amp a lil more umph before it recieves the signal. And mind u 15 years ago at that ti.e the e.q. was probably 10 15 years old. Well maybe not that old. But i eventually upgraded at best buy and got the last alpine e.q. before discontinued. But it had i think 16 or 12 band nd it had same tap sub knob and amp went off wich cums in handy when u c police. But that knib being flexi could b a try to shock absorb deep heavy bass. Just a thought. But i gonna try it cuz right now i got a wireless bluetooth 1 that came with the newer model kx kicker amps. I not sure i like the extra digital stuff takes from power amp could b using. U know. But i like ur vuds

I use this in a 150 db build dailg and it does fine only problem I ever had, is when I connected to many amps connected to it I think four at the time and it damaged what ever turned off and on amps so that didn't work but these r nice to have

I've used these for over three years and it works well best bang for the buck imo

First thing first... amps don't usually come with a bass knob. The newer ones might do, but older ones don't. Second that seemed like a lot of work and on the vid I didn't see you test it out to make sure it works. But I guess you cut a bit of the process. Third the placement. Where you placed it I can see someone like myself catching it and taking that long and not so sturdy knob off. 4th and maybe most important you are introducing a break in the sound line to your sub. Basically instead of clean signal from one good quality cable to one simple/basic rca cable to a filter to another cable. You went from 2 connections to 4. I don't think that is good. I am by no means an expert. This is not to say you are doing it wrong. It is to say please take into consideration these things in future videos. The details matter. That being said I still enjoyed the vid. You can and think you will get better at this. That's why I am subscribed.

I dont see whats wrong with extra outputs and inputs in rcas, just as long as its not a loose connection. Youll see way more outputs when installing crossovers, line out converters, sound processors etc.would be nice to see if we can test if a simple split from rcas at head unit with a universal bass knob does affect quality tho.

actually in 92 to 2004 i had a stereo business and most amps came with bass knob but after they stopped. only some had it

How did you even get your product got a AMP one day speaker they keep telling me hey we don't know where it's at we don't have a tracking number or nothing for you to follow trying to look for a good system made in America but guess what found out it's made in China

Just hooked this up and worked for about 10 mins then it shit out on me when I shut it off the blue light stays on and sends 12v threw the remote out but when I turn it on the blue light still stays on but gets dim and only sends about 3v threw the remote put so idk what happend with it iv looked over everything even unhooked it and wired just the + & - to the battery and still dose the same thing

Not with Audiocontrol fyi. I use LC7i with ACR1 bass knob and makes everything sound even better bcuz it is an active, not a passive.
