Hopefully after Chapter 2 comes back, they'll stop integrating time travel to past maps. Having that as a plot device at the end of every year would be too repetitive. I think that having OG maps as permanent game modes would be ideal, but could slowly make it boring if they don't update them

I agree with you 100% that this won't work as part of the story every time and that it should be a permanent mode. I don't think it'll get too boring though, because they have 2.5 years worth of content they could cycle through for Ch1 alone. Around 4.5 years if they also use Ch2. Not only that, but I'm sure people will bounce back and forth between OG and current BR. They could do other stuff to mix things up, though.

or maybe just like a few days of a random season every month would be reasonable and not make battle royale die at the same time

A lot of my friends are casual players who don’t follow the game everyday. They stopped playing during chapter 2 and came back for OG and left once OG was over. They will not return for chapter 2 and a lot of people will do the same.

I fear this is the truth.

And it would be awesome to choose which season to play so you can go along with the real life holidays! It would boost player counts and boost sales if you could buy stuff just in that season and chapter like more mixes of skins and other cosmetics!

It will be fun but i hope they do it right this time or attest make it a permanent mode!

Yeah they really were kinda lazy with the first Fortnite OG. Not enough map changes, events and a very basic loot pool. Before anyone says Ch1 was basic, it really wasn't. Especially not seasons 7 through X. We had a TON of weapons, items and vehicles that they didn't put in OG. They also made my traps super rare.

I have two skin combine idea 1. lets combine 8-ball vs scratch and brutes or fade 2. Fusion and Midas Tell me what other you thing would be a good combination for OG chapter 2

Chapter 2 season 2 was the best season of chapter 2 by far, literally Fortnites second prime in my opinion so if they bring back that season I think it could potentially reach the same numbers or somewhere close

Agreed about C2S2! It will definitely be fun and good. Just not sure it has the same "spark" as C1

I mean honestly I think c2 was a great idea because I get that c1 was more fun but they also have to make it fun for everyone so my point is some people may enjoy c2 more than c1 or the other way around

chapter 2 was always slept on because of how bad the second half of it was

Definitely not! I really loved Chapter 2! All things considered, I am very much looking forward to playing C2. I personally just think C1 was better, more fun, and more people would come back to play it than C2. Appreciate your comment!!!

No, you aren't alone. I loved Chapter 2. More than Chapter 1 actually. But part of that is because I really started playing the game in Chapter 2. I messed around in Chapter 1 here and there, but Chapter 2 is where I started grinding the game as much as I do now. It's more about the experiences you have for what can determine your favorite Chapter IMO.

I definitely prefer Chapter 1 by FAR. Better map. Better vehicles. Better weapons. Better skins. Tbh, idk why they're choosing Ch2, but I have a conspiracy theory. What if they're doing Ch2 because they really don't want "Fortnite OG" to be successful, and they know Ch2 won't be as hype, so they can quietly dump "Fortnite OG" after this? Just a thought. I think Epic really wants the focus to be on Lego, Festival and Racing, because they view the metaverse as the future.
