this is the problem with having collabs being tied with the season, you cant really bring them back in any way without removing a large chunk of that season. its like epic doesnt even own the seasons themselves

If Fortnite were to bring back a season, it should be for experiencing the original version and see how much the game has evolved over time. Unless of course the fundamentals of the game has always revisited old seasons (but that’s not how Fortnite is built) Also you could argue “nostalgia” for literally any season; no matter what season you bring back, some are going to feel more nostalgic about it than others, and therefore some will be opinionated to which season is brought back.

Ehhh I already played the old maps to death I'm ready for new one so og lasting a month is enough time for me. Besides I'm more excited to get into chapter 6 as soon as possible because the servey skins point to the possibility that it's Japanese theme which is my favorite type of theme in gaming also there so many skins I wanna get when those servey skins drop. It's just "sigh" going back to older maps that I already know and already played in the past just doesn't excite as much as the unknown of further new islands.

I’m hoping that with OG chapter 2 it’s a faithful remake of what it was, but I also hope that we get every season in OG 2. They could do what they did for the first OG season and have 2 seasons a week, combining the two seasons and their elements.

Chapter 2 was so boring. The only vehicle in the early seasons was the helicopter. The map was bland and too big. Shakedowns made too many teams die off spawn, which led to dead mid-game that everyone complained about. People only remember the mythics, bosses and vaults, but we get those in every season these days. People are going to wind up being very bored with this, imo. Ch2 was very different than Ch1.

@@John6-40 Chapter 2 was never really loved as a chapter back then, it was in fact hated by many (ch2s2 was the only season that was still considered alright). It's just so admired now, because all the little timmies probably started in that chapter and still play, whilst most OGs have moved on.

In fairness for Chapter 2 Season 8, the Venom and Carnage mythics were only around for the first week or so of the season before they got vaulted forever, so it wouldn't really be associated that hard with the season in general. What most people remember about Cubed was the War Funding mechanic to get turrets in places on the map anyways, so there really should be a potential chance at it being brought back too.

First of all I 100% agree that Chapter 1 is more popular (because that's just a fact, doesn't matter whether I agree or not) and more loved, but I still enjoyed Chapter 2. Also, when you said Chapter 1 was a "snoozefest", that's kind of the point. I like the simplicity, all the goofy shit from the new seasons just makes the game too crazy and wild to enjoy. And it's not just me, that's a huge reason of why chapter 1 is so loved, *because* it was simple.

My problem is the fact that if we timetravel to a past chapter every year and change what happens, things will get really confusing really fast.

I'm pretty sure it was said somewhere that they're doing the whole Chapter 2, not just 3 seasons. They just put the first 3 seasons in the image as a placeholder & because they can't really fit all 8 of them in one image. Same can be said for the Dr. Doom image, that's literally one of the headers from the comics.

I really think they got the wrong Idea after seeing the success of Season OG. They seem to be treating it as this nostalgia vat that they can rip old seasons out of when it comes time to promote the new chapter. What they should have gathered from it were the things that worked about it to apply to future seasons/chapters. We have yet to see a perfect chapter and if Epic actually took some old features or aspects and applied to new chapters while keeping the newer features that are superior It would be significantly easier for a larger audience to identify with the game and stick around. In terms of my preference for an older map remake I am personally very interested to see the chapter 2 map again as I view it as a better base map than say the ch1 s5 map. That being said Ch 2 was not nearly as popular in my friend group so I would rather play another ch1 remake.

I’d love to see epic do this! I’ve always thought chapter three was the best blend of cartoony graphics and realism in Fortnite, so if they’re gonna go back on these realism changes I think this is their best shot.

It’s extremely stupid that they’re not doing 7 and 8 when thats when ch2 loot pool started to feel fresh. For most of ch2 it was pump (sometimes charge or lever) ,scar,heals, Launchpad. Suddenly s7 and 8 came in with the railgun, Recon scanner, combat rifle, armored wall, shockwave launcher (as chest loot). I can’t understand the decision to have 3 seasons which feature weapons that are mostly from the first chapter.

I hope they bring back all Chapter 2 seasons because some people didn’t get to play them, and Fortnite basically has its ways with bringing back old collabs

It was such a struggle to get my og squad to get on og Fortnite when chapter 1 came out, but when they finally came around they enjoyed it. I feel like this time it’s going to be even harder to get them to come back and I don’t think they even will come back since it’s not chapter 1.

one interesting thing they could do for chapter 2 og, is instead of starting with the season 1 map and changing it over time, they could make one map that basically combines all the chapter 2 map changes into one map it would bring a unique twist to the season while giving an interesting and chaotic version of the chapter 2 map that we have never seen this idea would also not have an issue from making it work with collabs because they could just not include the collab stuff chapter 2 often undid map changes after a season anyway and most of the map stayed the same, the whole base map also doesnt have much biome variety, so it would be a lot more interesting if they did this

I would've enjoyed the simplicity but that season is when half the lobbies were full of bots, kinda killed the game for me and all my friends

i was really sad when the fortnite og season came out and there was no anarchy acres or moisty mire like for the people who played when the game first came out i would love for them to bring out the very first map before tilted towers with flushfactory, anarchy, fatal feilds, retail row , lonely lodge , wailing woods, moisty mire, pleasant park, greasy grove and dusty depot and salty springs that would really hit me with nostalgia to the fullest i already know chapter 2 just wont hit the same at all they need to bring back the first map

Considering Megla Don was leaked via the roadmap, despite it's differences to the Season, the road map is definitely real. However what may be planned is probably 80%-ish confirmed. Stuff can change in the time, and sometimes even for the worst. Disney could do something and then Pirates could be a no-go all of a sudden and that part of the roadmap is GONE, however that case, while still plausible, is unlikely. Due to the roadmap being made there's stuff in the works months before it's initial release, whether in the concept stage, or modeling/rigging/animating stage and what not. So it's safe to say little stuff will be cut from this road map, but the Rocket Racing season being delayed is a confirmation of the "worst" change, though on a lesser scale. Which means the roadmap is 100% likely to be different as the months go by up until Chapter 6, but by what small changes there is to be, we don't know.

Chapter 2 is so fun man I love chapter 1 and all but I miss chapter 2 so much. Especially seasons 2-7 they were my favorite time of fortnite.

Honestly, i mainly wanna see what skins will be in the og pass because while a season will change and maps switch, come and go, cosmetics won't leave a players locker so easily. It'd be cool to see something like (my ideas for remix skins): - Fusion Fade (Fusion and Fade remix) - Ripped-Ley Meowscles (Rippley, Meowscles and kit remix) - Came-Ocean (Cameo and Ocean remix) - Eternal 8-Ball (Eternal knight and 8-Ball remix)

I agree, You said some very wise realities. But you have to understand that its not impossible for collabs to return. MARVEL is from DINSEY. STAR-WARS is from Disney. DISNY and epic made a contract. disney will get 10% of epic games (FOREVER). this means that it is going to get a lot easier to get collabs back in chapter 2. and since we still have half a year to go maybe epic will figure it out.

Here’s a suggestion make a permanent game mode of the chapter 1-2-3-4 map and you’ve got maybe 1-2 million people coming back to the game oh wait that would make sense for epic to do na scratch that idea it’s too complicated.

I'm sure Chapter 2 OG will have more seasons in it. They probably only showed Seasons 1-3 in there because they didn't have enough space to fit any other ones or it was just a placeholder. And I'm sure Epic will figure out a way to get the collab stuff back in the game.

I’d honestly rather have them bring back Chapter 3 than 2. They could get lots of players with Chapter 1 by letting older players finish the battle passes they only partly finished.

well there is another problem with it being Chapter 2..... Chapter 2 got overwritten by Chapter 5 in the timeline, remember what OG Fortnite did with the time machine exploding from the meteor? yeah. that affected space and time and changed the timeline. Chapter 5 and Chapter 2 take place in the same place in time but Chapter 2, 3, and 4 have effectively never happened. meaning we are literally back to square 2 with the story between the IO and the Seven regardless how much they ignore it with this new story that is mid. and quite frankly i'm extremely pissed off i kept up with a consistently updating story for 5 years for it to not ONLY be pretty much retconned but also having the loose end cut off. this is what happens when corporate greed overrides the creative process and it's what made Donald Mustard leave fuck you Epic. no one cares about the new guy directing the story and his connections with the Marvel movies because i plot about a banana getting kidnapped by rich people which one of them accidentally summons greek mythology gods is not what the hell i spent years of my time following just to have the end teased over and over and then completely kill off the characters and then BRING THEM BACK WITH TIME TRAVEL AND THEN COMPLETELY IGNORE IT

None of it got retconned lol? No idea where you got that from. The Omniverse was dying in Chapter 4, as told by Optimus Prime, and now also told by the npcs on the map currently. The purpose of OG in the storyline was to use the Big bang caused by the black hole to bring life back to a dying Omniverse back to the present. That's why the rocket had the time machine attached to it. For someone who supposedly "Kept up with a consistently updated story for 5 years." You sure don't know anything about it, lmfao. Also, Donald didn't leave because of "corporate greed" or whatever you said, he left simply because he wanted to move on to greater things. Sure, his vision being SLIGHTLY lost could be a factor to that, but he said that crystal clear in the interview. And for someone who apparently, again, "Kept up with a consistently updated story for 5 years.". You sure aren't "keeping up" enough to see how much potential the current storyline holds, especially since it's the new guy's first shot at it. Have some faith, grow some balls, eat something healthy.

I think ch2 has the best individual seasln (ch2 s2) but chapter one has the best streak of consistently dropping good seasons (2-8)

4:00 CH2 S7/8 had a heavy, main stay appeal with the alien theme for two seasons straight. It also brought some very memorable POIs between the UFOs, the UFO's kidnapping people to play a minigame- and the PvE zones of both seasons. I think, however- it would be difficult for Epic to appropriately balance the thematic. The thing about OG1 was that it was a mixture of every season- specifically when it came to the skins. Every skin in that season was "What if 'x' skin was in 'y' season" or "What if 'x' skin was mixed with 'y' skin." Additionally, shifting the weapons available (bi?)weekly between each season. The 5 season roadmap is most likely going to be the ongoing thing, as since otherwise the whole CH2OG experience would be CH2S7/8. They're weaker thematically, but I expect S2 > S5 > S6 > S7 mixed with S8 specifically since it changes enough each week to not seem redundant. Now skins / battle pass wise- I would expect to see Slone, Jones, Meowscles and Jules specifically in some shape or form. CH2 is when they decided to become more story focused and Slone, Jones and *Midas are the most important people in the chapter. (*Midas just got Ascendent, so probably Jules instead.) Meowscles would be the filler mascot skin like Peely was for OG. Otherwise, drop it to something more basic like Maya, Lexa, Meowscles (still) and Raz. As for the exact skin mixes? It's more hypothetical, but considering how the OG skins were done: Stronger lineup: Slone + Torin Jones + Eternal Knight (despite being similar to the knight skin in OG) Meowscles + Rippley / Sludge most likely. Jules + Midas Weaker lineup: Maya + Joey Lexa + Tntina Meowscles + Mancake Raz + Spire Assassin

I doing an og season each year is an interesting approach. It gives new players a chance go experience a little bit of the past and get skins that revisit older concepts. I do think the og name is gonna end up seeming weird if they keep doing it tho. Maybe something like throwback would be more appropriate

I think that while they only showed 3 seasons it still will be all 8 seasons, 2 seasons per week if it lasts 4 weeks again. Sounds good to me

Here's how I would do OG 2024 & 2025, giving seasons equal focus whilst following the rules for OG 2023's map adding more instead of not being a fully faithful recreation of their seasons: 2024 Week 1: Chapter 2 Season 2's map. Other than Eye Land and the Ego Outposts, nothing would be lost from Season 1. 2024 Week 2: it would add The Fortilla, Catty Corner, Coral Castle, Doom's Domain, and Stark Industries. If the Marvel rights can't be renewed, keep Pleasant Park the same outside of the football field and rebrand Stark Industries whilst only bringing that part of the Stark Island back, keeping Frenzy Farm. Also, the shop near Holly Hedges would be added 2024 Week 3: it would add Salty Towers, Hunter's Haven, Stealthy Stronghold, Orelia's Island, and the Mini Spires. The Big Spire would be in the middle of The Agency. 2024 Week 4: it would add the IO Outposts, whilst The Cube Queen would reside over the Spire at the Agency. 2025 Week 1: Chapter 3 Season 1's map after Covert Cavern was added. If the rights for the Daily Bugle couldn't be obtained, replace it with either a non-copyrighted version of it or with Lazy Lagoon from Season 3. 2025 Week 2: it would add Command Cavern, The Fortress, Synapse Station, and The Collider. 2025 Week 3: it would add The Reality Tree on the island right of Camp Cuddle, rather than replacing it, and Shuffled Shrines. Maybe Rave Cave if they wanted to. 2025 Week 4: it would add the Herald's Sanctum. Also, over the weeks, 2025's map could melt the snow to how the Chapter 3 map would have looked like had people not asked for some of the snow to stay.

I think season 3 of chapter 2 can take up 2 weeks as there were about 7 stages of the water lowering and if it lowers every 2 days I think that would be really fun and actually make people log on more due to the changes. I mean I love the chapter 2 season 3 map as them incorporating all the stages would really freshen up the game and map a lot

I think they should just bring back the collabs especially season 4 that was without a doubt one of the best seasons in fortnite history. I could easily see them running a 2 seasons per week type of thing staying somewhat faithful to the original

Not gonna line, the Chapter 1 map was just boring to play as a guy who didn't play it until OG. I welcome Chapter 2 OG simply due to it not being that Chapter 1 map again.

@@CrispyMcMurray the main problem with chapter 2 wasn't the gameplay, it was the changes. basically only the center map changed after season 4, half the map stayed the same, game was filled with bots, and fortnite had 0 communication with the players, unlike chapter 1.

I, for one have never played Chapter 1 so seeing Chapter 2 return is nice for me.

I’m excited for fortnite OG 2 because I never played during that chapter. I hope they rebuff the mythic weapons from season 2 to relflect how it was back then but I understand they have to keep things a little balanced so if they’re nerfed that’s fine.

I guess maybe if they made a full map of chapter one it would attract more people because its "more favorited". But I think they should wait atleast one more year so it feels more magical. I would be so happy to see chapter 2 because even though some seasons weren't that good in some peoples opinions, I think there is some sort of magic in every map. ❤

they better bring the old movement back for og 2 or im finna quit

@@not1lord1234 Got boring by day 5. It’s a good gamemode, no doubt, but there are some flaws. There’s no form of skill based matchmaking, which forces me to fight FNCS players, and it just feels repetitive. Also, no trios and solos is kinda dumb.

I’m so excited for OG chapter 2. I stopped consistently playing fortnite after chapter 2 season 1, and started playing again at the very end of chapter 2 season 6. Glad I can catch up on what I missed out on.

I love the Chapter 1, season 4 the most. With the Omega skin and all the superhero story stuff.

Chapter 2 should not be considered OG….only seasons 1-10 chapter 1 in my opinion

Here's my thoughts. Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 each have their own pros and cons, as much as I would love to see chapter 1 again, there are a lot of opportunity within chapter 2 as well that they could tap into. I was personally thinking, what about a fusion between both? Iconic locations from both maps, New and Old weapons/items. Remember when the first OG season happened and we had the chapter 2 models and graphics in the chapter 1 map? Lets flip it! Chapter 1 model and graphics on the chapter 2 map! That way we can still have something fresh and rounded for players, while still slightly appealing to Chapter 1 OG. This is at least what I'm hoping for, but let me know what you think.

As someone who started in Chapter two, I do 100% agree that it will likely be less interesting than the first OG, but either way I’m hyped, while collabs will take away a decent chunk of the chapter, there are still lots of possibilities, like The Shark, The Fortilla, Boney Burbs, the Colluseum etc. there are a lot of interesting POIs and Bosses that could return and overall I think it will still make a great season

honestly C2S2 is hella overrated in every way possible

Nah chapter 1 is overrated. I've been playing since chapter 1 season 2 and I still just don't understand how people believe that was peak fortnite. I don't hate chapter 1, but I feel like chapter 2 introduced so much into the game. Ch2 S1 was long, but it was as simple as fortnite can get. S2 gave use Iconic locations and characters with a whole mode themed after the season. S3 had a very fun and unique map and gave us cars. I'm not a big fan of collabs, so I wasn't to excited about a whole marvel themed season, but the special mode and abilities were fun. Chapter 2 honestly feel like it was the building blocks for what the game is now in my opinion. Once again I don't hate chapter 1 I have a lot of good memories with it, but I just don't believe it's all fortnite has to offer.

I loved chapter two and I’m hyped for it to re-release but I hope they actually put a lot of effort into it like chptr 1 og. They won’t get 9.5mil players but I could see at least 5 mil being possible

Personally I feel more nostalgic for Chapter 2. In my opinion Chapter 2 was the best Chapter and it’s my favorite.

What’s important to know about Fortnite OG is that Epic didn’t add this because the community requested it. As seen for the past few years, Fortnite most of the time never listens to their community. They added Fortnite OG as part of the Storyline. We ended up in Fortnite OG through the time machine. Fortnite’s play record skyrocketed during Fortnite OG and it would make sense for Epic to bring back Fortnite OG for the money and records. But they’re adding the Chapter 2 Map and seasons. Lots of people prefer the Chapter 1 map and seasons for the nostalgia. Chapter 2 didn’t hit the same during it’s time and lots of people have uploaded videos on why Chapter 2 being the idea for Fortnite OG doesn’t make sense. Again, Fortnite broke lots of records during Fortnite OG so it would make sense to redo the event but Fortnite is trying to focus more on the storyline rather than the money and records.

it would be cool if we got Chapter 2 for OG season, and afterwards Chapter 6 would be a "continuation" of Chapter 1

I miss Chapter 1 to Chapter 3. Those were the good times in quarantine where u could just hop on with the bois. Sadly, those times won’t come back, as the new seasons are just terrible. The only reasons I came back to play them was for the Avatar collab.

We had the Season X rocket launch as sort of the anchor point for Fortnite OG, so I think it would be a missed opportunity to not get the Cube Queen and stuff involved again in Chapter 2 OG. We also still have the Cubes Cradle we didn't see anything of again since that live event. I am kinda hoping they'll use Chapter 2 OG to get that into the story again.

as someone who played a shit ton of chapter 2, id love to see season 2 and 3 for sure. i think we can skip season 1 all together since it didnt have much going on (exept the whole map being covered in snow during the christmas event, which was really beautiful to look at). skip 4 to 6 and end the season with cubed, so it ends like it did in the first og, with the final event if that season.

CHAPTER 2!!! That was when I started playing, first day of Chapter 2 Season 1! I would love to see seasons 2, 3, and 8 again! They rocked!

I’m part of the people who want chapter 2 back, it was the best chapter in my opinion because of the marvel season and the spy season, the weapons hopefully will be brought back, but pleas epic don’t keep the new features in when you do it, it doesn’t make it fun.

Sprinting and Mantling are necessities at this point and we had it during the first OG, so we might get it back.

I heard someone say that Chapter 2 OG would go through every Chapter 2 season. I guess we'll see though.

Most likely Ch2S8 will come back cause the Wanderer is some kind of last reality guy as his jaw was compared to a survey skin and they were identical.

I personally think that they can bring back the licence seasons as meetings would've definitely been in place when making skins return to the shop and that but epic are lazy these days so they probably choose not too

Another thing about og chapter 2 is if we are getting only seasons 1 2 and 3 then how is the ch2 end event gonna play into it? It was leaked that we are getting an end event, so is it gonna be a whole new event or are they gonna rush the s8 story towards the end and then have the event

They could do a marvel season 4 because it’s so close together that maybe how ever we get to the chapter 2 map some characters could have come with us

Then that roadmap got confirmed again by the announcement of avengers doomsday, and on that map season 4 will be a dr doom season

I wish Epic would make all the old seasons into creative maps. Even if you can't get the old skins again, playing on all the old maps would still be cool.

i just wish they did the same as Minecraft and made it so that players could select what version to play. I think everyone would be happy

I'm conflicted. I started playing in Chapter 1 Season 4, and while I was disappointed we didn't see Moisty or Dusty in OG, Lazy Links was one of my favorite drops of all time. I'd love to see the pre-meteor map recreated 100% faithfully with the UI and everything, but I'd also love to revisit chapter 2, as that's when I started to become a pretty decent player. It'd be so fun to revisit Lazy Lake, Steamy Stacks, Coral Castle, and all the other minor places I loved. It's hard to choose

i wouldn’t count collab mythics to decide whether a season should be remade or not. chapter 1 had the thanos mythic and the endgame mythics in season 8.

They’re probably gonna bring chap 2 season 3 but no water and just like coral castle and fortilla, kind of like how they had a small snow biome in OG
