Definitely makes me think SF wanted to cut down some years on the contract maybe tried a negotiating tactic of ghosting his agent and it backfired royally. Still could have dodged a bullet. I'm a Mets fan and while happy about the immediate prospects of deal very worried once we get passed age 32. Even before then he could be spotty with his health.

Long term deals are not in the cards.

This is much to do about nothing with all of these reports and rumors: "3 other teams are interested" "Correa may be available again" "Mets deal with Correa Falls apart" "Correa fails physical again" "Mets have concerns with Carlos Correa's Physical" etc., etc. etc. I get it, Correa is the hottest topic in all of Professional Sports, but don't think Steve Cohen did not see this coming, that he got caught by surprised, that he did not know that there were previous "concerns" about Carlos' physical. In spite of what he was made aware of, he still agreed to give the young man $315 for 12. The only real issue is the details and terms of the contract. I doubt very much Correa's camp will re-negotiate the $$$ or length of years. That's what they're working out now. We METS fans just have to be patient like the expectant husband whose wife is in the delivery room about to deliver their first child....LET'S GO METS!!!

There is no raw deal cohen knew what he was getting I hope all his signings backfire sherzer is finished and verlander is on his las leg and Correa and Lindor are rumored to be dating

Why does anyone care??? It ain’t y’all money, and I love how everyone wants to talk shit but giants fans were heart broken when they heard the news and the twins wanted to re-sign him but couldn’t afford him. I love the hate. Cohen doesn’t even care while knowing all this because the signing is pennies to him. Correa is gonna do his thing and we going after Ohtani next year as well. None of the twins fans would be saying anything if they re-signed him and none of the giants fans would say anything negative if he would have signed the deal. Chappelle said it best, HATE, HATE, HATE 😂😂😂.

I agree with everything thing you said, plus what Twin’s fan out there didn’t want this guy back. Cohen said, look what fell into my lap? Yeah I want him lol. As a Mets fan I couldn’t be happier. Just the idea of Lindor and Correa playing defense and I think they will be fine together for the next 10 years or so.

This aged poorly.

It seems like he’s damaged goods at this point. I didn’t know his injury history until this played out. However, I watch all 162 Braves games every year so it’s hard to keep up with anything else.
