No you are realistic. Been a fan for 50 years and this last year had me wanting to go elsewhere. The bears themselves weren't the only problem. The fans became toxic shitheads. And I'm done until I see winning. The fans and media made me sick of being a bears fan.

ME - I'm excited to see the HoF game. First game action with the new kickoffs, and Caleb vs. CJ, the warmup.

Besides Caleb and Rome, I'm actually extremely excited to see what Austin Booker can do. Even as a rotation guy right now, I think this kid could could be dangerous down the road. Time will tell

Our offensive line ranked number two in the NFL in run block win rate, number four in Pass Block win rate, and number four in totalblock win rate. Our offensive line is actually pretty good according to advanced analytics. Our biggest problem in the passing game was Justin Feilds holding the ball too long and the receivers inability to get open. We addressed the receiver issue but I do think Caleb Williams will be a great quarterback one of his issues is he holds the ball too long and kind of loose some of my main issues with Justin Feilds.

Have you seen where his (Caleb’s)receivers got drafted? 7th round! The only other qb with this little talent surrounding him was Maye! The other 4 qbs drafted had studs around them!

Other teams are likely looking to go after Caleb. The Bears better be ready to protect him.

For sure. O-line def needs to step up this year, but luckily Caleb is good throwing on the run too in case the pocket breaks down at times this season. BEAR DOWN!

The ones that are going to be a factor for the WR core. Is VVJ and Tyler Scott. Jones wasn't used right and I'm sure Shane will make the most of it out of Jones and Scott. They are definitely goin to be needed, it can't just constantly be DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze. They need good depth.. This team is going to be like what 49ers are offensively, except alot more powerful if they pick up the chemistry fast.. What people don't understand is that, 49ers and no other team in the NFL has 2 legit #1s on both ends of the receiver position. 49ers don't even have a true legit #1 elite receiver. Deebo isn't a true elite WR. He's an elite special team WR, that be used in multiple ways. DJ Moore can do what Samuel do, but he can do what Samuel can't do. Which is run routes better. VVJ is close to what Deebo is, so just imagine once VVJ finally gets going. The guy is not a bad player, even Deebo has dropped alot of crucial passes. Scott gives flash of Doug Baldwin, which is another win for Shane Waldron. All Waldron gotta do is, set the right plays up for this team to be effective consistently.

Can he play a snap before he gets compared to rodgers and Mahomes

Players are always going to have comps before they play a snap. If someone never seen caleb play and you needed to give a comparison to current nfl qbs then you would say rodgers/mahomes.

@@Marsh170 better watch them Sonny. He made Kyler look silly and only one other qb in the NFL can do that. You can’t actually coach that and yes that will translate well.

Let’s see it on the field before we anoint this thing. I see 8-12 wins, and that has more to do with the overall roster rather than Caleb. Injuries and how Caleb does will have a lot to being closer to 8 or closer to 12 wins.

Yes people don’t realize Allen is not going to play the full season, the trenches need work and even with a good rookie season which most rookie qbs don’t have one it’s hard to get over 9 wins with a young inexperienced team

I am not buying the hype sorry. I get that Williams has unbelievable talent, but I believe in the saying: "Patrick Mahomes wouldn't have been Patrick Mahomes had he been drafted by the Bears." He might be a solid wb for us for 6 years maybe, but he won't be a top dog. The Bears are known to try and force their scheme down a qb's throat, don't play off of what their qb does well, and fail to see coachable mistakes that their qb does regularly. If all of a sudden that changes then I would love to be proven wrong, but until I see it, I am not convinced

I'll take a unproven QB over a QB that can only read half the field and then decide to runs because he says no one was open.

How can a guy who never won a conference championship but lost several importsnt games to kesser teams be the one? The guy could not win even a bowl game sgainst s G5 team.
