This awesome dlc is more worth then i expected it to be. All the objects to decorate your house with is so amazing. How the new western structures work as a skin over your building is soooo smart you can make a steel house look like wood!! :O I’m already hyped for what new stuff aberration and extinsion is gonna bring!

I like how you also pointed out if you don't play much it probably isn't worth it. I played a ton on ASE but kinda burnt out on Ark so I haven't touched ASA much

I personally would say it was worth it. This video explains it perfectly it just the added extra content in it and DID make it way more fun since now you want to find treasure since its a new map and no transfer is available which makes it even more useful

Me and a buddy just recently got into ark and we were debating about getting bobs tall tales, i think we will spend a little more time with the game before we go ahead and get this. Could definitely see a use for the train system. Great video btw!

I am VERY surprised it’s actually worth it and I think most people agree I honestly cannot remember the last time I good say I bought a dlc of any kind that was genuinely worth the price pleasantly surprised tho.

The treasure maps do have rarities too! I got an Ascendant treasure map on The Island with a 496 armor Asc Flak helmet and a 298% Asc Assault Rifle BP. But it does seem that the maps expire after 2 days.

The barrel that makes wyvern milk last longer is definitely good for official pvp

I purchased the DLC as I will enjoy the train. Oasisaur is cool, but a bit glitchy with tames falling inside it

I reluctantly bought it, mainly for the later content, for SE meh..I landed on the Oasisour to tame it and was like SMH...my main basic base build will barely fit on this, so opted for a land base for now, may tame it later for S&G's, but over all , I've spent $30 on several purchases in my life that delivered less results than this pay to play content, so yeah, for me , not a negative investment. Love the game been playing for years and to see Wild Card do what they intended to do with ASE by introducing ASA, makes me very proud of the teams accomplishments and the beautiful entertainment they have provided me with. So despite Snail's hinderance and delays, they still made there dream come true. Thank you Dev Team, I don't mind the micro transactions, just be Loyal to all of Us as we have been to You. We all appreciate your hard work and dedication. To all the Modders, gamers, content creators, Dev Team and loyal customers a Thank You and a salute .....To ARK !!!

I like it haven't got to play as much as i want because of kids life work but i have fun even on official

I literally just want the shovel and don't care about any of the rest. I want to dig up treasure and also more importantly improve my crop plots in my cave making them grow faster, something I can't do with greenhouse glass because it's in a cave.

I rarely played ark ascended only due to fps issues, but honestly would be down to get the dlc none the less cause I would be playing the game way more often

I purchased the dlc, but being honest this is pay to play pve/win pvp. Any pay to win advantage imo in a pvp game isn't ok for the longevity of the game. Wildcard mentioned adding cosmetics for money, which people generally don't care. Adding full on items and gameplay elements in dlc isn't ok cause how they advertised dlc content in the future. I know ark content creators and die hards like myself are enjoying it, but this probably won't be good for the longevity of the game.

On my xbox series s scorched earth is mid but on my pc is magnificient 🤘🥰

I want some better performance for console before im buying any DLC because my game has literally went down to 2 fps once while i was on the beach on the island

Hate to say it but I’m not wasting anymore of my money on a game that doesn’t work like it’s supposed to!!!

Honestly i have zero problems my game works smooth and good. Unofficial server. Does any game on release ‘work’ in this time of age? Simple dont buy new games for over a half year including new dlc if you want a ‘working game’

Can u build on the platform vars like turrets or whatever? Could build a badass war train. Also how durable is the train?

Since the latest update yesterday the game runs very well on Xbox series x. Can't say anything about the other consoles.

I played like an hour or so of Ark last night and wanted to see how this expansion or whatever was, and suddenly your character started flying and I was like wha....

I guess we have different definitions then because I think this DLC is a cash grab scam that just happens to appear worth it only because they force locked actual gameplay behind the DLC so that if you play the map without it you have a decidedly worse and almost unpleasant experience due to the fact that you're now seeing oasisaurs that aren't worth taming because you can't keep them alive and treasure maps you can't even open without the dlc meaning dead inventory space forcing you to buy it to clean it out... That sounds more like they're twisting our arms to force a purchase instead of just "adding extras that don't break the game." And don't even get me started on the breakage that the coffins will cause to pvp raids.. once people realize just how broken they are with them not requiring foundations...

p.s. in my personal view it realy doesn't matter how good the rewards from the maps even are, the fact that they show up for people who didn't buy the dlc at all, nagging at them every single time they find one, even if it is a rare chance... in fact, the rare chance to find a map only to get nagged about buying the dlc actually feels worse in my opinion than not finding a map at all and having the dlc.

I play pve unofficial. I play mostly modded and sometimes very modded like 40+ mods. I bought bobs dlc and I think its worth it. I also look forward to the other two packs that come with the future DLC map releases. So really it's $10 a pack. In my opinion that's not bad but other people have their own opinions up price points. I don't regret purchasing mine at all.

for the treasure chest, can someone else with bobs tall tales find your treasure chest with a shovel or anything? or if you bury it is it just you or just you/tribemates that can see it no matter what? that seems like a huge piece for beginning game pvp!

I’m not sure, but people without the dlc, can look at the ground where it would be (if they can find it) and it would say “buried treasure”. People with the dlc, can see the bump of ground only when holding the shovel and standing nearby, and can dig it up

Buddy, they could have released ASA as a full priced game at $70 but they released it for $45. The DLC is $30 bucks but it's for Scorched Earth, Abberation, and Extinction, and to be fair, tons of games be charging $10 to $30 for just one cosmetic skin. And ASA in now FREE on the Xbox Game Pass, so how it is a Scam?

Oh yeah they’re supposed to constantly release content for free and pay their employees with fairy dust. Ark on UE5 is a dub, the dlcs and mods they’re releasing is also a dub. They cannot do all this for free however or wildcard would shut down. They almost did shut down if it wasn’t for the release of ASA.

Can we host servers for our friends without forking over money to Nitrado? Cause im not getting ASA until they allow everyone to hpst servers like we could with ASE.

I'll hold on and dont buy the DLC yet, since as far as scorched earth is concerned, only the shovel and those treasure maps are a cool concept, but not worth the money. Honestly, I'd love if those drops would just quit falling from the sky altogether and be replaced with this treasure map concept for scorched earth, island, aberration and unofficial DLC maps, I'd love that a lot. Oasis dino could resurrect any fallen dino once per 24 hours, but after the early game I can just breed back whatever I might lose in fights. The train, I heard much bad about it and I was not interested in it in the first place at all, wouldn't build or use it even if I had the DLC... Apparently all the things you clear out to build the tracks do respawn on tracks and stop the train, or at least so I heard. Lastly the extra levels gained from a few extra dossier notes do interest me as well, but I'm not yet even at level 100 so I'm not in any hurry to get them. If the added things in aberration really justify the price I might consider buying Bobs tall tales, but it really has to be worth it considering how much I really really don't want to give snail gaming a single penny after all the controversies regarding ARK 2 and ARK ascended.

If I'm understanding correctly the SE map is free but Bob's tall tales is a paid DLC? I played tons of ASE, mostly single player. I've been waiting on ASA because I don't want to pay for the maps again.

One of my tribe mates traveled from The Island to Scorched Earth and got stuck there for three hours as he fought his way out of the map while mega-tribes had taken them over. PVP btw. None of us have Bob's Tall Tales. The maps are free just not the special new stuff like shovel.

I dunno my friend just crafted the train pieces for me and i could use them. I play everyday and could care less about the costumes. And the oasisaur takes up 60 out of our clusters 80 tame limit so no thanks.

Excluding the oasisaur (spawn wise) yes, everything can be accessed on the island and any modded map, I haven’t even left the island yet (because I waited for asa to come to game pass and am trying to get most of the achievements on the island the getting max lvl one is gonna be awhile for me) but I can use the cosmetics, train stuff, the cart for medium tames, and the treasure map can be used on the island too

The maps from ASE (and the new dinos that were voted it for them) are free with ASA. It's only new DLCs like Bobs Tall Tales you need to buy.

Then you should have waited and watch reviews before buying new stuff. Also remember its not 25 euro for 1 dlc but actualy 3 dlc’s in one. So scorched earth is just less then 10 euro’s. For all the fun pve content that in there i have a blast fun time with my friends. Hopefully the upcomming aberation and extinsion packs is gonna change your mind. :)

Someone had this great idea that dlc customers get priority when queuing for full servers.

I keep finding loads of areas where terrain doesnt align with mesh, places to fall through etc. not watched any reviews yet but though it was a bit fucked tbh.

There was a major update last night where they fixed a lot of those mesh problems.

Luckily, I love Ark enough that I will spend 40 bucks for DLC.
