Great examples Jama is the best testimony to this. A lead concept artist in major movie and game franchises, who's also very public about Blender's strengths and where it should improve on :) His course is one of the best courses on using blender for concept art. I never thought of using blender the way he did in those vids. Btw you forgot to credit his work that you used in your videos.

Ben Mauro is using Blender in his pipeline (he also used it for making the Kit Bash 3D cover art). That's more than enough for me :).

3d in conceptual art is a rarety. Most studios don't do that (occasional use is there, but it's very minimalistic), 2d is way faster to do and gives a good idea about the style, and how it works in a scenery or action still. This is important to remains rather undetailed, because there will be quite a few iterations before setting on the final style/colors/etc. You have character designers (also part of conceptual stage) and environment designers (also part of conceptual stage), once the style and such are approved, the concept artist dive in and put more detail into the characters (same character from multiple angles) and props (e.g. weapon designs etc), and the modeling team will then use those to make the models. (and texture artists to use the concepts as guidance in coloring/style)
