    Thanks for another great review Chris. With mine on full flaps and low throttle I could fly by like a blimp. She does really good aerobatics as you mentioned. The bright yellow and big size may be helpful for those who have eyesight restrictions or orientation issues with small planes.

    Cool video Chris! I’m a fan of the CZ T-28. Not really digging the yellow paint scheme though. Would be nice to see some spring loaded retracts at that price point. Then again, it’s always fun to do upgrades to personalize it. Thanks again for another cool informative video! Should be able to make it out to the field on Memorial Day. Hope to see you there!

    Hey Chris, thanks for the reply! Just a couple of more of you don’t mind: what is the largest motor that you can put on the Trojan? Lastly, my grandson’s Apprentice to a nose dive yesterday and broke the motor mount. I got removed the bad one having to cut the plastic to get it off because the wires go through a hole in the mount. The problem is the wires are hard wired into the ECS and I don’t want to mess with it. So I want to cut the wires, feed them through the mount and install some quick connectors to reconnect the motor. Is that good solution! Thank you, Anthony Also, that Trojan will be his second plane, he’s nine!

    While I was disapointed to find the gear struts were just wire, and as you mentioned the wiring is prehistoric compared to other aircraft I have, after I saw three at our field fly beautifully for three different pilots and along with all the videos extolling the fabulous flight characteristics I had to have one. All that aside, it is the design of this model, the moments the simplicity and the grace of it that sold me. I have already upgraded the struts and the wiring and will likely upgrade the ESC as well as it is borderline adequate. All this will be done by the time this aircraft arrives at the field in the spring.

I have never flown before, but I have always loved RC planes, so I started looking for a plane that suited me and in the end I was helped well by an employee and I gained my experience on a Carbon Cub S2, I fly this plane both with safe and without safe optimally, so I want another plane and fly with it for about 4 months, everything is going well. So I'm no longer a beginner in my opinion :) I have 2 aircraft in mind, 1 of which is the Draco 2.0m and the other is carbon Z Trojan T-28, which of the 2 would you choose after the carbon Cub S2? please help!! :)))

    Hi, "balsa flyer" here. I have a question, what are the benefits of a foam plane compared to balsa and ply? I have never flown a foamy and for some reason I don't want to, maybe it's just ignorance hence the question.

  • @Thercgeek

    @Thercgeek

    6 ай бұрын

    Ultimately I think it boils down to manufacturability. At the smaller scales, foam is less expensive to produce in mass compared to balsa. They are extremely good flyers usually with much better durability compared to balsa. That said, a well designed rigid balsa airframe does tend to track a bit better in flight.

    I hear you, but honestly we’re talking maybe 1-2oz at most in an airplane that weighs many lbs and the airplane doesn’t know the difference. In this case, the simplicity of just having 2 connectors to plug in vs the otherwise 8 is more desirable for me. It’s a large model that’s kind of awkward to handle and these really help simplify assembling the airplane at the field for me.

    I agree 💯 percent. But keep dreaming probably the worst part of this is the wing connection wires 4 per side I'm getting the same style connectors Chris used to make that a simple task

    @RECKEM ROYS RC Those connectors will definitely come in handy and make things a lot easier, but unfortunately the screws holding the wings on, and their receptacles in the fuselage will eventually wear out and fail over time, which has happened to me with two different warbirds so far. I really think the way forward to make transportation and assembly easier in these big models, is the three piece wing with quick attachment and detachment points, such as with the Eflite Focke Wulf and the Draco in their lineup.

    I hear you on the 3 piece wing. That would be ideal for this airplane and simplify the transport and field assembly as well. Still an awesome model though imo.

    @SteelRainFPV well you definitely have a solid point. I have the 1.5 p 51 with the 3 piece wing and it's definitely the way to go super simple.

    Bigger is better anyway, because you can see the flight model better at a distance, which means you have a larger flight radius.

    For the price of this kit they should have been aluminum shock landing gear. No reason they shouldn't have done that. The weight wouldn't be that much difference

    I think it would probably do just fine. It has nice big tires, so that helps a lot.

    I agree it's over priced, for a foamie , foam is very cheap to produce. more than 700.00 with tax and ship.

    Totally worth it. It would be better 50 EUR more, better gear, better servo horns (these are a joke), quick cable connector, better prop and more AMP ESC.
