Been doing blinds all day and felt the need to buy all your sponsors shit...but the website glitches and didn't allow me to buy....so I'm gonna go over and buy all your shit instead their loss lol.
Nothing beats the traditional big block of ice
Bro, I take 4 square ice cubes, pour 3 oz of Old Forester 100 Proof and not even Bonded for a measly 25 bucks and that's a killer night IMO. The melt, for me, brings out the flavor in my night cap. Doesn't matter if it's Old Grandad or Clyde May puffing on a Montecristo No. 2 or a Saint Luis Rey Rothchild. Love it.
Sir, I'd just like to say, I'm 1 year and 3 months sober now but I still watch your videos. Even though you make the whiskey look even more delicious than it already is, I can honestly say it doesn't even bother me. Thanks for putting out such quality content! 🫡

@@JeremySiers Well, not sure if being sober warrants any congratulations. It's just something that needed to be done. But I appreciate it, man. 🫡😎

Great episode brother!!!
I tend to make an old fashioned or a whiskey sour, so it gets chilled when I stir or shake respectively. So those that hold well but don't chill well may work best for that. I tend to use small ice for the stir/shake and then use a big ice ball in the glass after.
Thanks for the video. For me, it's always been 2 ice cubes from your standard old-fashioned ice tray. I know that's considered gouche, or unrefined, but I like that "whiskey flavored water" Ha! Cheers, and have a great day.
As someone who watches your content for inspiration the way you decided to create the whiskey temperature scene is brilliant. The choice of music and pace were spot on perfect! #coldwhiskey #freeviski
Been cruising through subscribed channels. Miss seeing your content!! Always a pleasure to watch!!! Hope you post soon !!!! Stay safe!
My bud, Jeremy, watchin' ice melt so we don't have to... A true American hero. 😎

Not all hero’s wear capes 🤣😂
The only reason I keep a few whiskey stones in the freezer, is if my place gets a little warm while at work. Living in Arizona will do that. If a bottle gets warm, I can toss a few stones to take it down closer to a room temp without dilution. Very detail oriented way to do the test Jeremy. Props!
The Freeze Cup is definitely one I’ll consider. Cold enough and no dilution is key.
Great info! Definitely surprised by that freezy glassy thing a ma bob......
I've been making large ice cubes like you for years. But I always have two problems. In the zip bag the ice cubes stick together in the freezer after a while and when you take them out they crack when you touch them with your hands due to the stress in the material. I am grateful for every tip. 😊 #coldwhiskey #freeviski Thanks for your videos.
Super helpful video, Mr. Siers!
This was really well done! I appreciate your scientific method!
Love the "buff trace" shelf with the Weller, Taylor, Stagg, Blantons, Buff and Eagle :-) Nice!
Dude I love these vids. It’s about time to make your moonshine recipe though. Thanks for the content
Your IPA rant might just be the funniest damn thing I’ve heard on KZread in months. Well done, sir!

😂 thanks man!
1897 is my fav old forester whiskey row series delicious… gonna have to have a pour my self
Awesome charts going on! Thanks for the data. I’ll stick with my large cube of ice made with the same method you use.
Great Video on a confusing topic of chilling one's Whiskey. I like mine chilled so it was helpful. I use one large cube that is a "sphere" #coldwhiskey #freeviski
Y’all never disappoint with your videos. Long time whiskey drinker here and this channel is spot on! Keep doing what you do. 🥃#coldwhiskey#freeviski
I’ve tried the stones and cubes… ugh. The best, IMO, is making ice, and I use your method using the little cooler. It just works.
Love all your videos! Keep them coming! I still prefer the neat pour. If I'm wanting a little cooler option, I always use your clear ice option from your video a while back!! Cheers! #coldwhiskey #freeviski
I've been thinking about performing an experiment like this. Now I don't have to. Glad to see you confirmed my suspicions about stones lacklustre performance. Freezie cup would be cool in brushed stainless #coldwhiskey #freeviski
I'm certainly never going to apologize for having ice with certain whiskies. I know which ones they are and I grab the big sphere when one of the comes out. Great vid.
This is awesome. I agree with the IPA statement
8:11 Me from europe looking at those temperatures - Ah yes, nothing like some really warm whisky soup on the autumn evening XD I just like my whisky neat but that ice cup its kinda interesting.
Cool video my friend - Still a fan of the clear ice cube or ball 👍🏻
I wish you'd have added the large ice balls, but I appreciate what you did here.
Cool video! I was curious about those various ways to cool a pour down too. However, I'd be curious to know if any of them changed the taste over much. Obviously the small ice dilutes it,...large ice less. But I'm wondering if that plastic cool cup changes the flavor of the whisky any? Or the "big balls", lol.
Great open! Had me at Mr. Wizard!
Love the video, where did you get the shelves for the bar
Only thing missing in the formula was holding the glass with a hand because the body temperature definitely cause the glass and ice to melt faster over time. Awesome video overall though, thank you as always 👏🏻
Great video, surprised how big the gap was between ice and the "gear". Coming into summer here, best start stocking my ice supply! #coldwhiskey #freeviski
another great video Jeremy. definitely checking out your clear ice video, I am not a fan of watering down so if anything I use SS cubes. Neat and warm is my motto. #coldwhiskey #freeviski
All of the Freezy cups that I have. Have some type of gel in it. I believe it’s the same type of stuff that you find in diapers. They also have some kids toys that use Orby’s that is made of the same material.
I typically for neat pours too but in Houston's heat sometimes you have to go with the plastic cold cup or insulated tumblr with a big cube. Thanks for the science-ing and keep the great content coming. #coldwhiskey #freeviski
Try out the elevated craft whiskey glass , works like the freezey cup but better looking.
Great video I was always curious which way would keep your whiskey colder that was very creative love it #coldwhiskey #Freeviski
I always get a glass every time the notification comes through that you’ve released a new video. Not an ice guy myself but I get it. Great video as always, keep it up 🤙🏻. Also, that glass is absolutely hellish #coldwhiskey #freeviski
Newly 21 but love me some bourbon, just snagged the nee Elijah Craig Barrel Proof C932. Your videos have helped a lot with my whisky selection. #coldwhiskey #freeviski
My 10oz Yeti Rambler Lowball works great. I used their website customizable option to add my own logo. My freezer has a craft ice maker too, so always plenty of ice for all occasions. Of course my favorite way is neat in a JS handblown V2 or L&B Glencairn. #coldwhiskey #freeviski
Thank you for the shared thoughts on IPA Sh!t. Definitely love your skulled glencairns. No ice in my whiskey! Still interesting. My heart breaks for that super-watery small iced whiskey #coldwhiskey #coldviski
I LEARNED how to make clear ice from your other video on it. That opening scene in this video almost broke my heart.
As a fellow Floridian, in the summer I have a block of ice in my whiskey…the other 3 weeks I drink it neat. IPA’s not a fan. Great stuff!! #coldwiskey, #freeviski
Very helpful video! I’m also a person who usually drinks neat but every now and again a cold whiskey is perfect. #coldwhiskey #freeviski
I’ve always personally been a fan of one big ice cube when I’m drinking cold whiskey. That Freeze cup is interesting, but I wonder how it feels to hold as opposed to a normal glass with ice in it.
I'm pretty sure that's how I originally got turned on to your channel was that clear ice video from a few years back. I still use that technique for clear ice to this day! #coldwhiskey #freeviski
Loving this. Another awesome video.
Picked up a bottle of Russels Reserve Single barrel the other day and had to go back and watch your review from a few years ago. Great whiskey. #coldwhiskey #freeviski
Perfectly articulated!
Well done video with the data gathering. I’m going to try big ice vs the small ice I’ve been using. #coldwhiskey #freeviski
I will say that when I do want chilled whiskey I reach for a larger ice sphere for the exact reason you stated. Gets chilled fast and keeps chilled awhile but less dilution. Gotta get a set of those big silver balls though! #coldwhiskey #freeviski
Awesome video as alway! I found you in your clear ice video a few years ago. #coldwhiskey #freeviski
Aloha Jeremy, thanks for keeping the cigars and whiskey content flowing! 🤟🏼💨🥃#freeviski #coldwhiskey
I drink all my whiskey in a rocks glass with a big round ice. Always have and I think I always will. From Early Times BIB to Stagg to Van Winkle. 🥃
I love watching your content. Didn’t realize you were from KY though. I may be bias, but living in Ky my entire life, I think there is no place like it. Keep putting out the videos. #coldwhiskey #freeviski
You have 2 great cjannel you put the info out in a way this old country boy can understand
#coldwhiskey #freeviskey 15:51 Thanks for great Content, Just picked up the Old Forester .
Thank you.
I store gin in the garage freezer. Keep bourbon cream in the refrigerator. And my clear ice chunks in the freezer, naturlich. 😊
Love the content, keep it up! That freeze cup was something else… I gotta try the large steel ball, no dilution and almost as good as ice! #freeviski #coldvwhiskey
Another great video. Never would have thought about using the freeze cup. #coldwhiskey #freeviski
I think it's interesting that the stones didn't lower the temp to super chill, but it maintained around 60-65. So maybe it should be used to possibly maintain some flavoring
Another great show! My wife loved the Bud lite comment! #coldwhiskey #freeviski
Your channel Rocks! Semper Fi
The way ice can change a whiskey is just one of the many things that can affect a person's palate. Thanks for the informative content! Love these type of videos! #coldwhiskey #freeviski
love your content sir you are a gentleman and a scholar
Always good to see the videos come out! Keep it up brother!! #coldwhiskey #freeviskey
Love the shirt 🙌🏼 where do I score one of those???
Excellent content as always. I’ve always been a big fan of large clear ice. #coldwhiskey #freeviski
Just found site few weeks ago and really enjoy. Funny/entertaining yet good solid info. Trying to develop palate so trying some of your suggestions. My way to try new things is the smaller bottles behind the counter - stores here in east Tn usually have nice selection and can get a taste without breaking the bank to find out it's not for you. Keep up the good work. From looking at my subscriptions they are all fishing, shooting or motorcycles so I guess man shit is up my alley...LOL. Have a great day. #coldwhiskey #freeviski
Loved Mr Wizard!
I didnt know i would share this video so much when i first saw it but this has been a huge debate with our group of friends. Appreciate ya doing the science! #coldwhiskey #freeviskey
#coldwhiskey #freeviski I joined when you did your new A300 beretta video and truck video. I also had just picked one of those shotguns up earlier this year. So the video caught my eye. Keep up the good work
I learned the cooler clear ice technique from your video a few years ago. Best and simplest way to cool your whiskey. #coldwhiskey #freeviski
So I’ve been following your videos for a long time! And you posted that video of large clear form factor ice utilizing a cooler and I haven’t stopped using that method. Works great! If you need to clear it up, run it under water for a second and bobs your uncle! 😉 #COLDWHISKEY #FREEVISKI
Great video as always. At each interval you and Big Al should have done a taste testing and report what happens to the flavor, if you liked it more or less. #coldwhiskey #freeviski
I love that shirt you got on Mr Jeremy!!!!
I have personally always been a fan of the small ice or the large cube when I’m in the mood for #coldwhiskey. Keep up the great content! #freeviski
Great video! Thanks for doing the testing for us! #coldwhiskey #freeviski
Enjoy the test.. the freeze cup was an interesting take. #coldwhiskey#free viski
Have a great time watching your videos. I was watching another channel recently that claimed cold temperatures will reduce what you can taste in the whiskey by as much 60%. I was curious about your thoughts and maybe a video like this one on that subject. #coldwhiskey #freeviski
Good video. I prefer clean ice ball or cube personally. #coldwhiskey #freeviski
Like you, I am a neat pour kind of guy, but maybe in the summer I’ll have a chilled one. Normally use regular bagged ice but need to give your large cube process a try! #coldwhiskey #freeviski
What lighter is that for that? lol I was trying to figure it out and it's caught my eye. Also, yeah, always preferred the big block of ice, or neat (depends on how I am feeling really, but I tend to use ice more for cocktails, than whisky/scotch).
I love a large ice cube, melts slower and allows you to hydrate as it melts 😂 great video as always man! #coldwhiskey #freeviski
As always, great video! Keep ‘em comin! #coldwhiskey #freeviski
I love your gun wall
I’m gonna have to give those metal balls a try, but I must say your OG video on making clear ice has served me well so far. #coldwhiskey #freeviski
I usually never do cold whiskey. I’m gonna have to give it a try. I think I’ll get the cup. Also I’m gonna buy a shirt. Thanks for all the content. #coldwhiskey #freeviski
Surprised by the freezer cup, adding that to my amazon cart! #coldwhiskey #freeviski
#coldwhiskey #freeviski Great videos my man, I normally use the large cube for my whiskey.
Great Video, I literally had a few of these in my amazon cart. I was trying to decide which would be best for the days I want the #COLDWHISKEY without the water. #FREEVISKI
One of the good things about drinking IPAs is I dont have to give a shit about ice cube experiments. That being said I gave a shit about this ice cube experiment. Thank you sir for always producing fantastic content!
Loved the video! Good ol rocks for #coldwhiskey and #freeviski
I tried the metal cubes and they sucked... I'll stick to cloudy fridge ice till i get fancy with the clear cooler ice. Lol Great vid as always keep up the good work sir! #coldwhiskey #freeviski
I'm a neat person 99% of the time, but when you live in TX and it's 115 degrees outside cooling off your bourbon is "acceptable". Keep the great vids coming #coldwhiskey #freeviski
Thanks Jeremy, don't necesarrily like my whiskey cold or iced but good info for mixers. #ColdWhiskey #Freeviski
