Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Lets talk about valves and valve jobs. Why is it so important to do? Do you always do cylinder head work when you pull one off?

OLÁ. Dependendo do sistema de fabricação das válvulas é aconselhável NÃO retifica-las. ABRAÇOS Roberto Udo Krapf

Can’t find your 10mm? Just try to find your 8mm combination wrench!

That's funny when you are talking about the 10 mm socket because everybody lost that socket and 8 13 15

Just done valve seals on a 2006 silverado 5.3. It had the slight chevy tick now it sounds like a lifter the tick is way worse no code for a misfire. Any recommendations on what it could be?

If the valve spring broke and the valve fell in the bore while it was running you likely have major engine damage. It will at minimum bend the valve and at worst completely destroy the engine. Could go as far as punching a hole in the piston, cylinder bore, and/or head. Valve drop is no joke.

I have a 2016 Chevy Silverado POS 1500 53. There's metal in my ketch. Can that means she's done for it right? She's got no check engine light or misfire yet, but I'm assuming she's going to crap the bed soon. I'm thinking I have extended warranty. I'd rather just get delete kit but if it gets done free .. trust I want to delete it and with Texas speed kit and get a nice cam in there and get it tuned and upgrade the transmission. But I just don't have the money like that right now so we'll just see. I'm just going to have to run it till she dies and then hope the dealer fixes it

Why wait and hope the dealer fixes it when it's closer to out of warranty? Why not see what warranty covers and get it in sooner? I assume you have metal in your oil filter not catch can correct? These don't have a catch can from factory. If it's in the oil filter just tell the dealership you noticed metal in your oil during the last change and ask if they can dig into it. If they find the same thing they may just do an engine under warranty.

Im a Honda engine guy always thought they got the best mileage! Now i have seen on alot of these hondas! They are burning the exhaust valves! And really whatever metal there using is not great for to last 25 years with 150+ thousand miles seems to be right around the magic number! So now i have the head off my honda fit 1.5l and not gonna do what i did last time which was just replace the one valve! Cause i thought it was a freak accident and one month later it burned up another valve i took the head back off sure enuff burned another valve ! Replaced it car ran good for 15k then burnt another valve at that time i said screw this im not doing it again! Scrapped that car! But now like i said i got the head off my honda fit it has 170k all exhaust valves look brittle i wanna just change them all just worried about the surfaces on the valve angles! As im typing this i figure il just order them if there drastically different il bring it to a machine shop!

Bring it anyway, the seats transfer heat out of the valve. When they are carboned up the valve won't cool. If there is carbon build up in the combustion chamber oil may be burning up your valves. It will burn on the exhaust stroke and overheat the valve. Can also leave carbon on the back and cause it to insulate the back of valve and overheat it. On Hondas it all stems from oil getting past the rings. For a while Honda was replacing piston rings under warranty.
