I would be more concerned by the Medicare enrollment cycles, where the Pharmacy Benefit Formulations can, and do, change during the annual enrollment cycles. As an example, my Medicare Advantage (Part C) Pharmacy Benefit Formulary changed mid-year, resulting in a 314% cost increase of a necessary medication. These mid-year Pharmacy Benefit Formulary changes appear to be a breach of contract during the enrollment period, as it is not possible to change Medicare vendors mid-year.

No I wouldn't welcome an increase in the Medicare premium. Social security recipients received a raise of 8.7% in January 2023. That was a welcome cola adjustment. Why raise the premium?! It would take away from raise we received. How is that helping us?! Even though their projecting a 3% cola increase for January 2024. Why keep giving cola increases if you're just gonna reduce it by raising the Medicare premium?!

Everyone is getting an increase an increase on benefits except seniors who don't qualify for other government benefits! Is it fair some younger people who choose not to work are better off and list is growing?

Seniors shouldn't pay anything since the government made all kinds of money on the interest they've made from our SS since we began work at age 16!

I don't understand everyone's anxiety and "we are poor", "inflation is killing us", "we cannot keep up" mindset. My SSA is only $1233 this year and I know of 1000 places to retire tomorrow on this amount. I plan to work until age 70, reassessing SSA, investments, and my health and energy each 6 months. I seem to have a unique attitude of positivity compared to 98% of people over age 55. I view the attitude of most of you as sad. What happened? If you are over 55 you lived through massive housing valuation and stock market increases from 1979 to 2009, and a 6x fold increase in the market from April 2009 to now. What happened? Why are you fellow Boomers poor and negative mindset?

Because sometime life happens and we've had to stsrt over. You've been lucky. But we have not. Sick parents I had to help out. Job loss by husband in 2007 . Had to cash in life ins and 401k. Like sucks sometimes.

Some of us like myself cannot work and have no control over the high cost part b premium and I for 1 find it extremely expensive especially when I was working I never paid that much for healthcare insurance a month.

Good for you buddy must be really nice to be you. How about dealing with all what’s going on in life plus have lots of physical problems and mental health issues. Try having your mind set with a severe depression that just to be able to get out of bed and taking my meds is a big accomplishment. Me not committing suicide just cause of my family wants me here is a huge accomplishment everyday. Do you want me to go on?? Or does that and a few others on here answered your questions??

698 a month for me. Still living in the house I bought in 1989, of course it’s increased in value, but I’m not selling. So no cash here. I have student loan debt of 44k that I struggle to pay. It’s not mine, it was for kids education. Still my responsibility. Husband is disabled, so can no longer work. I wish things were different, but life happened.
