Is $200nl Zone SOFTER THAN MY CAT??? | Play & Explain

Ойындар

What the heck.
I thought $1/2 zone was the limit where people began playing professionally. But on Bovada / Ignition poker, the games are ultra-soft and look more like $25NL than $200! In today's session, we make some exploitative folds, throw in some donking in 3bet pots, and walk the limit like a dog. We walk it like a dog, and it's softer than my cat? Sure, we'll take it.

    I think if Ignition top off system wasn't so bad, you would see a lot more full stacks. I know i have lost some hands and went to the next hand without a full stack and ended up playing it because it was a good hand. The entire time wishing my top off had gone through.

    Love the content! I play on Bovada too. Can you explain how you make it so that it only shows amounts in big blinds? Also, I have way less bet sizing options for some reason. you have many more options like 25%, 33% etc. etc. Any info on this would be very helpful! tyty

    Love the content and analysis as always. Just curious though, why do you even have a randomizing method in zone at all? No tracking possible, so it doesn't really matter if you take one action 100% unlike ACR blitz or Stars zoom where the regs will eat you up if you're unbalanced. Also if a spot is truly indifferent against the field (or gto if someone was going that route), it wouldn't matter if you always went one way since they could never figure out you individually are unbalanced in the indifferent spots and by definition the gto opponent isn't gaining any EV against you.

    So the reason you mix is because people make other assumption mistakes because they think you aren't mixing enough. If you check back flush draws and get there, you'll be surprised that sometimes people will xr river too much to punish what they perceive is cappedness. But going the other direction and always checking a flush draw sets up other problems. Is there a strategy that only uses pure actions that crushes everyone? I'm sure there is. I am too n00b to know what it is.

    Also at higher stakes reg games you play at a table with the same people for hundreds of hands. You'll get eaten up if you slowdown a few hands that don't make sense .

    WOO another play and explain! Could I ask how you see opponents bovada hands in review (like a special hand parser or something)? I play ignition and when i upload the hand history files to hand2note it just shows me opponent hands hidden in the database though I know the opponents hands are in the file

    6:58 do you think overbet is better, than check-push with the quads unblocking straights and some fullhouses, which whould probably vbet?

  • @AlvinTeachesPoker

    @AlvinTeachesPoker

    10 ай бұрын

    No, I don't think straights will bet call the paired board but may call the river ob, and if he's got a boat is he ever only calling? Solver prefers betting large or checking turn, I think that would be the main improvement of this line.

    @@AlvinTeachesPoker Okay, good point there. Anyway, do you plan making a simmilar 200z play & explain video on ACR, too? As you said, this pool is really really soft, so might be more interesting to see you playing in a much tougher one.

  • @AlvinTeachesPoker

    @@davidkeresztes2711 these videos get posted as a byproduct of letting me students watch me, so if i have more ACR students who want me to play agains their pool I'd do so. But as you can imagine, since Bovada is the softest site for Americans, most people tend to play it over ACR.

    Isn’t 500 and 1k on ignition actually softer than 200 specifically. Because some countries cap at 200 and that’s the max the regs can play? I’ve heard this and heard there’s data to back it up.
