Great idea! I love the speed the iron cools down!

I think you need that bridge for loop direction regardless of it coming out the output or bypassing when cool enough. I'm a bigger fan of the steam box method.

Great video and explanation behind the reasoning. ~2 kW to operate is too high for my preferences (even if the steam turbine takes it to maybe 1.6 kW, but those who have the power to spare will love this build

Nice setup! I usually make a hot room with two steam turbines with the aquatuner only cooling the turbine which makes it even powerpositive. But your my iron comes out at around 130C

yup! i gave up power for cooling speed

You could probably kick a little leg out on your water loop and have the output land on a metal tile and further chill the output to 24 degrees as it sits over time.

i thought about that, but i figured any "wait time" would slow down the build as its built for speed- getting the iron out at a usable temperature asap

@@2LegitCity I was thinking about it as more fine-tuning the temp on the output during downtime before the dupes retrieve it, like a little extra heat removal while it's just sitting there waiting to be moved rather than an active restriction of the system.

Couple questions: does this work with all metal volcanos? Would it work with regular volcanos? Lastly... do you think that one AT could do the job?

metal volcanos + sulfur geyser work with this. regular and minor volcanos dont work because the lava is likely to solidify into a tile and block the spillway. while one AT could do the job, that is only true dending on the liquid medium you use insided the aquatuner line. water(and its variations like saltwater pwater brine) and super coolant are the only options for this.

why not have the iron boil water and run steam turbines? shiping rails will suck the heat out of the iron in no time

time, this build focuses on getting the iron out and at a cool temp as fast as possible. the steam turbine route is completely feasible but i already did a video with that type of design

Oh i see- i would try to do a one drop lock infront of that as well and keep the output water in a vacuum so that AQ doesnt overwork itself trying to cool the base through water exposure

@@2LegitCity oh, lol I thought I had taken that modification off of the BP, yeah, I'd keep that side area vacuum or temperature controlled externally. I'll save it without the leg so it more closely matches your video.
