Iron Maiden don't use Marshall amps, they just plug into the nearest Neutron Star!

Yes,they called the songs Devil Worship,said Rod Smallwood ? They burned the records or used a hammer to break them,said Smallwood in an interview MANY yrs ago..

The scream at the end of the intro on the studio version was so incredible the man who performed it himself has never since been able to replicate it

I remember hearing this legendary song as a 11 years old kid and everything changed. This is still amazingly great, 39 years later! Up the Irons!!

Drummer Nicko McBrain is an awesome showman, he'll stand up during breaks in the song and dance around like a madman, wear crazy hats, do silly stuff. The man is just an all around great musician/performer.

Maiden has played the same songs for nearly 40 years now every night and yet they always seem as thrilled to play them as the night they released em.

This is the song that got me into Maiden. Downloaded it, fell in love, bought the album the next day and haven't looked back since.

Run to the Hills from Rock in Rio with the audience out singing Bruce...

I think it's safe to say, y'all are iron maiden fans. I saw them for the first time in Long Beach California when they were recording live after death and have been a fan since the 1980s. They are the epitome of a live show. Keep the maiden rolling. Rock on.

I heard this song for the first time at a friends house in 1982 when I was 15 , rushed out and bought the album and have been a life long Maiden fan since.

I've seen iron maiden 4 times I wish I could have seen them 400 times every show I went to the energy that they put into there performance And the energy and the way they connect with the crowd is 2nd to none that's what makes this band so great.

Live is great for energy, but the studio version on the album is simply amazing, you can hear the musical mastery in all of its metal genius.

I saw the Irvine, CA show of this tour and i remember them playing this song 6th. I remember that because I was like I get it 666 the 6th song pretty artistic Maiden, lol. "Up the IRONS!" \m/\m/

If you ever wondered why there is a teddy bear strapped to the front of drummer McBrians kit...I believe it's because McBrain appeared on the kids tv show "The Sooty Show" (UK) in 1988.. And ever since then he has placed a Sooty teddy on the front of his kit. :)

This was one song i had listened in 1998 and said holy shit. The bass line, riff, solo and the scream. Nexr thing i did was to hire a live after death live at long beach arena vhs record and watch them all day long and even memorised all the stupid things Bruce said betwwen songs. It's difficult what i am doing , especially considering that i speak italian , but what i do it has no other purposes "than the dream to make new friends" and i am the only one in this spaces in doing something like that ! When i wrote i adore every aspect of you...the most important is your privacy and your happiness (also mine obviously) because it's a natural feeling . Those yesterday posts were written on the emotive waves gave to me by your videos (a lot) also with Jon that you know were a little bit hilarious and i would say awkward so the phrases became normal in that contest ! Great reactions guys it stands for a real interaction and feelings . You don't know me in real common life but it is what i appreciate. The technic of the bass player founder member is becomed a trademark . This song was written by him to exorcise his obsessions and fears ! P.S. Iron Maiden, The Number of the Beast. 1982 Bruce Dickinson debut album of the same name. I was 15 when I heard this for the first time absolutely loved it became a metal head right then. Every time they came to Vancouver I saw them. UP THE IRONS!!!

I was at that show! My wife and I drove down from Sacramento to see them. (which in many places, that's like the equivalent of driving through three states), because that was the only U.S. tour date they had on that tour so I didn't want to miss it. We were on the gen-admission floor with my back against the half-wall that encloses the sound equipment. During a moment of audience engagement from Bruce, they turned on the house lights, I looked around to see how full the arena was and standing on the other side of the half-wall enjoying the show was Lars and Robert T of Metallica, and Scott Ian of Anthrax. There was an actor/comedian too - but I can't remember his name. They were literally 3 feet from me all there to watch the Maiden show! I had an old flip-phone back then and of course got some pics; but sadly that phone has long been FUBAR and pics irretrievable.

Lead singer he's also a pilot he flys the iron maiden jet everywere

He also represented Great Britain in Fencing. He even recorded their last album while he had throat cancer, even though he didn't know that he had it at the time and he beat it afterwards. There is nothing that Bruce cannot do. ❤❤❤
