yeah... all the little allowance i got as kid i just bought iron maiden cd's iwas so much fan that my godmother bought me like 70 us dollar maiden hoodie lol.... been wearing it for like 20 years

It's not a robot. There's a guy on stilts inside that costume. They did this since the eighties. In the beginning it was just one of the crew members, wearing an Eddie rubber mask. Then they came up with the idea of having a stilt walker dress up as Eddie. I believe it was Bruce who saw a similar act in an opera once. On some tours they had the walking Eddie during one song of the main set and then another giant Eddie in the background on the song you just heard, which is always the final song of the encore.

They haven't seen the real heat......pls react to killers ....all the backbone of thrash metal ... second album of the iconic band.

..this Eddie on stage normaly fired his Laser gun, great effect, fire and sparkles comes shooting out...done by the rowdie with the remote controller. He was pissed off because the controller had a malfunction and didnt work..

Glad you mentioned the bass solo. That is Steve Harris , the founder of the band ..!

Talk about consistency. Their signature song is the closer of every show they ever made.

That's why they're the goat guys I saw iron made for the first time in 1982 and I've seen them 15 times over the years 🤘🤘🤘

i was there...in fact i started to see iron maiden since 2006 and io never stopped since then, are their shows are a freaking blast....GREETINGS FROM CHILE!!!!!

There is a movie about the tour Flight 666. Bruce Dickinson piloted the plane that took the band & road crew all over the world. There is also another DVD with a song from every venue they played in the tour.

Janick Gers (the guitarist doing tricks and throwing his guitar in the air) recently accidentally threw his guitar into the crowd, he does this thing where he teases the crowd and throws it but pulls it back by the strap, on this one occasion the strap broke free at the locks and the guitar went into the crowd. They gave it back though. This song is their set closer, this is about 90 minutes into the show, and they come back out for a 3 song encore after this. That crowd were still that hype that deep into the show, that’s the passion of Maiden fans.

Actually there is a whole movie (more like documentary following the band) on that tour. Flight 666. It is awesome!!!! I watch i it at least once a year. It makes me happy.

Seeing the original video for this on MTv in 1981 was my gateway drug to Heavy Metal. My second concert was Iron Maiden opening up for Scorpions in San Antonio on their Number of the Beast tour. Happily I've never been the same since. Up the Irons!

Janick Gers does all kinds of tricks. Launching his Stratocaster in the air and flipping it and catching it and go on like it never happened 😎🤣

Iron Maiden got me 39 years ago and they still got me! Up the Irons!

You need to do some of the bruce's solo material... albums like Skunkworks, Accident of birth, Chemical Wedding, Tiranny of Souls are truly masterpieces.

This video, as well as others that you have already done, come from their movie Flight 666. It has a lot of background film on the entire tour. I highly recommend watching the entire film. You'll be amazed at some of the things that these guys do.

Eddie is Iron Maiden's mascot and is on all their alblum covers. The robot you're seeing is remote controled and he fights with different band members...

The strap broke off. It’s something he’s always done, teases the crowd, throws the guitar and then pulls it back by the strap, but yeah that one time the strap broke off and the guitar carried on flying 😂

Awesome signature song from their first album and played at every gig. As you watch more gigs across the years, Eddie makes some awesome appearances. I remember being blown away on the fear of the dark tour and a huge eddie head came up with Nicko in the middle with his drum set.

Never in my life have I had more fun than being up on that barrier for a Maiden show. Heaven on earth. I still can’t hear the opening cords of Doctor Doctor without a tear welling up.

FUN FACT: The band originally specialized in folk music from northern Yorkshire. They took their name from band leader, and melodeon prodigy, I. Ron Maitin. Pretty sure this is all factual though my cat has been known to prank me. ;-)

You should watch/listen these old songs with the old singer Paul Di Anno. It should also be interesting to see Iron Maiden at small club concerts from their early days.

Thank you both so much, Iron Maiden are my favorite metal band of all time and they are absolutely phenomenal live, I finally got to see them at the Tacoma dome afew years ago on the book of souls world tour, what an amazing performance and sound quality was superb .

I'm Chilean, I've been to Iron Maiden concerts and they fill a stadium with 50,000 people, you jump in a mass of people but you can't move because of how close they are to each other, it's a human tide and if you fall you can end up very badly. or died by suffocation or trampling.

Hi Travis and Suzi! This was my second concert of all time because I’m only 18 years old. I caught the wristband of Janick Gers The guitarist who mainly throws his guitar up in the air or does high kicks! It was truly a experience!

FINALLY! Someone actually featuring the most iconic song of any Iron Maiden gig! Eddie is as synonymous with the band any of the members. Thank you for leading the way!

There is a moment in the movie (it may be after the Santiago, Chile show) where Nico throws his drum sticks into the crowd. They show a guy who caught one sobbing...just overwhelmed by the entire show. I felt the same way the time I took my sons to see IM. They were bowled over by the whole experience. Seeing them so happy was an amazing feeling. Incredible what IM can do.

Totally classic song.

The only thing I don’t like about this version is the lack of a big stage Eddie. Normally this song introduces the main backdrop Eddie, usually based off the album artwork, that comes up from behind the stage. This tour just used the walking Eddie which was a big shame.

I was 12 when i saw the World Slavery Tour - the giant mummy Eddie was the coolest thing I had ever seen!

this band is amazing,what can say more,well i love iron maiden too :) thanx to great react and have great day there.

No live video does this song justice. You HAVE to be there in person surrounded by thousands and thousands of people all shouting "IRON MAIDEN!" In unison with all the passion for this band they have.

Saw them at the Seventh Sons tour the first time. Crowd always went nuts when Eddie came out to play.

1 - this is a song from their first album, which had since simpler songs mostly, as they fit more with their vocalist at the time, although there are some awesome gems there too. 2 - that is their mascot Eddie, which features in ALL their studio and live and single album covers. This particular Eddie is the cyberpunk Eddie from the cover of the album Somewhere in Time. This particular tour from the video was not supporting a specific album. Otherwise, they well use an Eddie from their current album
