Respect your opinion but the old epic type songs they did on the old albums are much better with Bruce and Nicko.they slowed them down and the Bruce's vocals are so more appropriate. Songs like running free, sanctuary, drifter , and the shorter rock punk songs I like better with Paul.

Maiden wrote this song and it was released in 1980, based off the book. The opera by Webber didn't come out til 1986

I remember how I loved it and forever was a metal fan with great respect for the talent. i saw the excitement I felt in those early years while watching your videos. For those bitchers remember if you want to listen to the song then turn it on and not a reaction video. Enjoy the excitement of it as I felt so many years ago. There is people who will complain no matter what you do but I want the excitement back yu had with the first videos.

All reactors go to the live version when it comes to my most favorite Maiden songs! Phantom Of The Opera, Dance Of Death... I firmly believe first reaction to ALMOST any song should be the studio version. For this one the sound quality and tones are more impactful and fulfilling, the vocals suit Dianno more, the solos are better in the studio version. I know it's not your fault, I wish people stopped requesting live versions as a 1st time reaction.

I recommended the live version because I personally like it better with Bruce Dickinson singing it better than their original singer Paul Di'Anno (on their first 2 studio albums, Killers and Iron Maiden). Di'Anno's version is just different .... GOOD ... but different. I like the fuller sound from the live versions years after the studio version and with Bruce singing. Guessing MANY people will prefer the Di'Anno version ... but it's all good. Glad you liked the version that I fell in love with back in 1985 from the Live After Death live recording.

The original singer Paul di'anno was fired after their 2nd album. Number of the beast is the first album with Bruce Dickenson. Whom later left for a few years to go solo and other progects. Replaced by blaze bayley from 94 - 99. Thank God Bruce came back. You really need to do a live reaction. I noticed you don't show the vids on screen so that would be great. You will appreciate how great they really are seeing them live. I would suggest FEAR OF THE DARK live rock n Rio. . Insane how pricise and good they are live. Better than the studio version in most cases. Anyway sorry for the length of this. I'm just passionate about maiden. I'm 47 and listened to them right from jump. UP THE IRONS !!!!!

Phantom Of the Opera is such an Iron Maiden classic. Just like Hallowed Be Thy Name. This version is extended from the original studio version and even the original live version because now they have 3 guitarists. That is so all 3 have a solo. Back then, they only had 2. I so love when the guitars harmonize like they almost always do in Maiden's songs. Would you please react to their song When the Wild Wind Blows from their 2010 album The Final Frontier?

I was actually about to suggest the Nightwish Phantom of the opera when you mentioned it. It's actually a more direct reworking of the Andrew Lloyd Webber song, but like the best possible version that certainly I've come across.

Iron Maiden is always a good listen :) If you want another cool band to add to your list to check out in the future, try Zierler. I just recently discovered them myself, but they are fantastic. Only one album, so there isn't too much to check out right now. I suggest starting with the song Aggrezzor :)

This was still when they were barely into their 20s. 40 years later they don't need any computer tampering, they play live better than most bands play in a studio. They are as close to musical Perfection in the Rock/Pop genre as the Royal Philharmonic are to Classical. And Metallica might have sold a few million more records, but they don't come close to what Maiden do. Live, or in the studio. Watch a Metallica concert. Then watch a Maiden concert. I love Metallica, but Maiden are something special. And Paul Di'anno should've been looked after. He was something Special. To sing that way in ur early 20s is something that should've been nurtured.

Soterion Coil I bet Paul would love it if they re-recorded the first two albums with Bruce. The royalties going to Paul would make him do backflips all day long. 🤟🏼🤟🏼
